San Francisco/Peninsula Press Club Review

Friday night's DJ is outstanding. He really puts the finishing touch on the laid back chill atmosphere of the Press Club.

Classy place, great service, great selection of wines and food

Happy hour scene with a great DJ. Wish they offered cocktails, but it's still a nice vibe. Good layout, easy to get to the bar and find space/seats.

This is one the trendiest spots downtown to get a glass wine. Be prepared for it to be loud. Despite that, it's a great location and close to other restaurants where you can get dinner after your drink.

Fun place to visit. They have a nice selection of wines. They do serve appetizers, some beer and hard cider. It s a nice place to meet friends. They have comfortable couches and chairs and lots of bar space. The seri e is very good.

It's swanky and a very popular place to grab a drink, but the music volume is too high for the lounge atmosphere. Makes it tough to carry group conversations.

I wanted to like this place so much. Food mediocre, wine overpriced for what it is. Good place to bring a large group after work for one drink before going elsewhere. I won't be back.

I was here for a private event and the service was excellent. The wine selection was really good. I'd go back!

Popular place for drinks after work. Nice wine list and assortment of beers. Great place to relax and socialize. I would consider it upscale. Enjoyed my visit there very much.

Great selection of wine and extremely good service. I've only come here twice where it wasn't a company event and both are great experiences. Despite how busy it is, they are very attentive and always made sure you are taken care of.

Great wine selection with an uptempo surrounding. Had the meat/cheese plate with a great wine pairing.

We came here for SF beer week and they had 30 very rare and hard to find kegs of mostly sour beers. The waitress kept bringing us samples all night. In addition to our flight, we probably got to taste half of the sours there. Trying this many beers in one sitting was a unique experience. Come thirsty.

Sophisticated ambience and amazing selection on the wine side. Pizzas are yummy and reasonably priced, though watch out for your bag. Was with a large group last year in the back corner where we thought it was pretty secure from foot traffic and one of our party had his laptop bag stolen. That has not deterred me from coming back given the awesome ambience, just use the bag check.

The lamb burgers were great. Large selection of wines. The place is quite loud though.

Always closed for private events. Website doesn t show a status as to whether they re open to the public on any given day. Charcuterie isn t very good either. Coravin selection is weak, too

Pop house DJ pumping crazy loud house jams to a packed, make-shift dance floor of 15 people. Aesthetic, design, and menu clashed hard with the volume and music selection.
Bar staff friendly if you can hear them over the 90 s throwback club remix track.

They also lost a star for having a television installed and on. Tacky.

Press Club is a great wine bar in FiDi with a robust wine list, chic atmosphere and great small bites. This is a popular happy hour spot so arrive early and head downstairs and grab a table. The bar area can get crowded as well but overall it is pretty spacious inside. The wine list is fairly long and they usually have some pretty good happy hour deals on a red and a white. Small bites are excellent too. A bit pricey but a fun spot.

Great selection of Wine Bad craft beer, the late night small bites are delicious as well. First place I've seen impossible burger sliders (which are quite tasty). They also had a DJ spinning some music. Not super loud so it created a great ambiance.

Went for happy hour on a Saturday.

Half price bottles of wine that are over $70.

Went for a corporate function. I liked the layout, the catering and the sparkling wine.

What's not to love about this place (besides perhaps the especially loud music)? The entire place is clean, simple and spacious, with plenty of bar seating. The service is excellent throughout, from the hostess to the door man to the waiter and bar tenders. The drink selection is robust and interesting, although a bit pricey. And to top it all off, the food was surprisingly good - I'd recommend the short rib ravioli if you're in the mood.

The atmosphere is amazing. Go here if you want amazing wine and a classy scene. The music isn't so loud that it feels like a club, but loud enough that your conversations are private.

It looks deceptively quiet if you just walk by, but the party is happening downstairs in the dimly-lit, modern and expansive lounge. The prices are certainly high, but so is the level of service and selection. Great place to bring anyone you want to impress :)

Amazing place!!! I little too chic for my tastes but there is no doubt it is objectively one of the coolest bars in San Francisco. There's tons of space and a fun vibe. The patrons are a little stuffy but the staff was very accommodating. Also, tons of bar tops across the place making it easier to get a drink.

Such an amazing spot. We only got to visit SF for 1 day on a stop over. This bar was incredible. An amazing selection of wines and the cheese platter was fantastic! The staff were all so lovely. We will be back next time we are in town!

Upscale restaurant and bar. Suitable for many events

One of my favorites in sf for business networking events. This was HRtech.

Seats are a little hard to find and staff is not very attentive. But great wine and beer collection, and ambience. Lots of open space to stand. Clean and upscale look.

A place to be seen for sure. Beautifully decorated and a wonderful selection of wines. Food was descent but uninspired for the price.

Great wine bar with lots of seating. Came here for drinks with a few friends after work and the place was packed. Large wine selection and an awesome staff keeps us coming back. We've only tried a couple of the food options and everything was good. Would highly recommend for after-business get-togethers!

This is a really cool place for a drink and even some food. The decor is very plush and it has lots of different areas for seating so no matter what size group you are it can be pretty perfect, They have a great selection of local wines and craft beers and even do some interesting tasting flights which are pretty fun and are substantial glassfuls. The only negative thing I could say is that they often have a DJ play and the music can be too loud to actually have a decent conversation. Its not a club where people go to dance and seems to be much more focused on groups of people drinking and eating socially so that let it down for me. Apart from that its a really cool and funky upmarket bar for a fun drink and bite.

Excellent location right by Yerba Buena Gardens. It's a relatively big venue with a massive selection of drinks, especially wine. They also have a number of snacks which I didn't have the opportunity to try. Overall venue ambiance is really cool and it's a great place to catch up with friends!

This is an elegant place to have a glass or two and meet friends. I always suggest it and make a point to bring friends from out of town to show 'em another side of SF.

This has to be my favorite wine bar in the city. They have a great selection of wines in all prices. They even have a vast selection of beer. I've hosted events here and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They can accommodate anything for you.

I like this place. It's a little bit barren and kinda sterile but it's a good place if you have good company. It also works as a wine shop at late hour when you want to bring some good European wine but your typical wine shops are already closed for the night.

After 6:00 pm, make a reservation as the place fills up. Cool downstairs wine bar, fun friendly staff.

Cool place. The wines we're great. The vibe was comfortable. Very attractive crowd.

Though this is an underground lounge, it doesn't have basement prices. But outside of that, the place is really great. The amazing beer menu should satisfy even the loftiest beer snobs, the generous pours of wine flights keeps me happy, and the most memorable cheeseplate I've ever had. Yup, the cheese plate. Loved loved loved the cheese plate. The other food items on the menu are tasty but very San Francisco-portion sized. But seriously, the cheese plate. I wondered at first why it cost so much more than my fair-sized charcuterie plate. Then it arrived and I tasted the food pairings with each cheese... divine!

Oh, but the atmosphere is very chic and cool, full of financial district downtowners enjoying happy hour after work or couples on a date. There are several different bars that help distribute the weight of patrons around the space. The servers are very attentive and helpful with food or drink choices.

Did I mention the cheese plate?

This is a place you take someone you want to impress (or you are seriously loaded). It's not even close to being easy on the wallet, however, its worth the cost for the most part. Very nice selection of wines (reds and whites) while a decent selection of beer (if you are looking for craft beer, go somewhere else). Don't plan on instagramming your food- it's underground with poor cell reception.

Fun atmosphere downstairs... Very classy upstairs... Very Sassy downstairs. Bring your Business account or Expensify this $hizzy for sure!
