Graduated with a library credential and a master of library information science in 2011. Started off rough with two bad apples of professors. After two semesters, I found my pace and determination with only the best professors carefully selected. I am very grateful for the opportunity and experience there. I was able to change my career because of SJSU.
Just visited the University as I was in the neighborhood. Very beautiful campus, located conveniently in the heart of San Jose downtown area. Although a public University, I'm sure it must still be very expensive to study here as I figured. However, close proximity to Silicon valley means lots of jobs, which ensures student placement. Overall, should be a great school to go if you're looking to major in Computer Science or related disciplines! Go SJSU Spartans!
Library is the best. Too many homeless people though...
DO NOT GO TO SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY Graduate School for Education !!! They offer majors and and then do not offer the classes you need to complete your degree in a timely manner.
If you have a class that has 8 people on a waiting list and they are ready to graduate with everything they need but that class you should give them alternatives. ESPECIALLY if it is a class to prepare them for classes they have already completed successfully!
The university campus is open to everyone, means you can come here for a walk around the gardens of the university. It's well maintained and almost feels like a super mini version of Stanford due to the historical architecture, all the green and the palm trees. Good place to relax and get your step counter up. Also check out the library which is open to public.
This was a very nice campus to walk through. Some of the construction is a bit unsightly and some of the surrounding areas are a bit sketch, so exercise caution, but this campus is really worth taking a look at.
The campus when through a facelift and it's now very beautiful. The orientation was so much fun and thorough. The school offers a very strong support system from the beginning of the semester through finals. They even offer massage and snacks to help ease the stress spring final exam week. Most teachers/professors in the engineering school are really good. Just wish that they get paid fairly.
Very good place for engineers since it is located in Silicon Valley. However, the university location is not very safe since it is located in downtown. Very hard to find parking if you class in the morning even if you paid for parking permit for the whole semester. The library is good but I wish it was not open to public most of the first and second floors are occupied by weird and homeless people.
One of the best places to study for tech programs. Its a second home. Great location, Lots of Jobs/Internships. Awesome weather too.
