Sasha Photography Review

Sasha was our photographer for our wedding on May 24th, 2018. He is very talented and gives alot of input with your poses and also let's you customize how you want the group photos to be. Our only regret was not asking for a "normal" shot of us where we are looking at the camera so we can frame it. Otherwise, ALL the pictures turned out great! Sasha makes you and your guests feel comfortable. He's also funny and made us all laugh which looked great on camera. I would highly recommend Sasha and would book him again if we have another major event.

Words can not describe how amazing Sasha was regarding our wedding. He was there every step of the way, helping both myself and my husband feel relaxed and comfortable. Beyond that, he made a point of making our wedding party feel comfortable which is what truly made the day.

From our first point of contact to the photos we received after the wedding, I can not think of a single moment I would change. He is truly one of the best!!!! I can't honestly think of anything I would change about any of our interactions. Sasha has a way of asking the most perfect questions to get a complete understand of EXACTLY what your vision as a bride is. He made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day, that I forgot about the camera.

We just love love love our photos from the session with you Sasha! You have a beautiful eye and I was thrilled with the warmth and insight that your photos brought to our shoot in the wood. I was impressed that you had earlier visited the site to scout out the location for good spots and already had ideas ready for us. At the same time you were totally open to us sharing pinterest pins for poses and brought them in though I am a total novice and it would also have been fine to tell me that they wouldn't work! You managed to get photos of our baby girl smiling even thought we found out afterwards she had an awful ear infection which made her pretty sad! All in all a really great experience. After a long search for a photographer, we came across Sasha Photography! We hired Sasha to capture special moments of our multicultural wedding on July, 2017. From the first meeting and conversation with Sasha, we knew he was the right person to do the job. Sasha was the photographer for our civil wedding at the San Francisco City Hall. He is very professional and patiently instructed us how to pose for our creative photos and was very friendly at all times. He also kindly gave us ride from the city hall to the park for our one extra location photos. We got almost 300 wonderful photos from the 2 hour package. I highly recommend Sasha if you want an efficient and worry-free experience!

My wife and I are from the DC area and we planned a destination wedding in San Francisco, having never been there before. On our planning trip, 6 months before our wedding, we met Sasha at the City Hall. He was on time, professional, and best of all, very knowledgeable about San Francisco. He gave us a ton of advice about City Hall, the weather to expect, transportation, and venues that we were going to be looking at on top of walking us through City Hall and explaining different places we could take photos.

During the time between our first meeting and our wedding, Sasha was very responsive when answering emails. He uses DocuSign for contracts and accepts PayPal for deposits and payments which makes the entire process a breeze.
The day of our wedding, Sasha was already at City Hall when we arrived. We immediately started taking photos in different locations throughout City Hall. Sasha was extremely professional, but did a great job of keeping things light and fun. In the three hours we had with Sasha, he took photos for us inside City Hall, outside on our trolley, at Fort Point, and at our venue, Cliffhouse.

The images we received have been nothing short of spectacular! We ve received a ton of compliments on how beautiful they are and can t thank Sasha enough for all the help he provided and his artistic ability to capture the most important day of our lives.

Yet another 5-star review to add to Sasha's list! I can confirm that everything everyone has said is true: Sasha is fantastic!

You don't want to leave the capturing of one of the biggest days of your life in just anyone's hands, so we did a lot of research on various photographers. Once we had our meeting with Sasha, we knew he was the one. He asked all the right questions and made us feel like we had a skilled artist working with us.

On our big day, he arrived right on time (actually, a little early so he could familiarize himself with the grounds), dressed impeccably and ready to start capturing moments. There's a quiet confidence about him, like he's done this hundreds of times (and he has) as he started taking pictures of all the pre-wedding details and both parties getting ready. I immediately felt like I was in extremely competent hands, a blessing on a day full of stressful details. When it came time to take the post-ceremony family pics, it was a balmy 87 degrees (which feels like 120 degrees to a bride in layers of lace and tulle!), and I was really weary and needed this to go quickly. Without even having to say anything, Sasha sensed my exhaustion and starting directing the crowd, giving commands like "I need X, Y and Z to stand under these trees" and "X: hands in your pocket and look slightly to the left" without ever sounding like he was barking orders. His polite efficiency was SO appreciated. And he remembered everyone's names! Incredible.

We got a few sneak peek pictures back almost immediately following the wedding, and the whole online gallery followed shortly. I'd heard you had to wait months with some photographers to release their photos to clients, but Sasha gave ours to us within a few weeks (!). From there, it was REALLY hard to pick which were our favorites; our wedding party looked like a bunch of supermodels, the angles were varied and interesting and he captured all the right moments. And the BOOK. OMG. THE BOOK. When we finally selected our favorites and the book arrived, we were floored. The book was SO beautifully arranged and the pages are printed on a heavy, stiff material much thicker than paper (we're showing this puppy to a lot of people, so it's a great choice for durability). It is absolutely beyond perfect. Sasha is a true artist, and we are so grateful for everything he's done for us. Thank you Sasha!!!

My husband and I recently got married at San Francisco City Hall, just the two of us. We wanted something small and intimate, but were serious about getting great pictures at SF City Hall and at the Golden Gate Bridge. From start to finish, Sasha was impeccably professional. He was prompt and polite in our initial correspondence. He not only helped me choose the best photo package for our plans, but also had key advice about the protocol with getting married at this venue. He even reassured me when I was having trouble securing the date I wanted with City Hall. On our big day, Sasha was on time and put us at ease. I tend to get nervous when being photographed, but he made sure we both felt comfortable and relaxed. We have the most genuine smiles in our photos because of this.

We just received our finished photos. Although it was the holiday season, we still received our photos promptly. I can't believe how many beautiful photos Sasha was able to capture. I always thought that when it comes to wedding photos, you would be lucky to get 5-10 truly great images. With Sasha, almost every photo was flawless! It has been so fun to view the slideshow and see our special day through such a well-executed lens.

Sasha is amazing! He was responsive, easy to book, completely engaged and customer oriented! Sasha's knowledge of SF city hall weddings was so appreciated by me and my husband, as we are not from the area and needed guidance on how everything would flow. We relied on him on the big day as we had no clue what the "city hall" process was! As we had no real organization of our wedding - he just went with the flow, moving around on his own to be in the best placement for photo ops and basically coordinated the optimal use of our time. I have been a fan of Sasha's for many years now. I first saw his work seven years ago, through an acquaintance's wedding, and I fell in love with his artistic ability to capture light, reflection, and architecture and to be able to create a harmonious scene from those. He takes his entire surroundings into consideration, something many photographs don't actually do, and he crafts something magical from them, always finding the most unique angles. After that first introduction to his photography and following his work from then on, I knew one day I had to have Sasha as my wedding photographer, even though at that point, I had no one in my life and wouldn't for several more years. When I got engaged, Sasha was the first person I contacted. I wanted him to be my engagement and wedding photographer so much, that I would have been willing to change any date of my wedding to suit his schedule. People use the term "artist" so freely now, but I do not use it lightly. One needs to be a master of their craft for me to use it and I can say, without a doubt, that Sasha is an artist. I found Sasha on Yelp while I searching for a photographer with City Hall wedding experience. Ultimately I chose him as my photographer because his pictures are beautiful and dramatic at the same time. My husband and I went with the cadillac of packages and Sasha did not disappoint. Am I the only only one who was more nervous about wedding photos than I was about the wedding itself? My husband and I decided to get married in San Francisco because we wanted a simple ceremony without the stress of planning a huge wedding back home in Chicago. But we still wanted to have some great photos of our special day that we would be able to look back on fondly for the rest of our lives. In fact, one of the reasons we chose to elope to San Francisco was because they have such a BEAUTIFUL City Hall.

As we researched photographers for a City Hall wedding, the photos on Sasha's website stood out as distinctive and absolutely gorgeous. We contacted him, and throughout the process of booking him, he was prompt in getting back to us with questions, always helpful and encouraging, and really easy to work with.

That's great and all, but I still was coming to this with a dread of having my picture taken, and part of me was honestly worried that no matter how good the photographer was, I would end up looking ridiculous in the pictures. On the day of the wedding, Sasha was so professional - he was laid-back in his attitude while confidently directing us from place to place at City Hall and Palace of Fine Arts. We had the opportunity to get to get to know more about him while he got to know us throughout the process. It helped me forget to be self-conscious about having my picture taken, and the results were fantastic.

After getting the photos back and getting to share them with friends and family, we have received so many compliments on the photos. In addition to being beautifully composed and lit, people have commented on how well he was able to capture the happiness of the day. From my first inquiry all the way through the wedding, Sasha has been an impeccable communicator and promptly answered all of our questions as they popped up. He arrived on time and utilized every minute of our 3 hour photo shoot. He knows the building staff/security and was able to navigate all over the building to get us amazing shots.

And how did the photos turn out? Amazing. I normally hate photos of myself however I easily found 40 shots that I loved. He thoughtfully composes each shot, ensures we at the correct angle, and then lights the shots with great precision. We live in Houston, but absolutely love San Francisco that's we decided to do a last minute engagement photo-shoot in San Francisco. So we had little to no time to look for a good photographer. I did a quick online search and found Sasha's page and all of the awesome reviews about his amazing work. His pictures looked very nice, reviews were great, and I've got a good gut feeling about him so I contacted him hoping that he wouldn't decline my request because it was so last minute. He was so nice and so prompt to answer my questions and squeezed us in his busy schedule. The day of the photo-shoot he recommended us the best time to shoot to get the best pictures, made us laugh, and helped calm down my nerves. We really enjoyed shooting with him and the pictures came out beautiful! I am so glad I found Sasha photography!

I found Sasha by googling "Best Photographer in San Francisco." I reviewed his website and his portfolio. The pictures were absolutely stunning. I thoroughly read his website and then contacted him. He was a book of information for my last minute elopement. I was able to put it together in less than 4 weeks because of all the information he poured into his website and what he shared with me over the phone. He made suggestions for things that I had completely overlooked. We were ready for the big day within a couple of days of speaking to him. The details were a breeze and there was no guess work or pressure for anything additional. The day of the wedding, he was phenomenal. It happened to be the same day as an SF gala and the stairs (a picture I really wanted to take) were completely off limits. As we were making our way to check in - several people stopped to say hi to him (he's quite affable) and to tell us that we had the best photographer. He was able to capture some beautiful creative shots while we were waiting and to convince the magistrate to meet us on another floor (that's usually by reservation only) with practically only a smile. His creativity and vision made out for some stunning photos that I will treasure for the rest of my life. It was very important to us to have a photographer truly capture the moment since most of our family & friends would be unable to attend. We received the sneak peeks in just a few days and the rest of the photos within the time frame we had agreed upon. This was the best experience I've ever had, hand down. In my honest opinion, there is NO photographer better than Sasha. Reach out to him. You won't regret it!!!
