The sangallo palace is located in an excellent position, 5 minutes walk from the historic center of Perugia reachable by escalators, and in front of the bus station.

A hotel with everything you need. Plentiful and very varied breakfast. I did not put 5 stars because aesthetically it is a classic 80s hotel with a fully paid minibar and no kettle or similar in the room.

Friendly and very helpful staff.

We loved our stay in Perugia and our accommodation at Sangallo Palace was excellent, very clean and a very friendly & helpful staff. I left my reading glasses on the reception counter, and as I was travelling Around I had to ask them to send them home to friends in Australia and sure enough they were delivered safe and sound.
I would like to thank the staff for their help in returning my glasses, luckily I had a spare pair with me.
A very enjoyable stay and a big thankyou to all the staff and would highly recommend this hotel.

Very convenient for its proximity to the center of Perugia. The rooms are well furnished, comfortable and clean as well as spacious bathrooms and very clean. Good and varied breakfast. Excellent agreement with parking for 11 a day.

Excellent and well-kept hotel, excellent location, good restaurant

Hate is a strong word and that why I use it. To be transparent, my family liked this hotel alright. I did not.

The staff was surly at times and the accommodations were lacking. The linens on the bed were incredibly uncomfortable. Air conditioning was not as advertised. The system barely made a breeze and the staff was unhelpful in remedying this.

The breakfast buffet needs to be greatly improved. The pastries were inedible. I will say, the place had decent wifi connection.

Always clean rooms, good location, possibility of parking at a reduced cost. They accept the holiday bonus. Mediocre breakfast for a 4 star. The only minus was the restaurant. The quality of the food does not match the price. Very pleasant gym and swimming pool.

Good location, absence of carpets and wonderful breakfast and service

We spent two nights at Sangallo, my husband and I. Very friendly staff, varied and good breakfast, cleanliness in the standard, well heated environment, very good location. I advise! The only flaw is the swimming pool and the fitness environment, in this latter too much temperature change and in the pool water tends to be cold rather than warm, too bad because after walking around Perugia it would have been nice to have a relaxing hot bath (since the pool is 'is, even if it is not a spa) rather than cold! We have cmq stayed very well.

Located right across from the bus station in Perugia. Breakfast was great and the rooms were perfect. George at the front counter was very helpful when we checked in.

Tactically located hotel, close to the underground car park and escalator access to the center, well maintained and with a nice gym and swimming pool. Hearty and quality breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Super recommended. Maybe the chamber maids should keep the mask up to the nose when they redo the rooms (in time of Covid)

Great location with discounted parking. Rooms and rooms are clean but furnished in an old style. Good breakfast. Courteous daytime staff but the night porter woke us up in the middle of the night for information. Very bad.

We had dinner at the Sangallo hotel restaurant and we were very impressed by the goodness of the dishes (even in their simplicity) and by the exquisite courtesy of the staff.

Stayed one week. Nice hotel. Breakfast is 5 stars. Cant ask for better placement as you go to the Centro thru the underground city. Clean rooms, some things should be renovated tho. And once, I'm not sure, I think they didnt change my towel when I left it in the bath (as instructed to do if u want it changed) bcoz it was wet when I came back.

Like the hotel. Short journey to the centre of Perugia (up escalators). Room is quite, clean and welcoming. Near the bus station so handy for local trips.

Excellent cozy and elegant hotel with a beautiful view, excellent downtown location and well connected to the railway station via bus line A or D with a stop in front of the partisans, practically below a hotel reachable from the hotel by lift.

A few steps from the center and the Partisans car park. The lady of the reception very friendly and helpful in giving us all the information. Pleasant breakfast and attentive staff. Modern, comfortable, functional and tastefully furnished room!

It cannot be said that it is not all functional and functional and positioned very well but we are talking about an old-fashioned hotel ... which then wants to turn the omelette saying that the furnishings are designed by an architect in that style, but maybe they were designed in the 70s !!! for me it is all to be redone and rejuvenated ... very good breakfast ... small swimming pool with no air. very nice the gym.

Excellent hotel. Very central, adjacent to the Rocca Paolina, ideal to discover and appreciate the beautiful city of Perugia. Friendly staff. Also the value for money is good.

Room and bathroom not huge but impeccable cleanliness. Breakfast good and quite varied. Indoor pool of acceptable size but lukewarm water.
Paid public parking and escalators for the center practically attached to the hotel, so enviable position.
Excellent value for money.

The hotel is very well located a few meters from the escalators with the possibility of going on foot. Spacious and clean rooms. Friendly and competent staff. Equipped with swimming pool and gym with free access given the times.
The breakfast is normal, especially good in desserts, with room for salty.
The only note is the restaurant with not so great products. The staff with their kindness saved us a really mediocre dinner. It drops a star for this!

A little dated but comfortable .... Also for partisan parking.

We know that times are very difficult at the moment for all travel business. The San Gallo Palace in Florence is doing all that it can to keep clients monies when they fully know that they will not be open for incoming tourists. In fact, the country is not open for incoming tourists.

We have been told that the reason for the San Gallo Palace are unable to refund our group booking starting the week commencing 25th of May 2020 are, in no particular order:

i. The hotel is closed and a refund may be possible when they reopen in September. (They are currently taking bookings from the 1st of July)
ii. They are unable to offer a refund as they are in financial trouble.
iii. Only a voucher can be issued for a refund to be used in the next 12 months (we wont be dealing with the hotel in the future regardless so, a pointless gesture)
iv. The Italian Government are not allowing any companies to refund (other hotels that we deal with have already refunded us)

All of the above just seem a way to not do the right thing and to make some easy money while everyone is unable to travel to Italy.

My advice for any traveller heading to Florence and considering a stay in this hotel would be to avoid them. Hopefully another lockdown doesn t happen, but if you are booked and then unable to travel, they will pocket your money without a second thought.

The city has many others to choose from that do run their business correctly and that do care about their clients.

Hotel Sangallo - We stayed at this hotel for a weekend during eurochocolate. A very pleasant stay, assisted by the very kind Mr. Andrea from the reception who supported us for all our requests. Hotel with great attention to detail - the attention to the style of furnishings in line with the history of Perugia is striking - very clean and with a high attention to the environment. Rich breakfast for all needs, tastes and habits. Definitely 5 full stars for everything! Highly recommended !!!!

Nice, all very nice, shame about the carpet in some of the rooms and the old TVs, but great breakfast like everything.

A good hotel with a large covered parking lot underneath and very close to the escalators. It is in a strategic point and in a moment you are at the center. Beautiful and well-kept rooms. We ate at the in-house restaurant and enjoyed it very much. Typical Umbrian cuisine. The rich and tasty breakfast buffet satisfies everyone.

In the center of the city, it is a classic place, but it is also slightly old, the bathroom is not too bright, and the bathtub is very slippery.

All great, two steps away (or rather, escalators) from the pedestrianized historic center, well-appointed rooms and breakfast in the morning with the maximum choice, hotel parking and exquisite staff (no, we didn't eat it !!).

The Sangallo Palace Hotel in Perugia was a delight to stay for (2) two nights.It's location for Andrew and my-self from Australia, we had been been touring Europe for some (6)six weeks suited our needs and requirements to our high standards of satisfaction.Staff of a high quality standard with English to acceptable level and extremely co-operative and joyous in their communication.Location of this Hotel suited us and ALL that it provided with its broad infrastructure facilities.We would have no hesitation to return and stay.Thank-You.

However, in your case I am very pleased to refer my experience and would probably have volunteered it myself. Your hotel is very well situated to visit the splendid city of Perugia. Moreover we found the staff and reception very friendly and cooperative. The level of comfort was excellent and I cannot recall enjoying a more comfortable bedroom anywhere else in Italy. Ample breakfast cereal toast croissants cakes cheese ham eggs yogurts
fresh juice tea coffee hot chocolate. just what you need to explore. We had third floor room nice and quiet. try the pool and gym after a day of walking nice and relaxing. Hotel ideal for airport bus which stops here and is only half an hour from airport. Wonderful people and place.
