Love the fair. Great foods, great experience, saw the impractical jokers which is the best thing in life!
OMG!! Everybody needs to go have funnn!! I won a beta fish and named him oz!!!
Best fair I have ever been too. Beautiful views, great rides, and tons of food options.
A scary clown hellhole with intentionally bad overpriced food. Basically your average State Fair.
Del Mar is rhe best location for horse racing in southern California.
The Del Mar Fair is always worth the crowds and parking mess.
Reminds me of a flea market but the Turkey leg made it all worth it.
Always great family fun. Nonstop things to do for the whole family. Shows, rides, food, animals, shopping & much much more. Loved it as a kid and still love it as an adult.
Enjoyed the fair food. The new extreme dog show was good.
A great experience, definitely a must see if you've never been. The prices are a little exuberant tho.
I had fun didnt want to miss the food kettle corn, turkey legs sausage, funnels, churros, Chilli dogs, all this food to enjoy at home!!
Pretty awesome fare. Lots of food, drinks, and activities.
I love the fair. Was well organized on Wednesday when I went.
We go just about every year. It just doesn't seem like summer if we don't. We mainly go for the woodworking show, the juried art, quilts, and the garden area. We've gotten some great ideas for our house doing that. And in between all that there's the kitschy part of the fair. We just can't leave without a Link's chili cheese dog, a cream puff and kettle corn. We also time our visit depending on who is performing on the grand stand the day.
Love the fair. The concerts are well worth the price of admission.
It's always a joy coming to the fair every year. There's always so much to do and so much to see. The rides are a blast! The shows are very entertaining. The only downfall about this place is that it is way overpriced. And I'm talking whats inside the fair; not the admission. The admission is actually fair priced (no pun intended). However, they now allow you to take food inside. It gets very, very crowded. Sometimes it's hard to walk around, but the attractions are distracting enough to not let it bother you. There are just countless things to do there and it's a really great time!
Good experience if you want to get a feel of Americana!
Was at the Del Mar races what a great day. Great races, cold beer and good friends
One if not the biggest fair I have ever been. There are A LOTS of vendors that sell different items. More compared to other fairs. There are animals as well...alpacas included...tarantulas and of course, bunnies, sheeps and a 200 LBS ALLIGATOR which suppose to be the WORLD'S LARGEST
Excellent place, very well maintained and parking well organized, wanting to return.
Absolutely amazing! I LOVE this fair. Lots of stuff to enjoy for free here and very affordable otherwise!
Great place to visit with the kids. I suggest taking a ride on the ski lift awesome.
The cinnamon rolls are always amazing, just make sure you go by one of the ones by the other food stands, and not the one by the animals, that one isn't as good. The concerts are good, but make sure you get there a bit early to get a good seat.
Fun. Always had a good time. The animals are more interesting than the the rides but that is subjective. The Coaster needs to stop here!
One day I'm going to shoot out all of that darn red star
Delmar Garden Fair has become our annual vacation stop we spend a week in California and always take about a day to wander around the fair.
Lame, they make you pay $20 to get in and then everything inside is over priced.
Nice but tourist trap. Paid parking too. Rediculous!
Lots of rides and foods to choose from. Enjoyed walking around and looking at the exhibits. Choose to park at Torrey Pines High School and use the free shuttle. Parking at the fair grounds can be a long wait in the line of cars and cost.
My happy place. Shopping, people watching, eating carnival good, going on rides, playing carnival games, checking out word farm animals. It doesn't get much better.
It was fun as always my 3rd one.Try the corn on the cob make sure it is a lil brown and also the frog legs at Charlie's chicken ...umami the fifth sense from Japan means yummy taste!
Always a great time! Free parking at the horse park is now $5. So no more free parking.
Park off site and rake the shuttles...makes it so much easier!
A lot of food...
Well, here we go. I love how creative everything is. I love looking at different stuff. They have interesting food!:) Good for your entire family! :)
1. Horrible Traffic.
2. Parking Sucks.
The fair was good.
First time here ever. They had the Jurassic Quest event going which is what we went there for. The setup was legit and the booths were cool to look at. Even the jumpers and rides for kids was pretty awesome.
It's always fun to go for one day. Lot of good junk food and the kids have a blast. I go once a year and when a bunch of stuffed animals and give them to kids who don't have them as we leave. They also have some nice exhibits.
Always a wild ride! Be sure to bring cash to park though!
When with my family and had an amazing time. But when we were leaving the preferred parking. A parking attendant is just standing there not telling us where to go. So finally i try to exit and she starts yelling at me and my family in a rude way telling us that she's now going to make us wait longer. So i yell back to watch her attitude and she starts cussing at us. So i get off the car and ask her for her supervisor and she said go look for him. Min. Pass and finally someone pretending to be a supervisor (was actually a lead) comes and gets in my face and tells me to get in my car and leave. instead of calming his employee down who is trying to rush me and my sister in law to hit us. I tell him i want her name and he says he doesn't now it so i ask him to get it for me please and he says your not going to tell me what to do.... i recorded everything. Extremely graphic video. Hope they do something about this so it doesn't happen to anyone.
Antique Show. Very high end this year. Love the tram.
the food and all the entertainment part is great !! Every year they put on the fair I go! The rollercoaster guy my nephews love! super recommended
Parking is starting to get overpriced but the new Uber/Lyft area is a nice addition. If u drink ride share is easy
I love it here. I try to go every year. You won't regret it :)
Food was so good and you have many different choices and drinks too. All the rides are fun for kids and adults
It comes down to how much money you're to flush for a vaguely superficial thrill of winning games that used to be impossible.
I think the price for participation was exponentiated while the precision skill required to win at the games was fractioned- i'd be shocked if anyone that played any of them didn't win on the first try... after $60 worth of beer (4) at $5.25/ try at the carnival games. The days of spending $40 to win at the formerly difficult games have evolved to an obnoxiously loud (110+db) environment with stupidly simplified games that go the opposite direction for from excessive difficulty- undersized basket balls instead of over co2 inflated balls at 6' vs 16', sharp screws holding the balloons now, etc. If that works as an ego boost for anyone, by all means, take out a home loan and go to this fair.
The rides look so grimy that they could sell hazmat coveralls for $100/pair next year and sell out of them, if anyone has a boring enough life that the rides provide any additional scare than the typical trip down san diego streets.
Deep fried creme brulee is brilliant, and all the deep fried stuff i tried was good enough that i would go to any restaurant that did it year round.
Busy everyone brings stupid kids who can't walk yet.
Amazing. spend at least a day here and see a free concert during June
With the fair not happening it cool to have the opportunity to get fair food experience.
