I don't know what people are expecting or looking for when they walk into the Sandbar but seriously...this is what it's all about. Anytime a bar provides GREAT music and THE BEST food every single time AND makes you feel like a local when you live hundreds of thousands of miles away, they're doing something right! GO HERE EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU'RE IN COCOA BEACH!!!!

This is where you grab your drinks and walk straight to the beach, no detours straight to the beach and have a great day!!

Went there yesterday about noon, food and the atmosphere was amazing...
If you are anywhere near this place, it's an absolute must...try the "deluxe combo", it's off the charts if you like crab legs and shrimp.

Such a great place to have a drink, some super delicious food, and hear great music. The tacos especially the fish tacos are a must!! If Love Valley (band) is playing you need to be there. Awesome sound, good vibes, will definitely be back next year while in cocoa beach.

To all my UM people this is a canes sports bar if ever in coco area and need to watch game ,also great fish tacos

Fish tacos were good. Seemed a bit pricey for what you got. No ocean view if that's what your looking for.

This is a great place to drink, eat, and have a good time. The atmosphere is laid back, island style, with a great overall vibe. The prices are good and the staff has always been friendly and attentive. You won't be disappointed.

Great place for drinks or food, the gator tail and gator tacos are amazing. The tacos were a bit pricey but the amount of food you get made up for the cost , great place to go at least once while visiting.

Just went for beers and music so I can't speak for the food though the menu was diverse and it smelled good from the surrounding tables. Good selection of drinks and friendly wait staff took care of us. She came by often to make sure we didn't need anything but not pushy. Laid back atmosphere to decompress after a long day of meetings and brainstorm new solutions

I'll say that the atmosphere is fun and the service is helpful. Sadly, no ocean view. The food lacks a bit of flavor. It's good food but not memorable. Just 3.5-4 stars. I'll try a different place next time.

Delicious fish tacos and some great specialty drinks. Most of all I love the laid back feel of this place. It was just really fun.

I cannot wait to get back there. Thursday nights are the best. Service is ALWAYS 5 star. Karaoke is fantastic and fun. In fact I've never had a bad experience there. PERFECT!

Great atmosphere, good bartenders and stiff drinks... Try the #5 Hericanes and fish tacos .....what more can you ask for!

Sandbar Sports Grill- Cocoa Beach- 1-Star

I was pleased with the location of the next spot to show up on my random selection device as being in Cocoa Beach. Wary of the tourist traps, I have to admit that there is nary a more spectacular sight than a drive up the Space Coast in springtide. Pulling into the parking lot for Sandbar Sports Bar & Grill off of Ocean Beach Blvd, I found myself with a plethora of spots from which to choose. I avoided the empty space next to the US Foods truck, though it did cause me to wonder if the quality will be any different than other places with the same distributor. Hey, it can happen!
My server, Shannon, also doubled as my bartender and seriously, with a chintzy pour on my Macallan (is this even a full ounce?), she might want to stick to just serving the slop spewing forth from the kitchen back yonder. The menu was standard for a joint like this, albeit all over the globe with offerings styled after Mexican, Italian and good ole American grub. I asked Shannon for three tacos (Baja fish, shrimp and one carne asada) with a side of beans and rice. I then sat back, perusing the busy walls (this place is a tourist trap of epic proportions) while awaiting my sustenance.

Twern't too long afore Shannon was seen returning with said foodstuffs. First off, as one can see by the pictures it is pre-shredded cheese (no doubt thawed from frozen as well), noticing this, I was not expecting greatness, but still held out hope it was at least gullet compatible. Alas, not so much. The fish in the Baja fish taco had to be Mrs. Paul's if not the equivalent, the Shrimp is freezing cold, no doubt because it was frozen and half defrosted before ending up on my plate. Oops! Not to be left behind, the steak in the carne asada taco was also cold and if I had continued eating it would have no doubt frozen the inside of my mouth. The side of rice and beans, while no doubt of the same quality as the rest of this pabulum, was to my surprise cooked properly and quite flavorful. Kudos to the prep cook. This fact and the fact that, while numb to the mouth, the carne asada taco was put together correctly is the only reason this is not, I repeat not a Swill Alert.

I wish zero stars was an option. The staff here will literally start fights with customers by shoulder checking them very hard! The customer then turns around asking why he knocked him over and the bouncer gets in his face and tries to get the customer to throw a punch. Then the owner kicks the customer out! Really? Avoid this place. It's a great place to get the staff to start a fight with you for No reason. Save yourself the time and avoid this place.

Great place to meet your friends and have drinks. It's loud, a little rowdy. Excellent food and service.

Service is usially a bit slow but the fish tacos are amazing!

2 words: Taco Tuesday. Absolutely the best blackened fish tacos in the world (the jalapeno white sauce is like crack) and 1/2 price on Tuesdays. Stop cooking on Tuesdays and go here instead!

Cozy bar and grill right next to the beach. Loved the atmosphere and the food was tasty.

Second time here and it's been busy both times. Large enough there hasn't been a long wait even for a party of 6. Food has been above average and service quick. Will be back and I'd certainly recommend it to people visiting the area.
