Sande Alessi Casting Review

Sande has done some really impressive work, and is so awesome for making herself available to people for great insider advice for the business.

Sande is a genuine, warm hearted person who is so honest and caring. She cares for us Background actors and makes sure we are treated well as she was one herself!
When given the chance to work for her, the experience is always good and I am grateful for the work.

A casting call for extras for Straight Outta Compton was released on the Sande Alessi Casting Facebook page. The casting call was looking for African-American girls for the film using an A-D ranking scale. Though the "A girls" category was looking for drop dead gorgeous "classy" women of all colors, the "B through D" categories were very explicitly linked with skin-tone. As the women get less attractive, the casting call wants the women's flesh tone to be darker, with the lowest listing calling for "African American girls. Poor, not in good shape. Medium to dark skin tone."

My experience was fantastic. From registering to my first booking with Sande. Everyone on set were kind, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to future bookings.
