My boyfriend and I took a trip to ohio from michigan to do the donut trail and we weren't disappointed! If you're looking for a scenic road trip and good donuts I highly recommend it! We got lost a few times, but it made the trip more fun. Well worth the trip

Loved the Butler County Donut Trail! We earned the t-shirt and the Geocoin. Staff was helpful, and recommended an excellent local restaurant for our lunch, too!

Spent some time doing the donut trail over the weekend (both the t-shirt, and the go trail). The geo trail was very well organized and maintained. The center staff were kind enough to go ahead and give us our t-shirt for the other trail despite the fact that we missed a stop (FYI Stan the Donut Man was already closed by 10am). We arrived at the visitors center with everything complete at about 12pm to find staff was out to lunch. So we killed 20 minutes finding other nearby geocaches, and returned with about 10 minutes left until they were set to return, but a lady went ahead and let us in anyway. The center contained lots of brochures and pamphlets so that even those not interested in doing the donut trail could surely find something fun to do. We'll look forward to doing this again sometime next year after they revamp the t-shirts and geocoins.

Did the Butler County Donut trail on our Ohio TuesDayTrips outing this week. This is so much fun, is inexpensive and very doable in one morning. Our start time in Dayton was 8:00 AM as most shops close by noon. We were done with all of them by 11:45. We proceeded to the Visitor's Bureau and received our T-Shirts from a really sweet lady. She also recommended Dingle House Irish Pub & Grub for lunch which was fantastic. Thanks for the recommendation!

The Donut Trail is SUPER FUN & awesome!! We ve done it twice and it took about 4hrs, start to finish, each time. Most of the shops had a greater supply of their speciality donuts on Saturday. My reason for the low score has to do with the actual visitor center. We took my husband on the Donut Trail for his birthday and the passport was his birthday card.... signed by all our kids plus the stamps from each shop. When I went to get his tshirt, I was told that we could not keep the original passport. I asked if a copy could be made. The answer was yes, but we would not be able to keep the original. They needed it for their records. I explained that a copy should be sufficient for the records, but was met with resistance. The part that irritated me the most was that the women making this difficult would not step out of their cubicles to talk to me. They told the girl at the desk what to say and she only knew how to robotically repeat the same 2-3 sentences over and over, unable to reason with why I felt it was reasonable for us to keep the original. What s the big deal? Why was it a problem? End of story.... I gave in and left their precious original passport for the records, and took the tshirt. This is merely a heads-up warning for anyone planning a similar adventure. Take lots of pictures because you won t get to keep the passport as a keepsake or souvenir.
