I'm always keeping my eyes open for NOLA style food and I decided to try this place while on town. I got the crawfish etouffee and side of gumbo. The food was good but it wasn't hot and the crackers were stale. With as quick as the food came out my guess it that it wasn't prepared to order. Not a big deal but the food temp was the reason for only three stars. Funky little spot and I might be willing to try again on another trip.
Wife and I drove from Leander to this great spot and experienced a wonderful brunch. I had the tall stack of pancakes (sorry folks, it's a pancake missing...are one in haste). And the taco was Arkie's Taco. Good stuff and the wait staff is awesome and super friendly. We're definitely coming back with friends and family.
We miss brunch, so I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak with Red Beans and Rice, I also ordered Jambalaya with Cheesy Grits. They were all so good! Especially the corn bread that came with the meal. And I also tried my friend s Brussels Sprouts and they were Delicious!
I like the ambiance of Sawyer & Co. It s an old school 60 s kind of vibe. The service is friendly and the food is good. I had the seafood platter & my Wife had chicken with veggies. We will go back to try another meal.
Bloody Mary s were amazing. Their Huey p benefit was amazing. Pork was seasoned to perfection (coming from a Louisiana resident.) cheesy grits were great. Great experience and cool place.
I was told to experience a place for myself and not go off bad reviews, but..... I m upset!!!! It was NOT good. It taste like someone visited Louisiana and loved the food and tried to come back to Austin and recreate it, but didn t have the Louisiana secrets. This is not it at all. I m sorry. I m not telling you to not experience it for yourself, I m just saying, don t be surprised when you get done and say I should ve listened. Service was not it either. They got too much going on to give good service to anyone. My server took my order and never came back. I waited so long after I was finished to get my check. I held back all my feelings because I wanted to tell them I wasn t paying for that nasty stuff, but I m trying to be nice. I could go on but I m going to be nice and leave it here.
We had a reservation that we made yesterday at 10am for 12p Sunday today. We were a group of 4 with a young baby. I first got in to confirm our reservation and was told that they don't do reservations so I went outside to get my boyfriend since he had the proof of the reservation on his phone. When we got back in, the lady changed her story from we don't do reservations to we don't do same day reservations. My boyfriend went ahead to show the proof on his phone and the lady said well there is still a 1:30 hr wait time. What is the point of having a reservations list if you will not honor it. We were waiting outside in the heat and also needed water for the baby and even that took a good 10 minutes to get...what homemade hospitality is this??? Truly disappointed!
The food here is great and the customer service is great as well. This place his a cute inside are and patio. I do advice you to make a reservation because the wait can be kind of long unless you don t mind the wait then walk-ins are still good!

Stopped in for a late lunch while visiting in Austin for a weekend trip with my family. This place is pretty nice loved the atmosphere, the setting & the food...customer service was great also. And the listening music was . Keep up the good service guys. Clean, fast service like all that!
