I like this airport. It is not unnecessarily spread out like many others. Rental cars are right between the terminals, which is actually one building so we don t need to ride some clunky people mover or out of service train . Good selection of food n drinks. See pic. Baggage also was close by. USO is also right there for our military folks. Bathroom had (worthless) hot air and towels.

Constant construction. Please make the cell phone waiting on the right hand side b4 pick up, tiny sign to Airport off of 410 they need to make it bigger and more of them for tourists on directions Inside is nice. More vending machines would be nice since everything is closed at certain hr. If you have a 24 hr airport everything should be open!

Overall, it's great. Clean; reasonably efficient; they don't grab my junk as aggressively as some places. Smaller, simple airport - never a huge hassle to get through. We could probably use some better food, and maybe some additional in-terminal services.

We bought a souvenir wooden toy rubber band gun from Buckhorn Museum for our son the same day as our trip along with other items. Since it was the same day we were just carrying them on the plane. TSA confiscated the toy saying it was equivalent to a slingshot. Really? What can you do with a rubber band? Our son was crying his eyes out. That is going too far if you ask me.

Nice airport. Quick lines and great people behind the counters. Security people were the least friendly I have run into in a while and I was there at 7am, so they were fairly fresh on their shift

It s pretty empty right now and if you check the TSA and the airport website, you ll get pretty accurate info. The place is clean and has average wait time FOR THIS TIME, 6-9AM, of the day. I was pleased with the process and the ability to get in and out of checkpoint was good. Security and Staff were all really nice and helpful.

I just called to ask something and asked if the men in line spoke Spanish and he was so rude... saying "nobody here speak spanish" but with a sarcasm tone in his voice. So rude. They shuold be prepared and be able to speak with tourists.

Pretty clean and welcoming. Decent amount of choices to eat. The voice over the speaker system makes you, especially former and active military personnel, feel welcome. There are individuals in cowboy hats if you have any questions about anything.

Just wanted to update folks on the car rental situation at SAT. The airport has started construction on a consolidated car rental facility that will be just outside the terminals. It should open in 2018. In the meantime, they have improved signage for car rental returns.

This airport is lacking for the 7th largest city in the US. Signage is horrible to return rental cars. The interior departure spaces are small and lacking. Even though it moved fairly fast and we had TSA Pre-Check there is only one TSA entry point into the terminal. I hope they have plans to expand and update the airport as the city continues to grow.

Southwest. My mother and I flew out of San Antoni...

Southwest. My mother and I flew out of San Antonio last Thursday night at 6:10 pm on flight 852 to Nashville BNA. I had checked in the day prior at the exact time and received boarding passes for B3 and B4. We arrived at the gate one hr before boarding and found a packed gate. Approximately 45 min before boarding began the gate agent began badgering passengers to upgrade to A group for the additional fee of 40$. I am fine with offering the upgrade but the manner in which she did so was insulting to everyone at the gate. She would come on the intercom every 4-5 minutes telling how many seats were left for A group. She continued by stating, "if you do not up grade you will most likely be separated from those you are traveling with, you will be the last one's to board the plane and the last one's to get off when it lands, if you are traveling with children you will likely not be able to sit with them, you will have the worst nights sleep because the back of the plane is the most uncomfortable". She went on to state exactly how many window and isle seats were on the plane (50 something) and said without an upgrade you won't be in one of them. These are just a few of her fear tactics she used to sell out her A boarding group. Everyone around us was just as amazed as we were by her desperation. The lady next to us whispered she would give her 40$ to shut up. I was so embarrassed for SouthWest by the desperate pleas for upgrades. Once boarding began my mother and I took two seats together approx 3 rows from the back...with a B3 & a B4 pass. Unbelievable. Apparently they now block off their A boarding group unless you pay the additional boarding fee. Big boo for Southwest! There must be a bonus for the gate agent to sell these seats because this lady gave it all she had. Filed complaint with Southwest. Apology was given and was told they will use the feedback for training purposes. This is not a training issue. This is saying "I don't appreciate your business but give me some more money for a better seat"

San Antonio International Airport is an International Airport which slowly but surely expanding to match the concept "Everything is bigger and better in Texas". Having been through this airport several times before in the past, most of the domestic flight terminals look the same and the smallness sort of remind me of Honolulu International Airport. This time around, I noticed much more construction going on to include runway expansion, larger car parking structure and upgraded technology.

San Antonio International Airport has easy to understand signage, is well-lighted and clean. There is undoubtedly a friendly Texan charm and great customer service to this airport which I don't mind stopping in to. #localguides

Clean airport. Not many stores but it is not a big airport like Houston's or Dallas. Very easy to pick up your rental car and drop it off. Took about 15 minutes to get the car and 5 minutes to drop it off. The gates are easy to find too.

I would like to start by saying that I absolutely LOVE southwest airline. At my departure city (HOU-HOBBY), there was a huge mix up cause me to almost miss my flight. All of the staff there handled the situation accordingly.

When I arrived to San Antonio International Airport to gate A14. The lady at the desk was not in the best mood. I waited until she got through her line before I walked up to ask my question. Prior to me getting to the empty line, she was on the radio and phone, so I waited near the pillar. Once she got off the phone, she never acknowledged me standing there. She was on the computer so I just assumed that she was handling the same situation that she was discussing over the phone. After at least 5 minute's of standing there, an older gentleman walked right up to the counter and she helped him. The passenger's that was waiting for their flights began to verbalize that her actions were rude. I explained to the employee that I had been standing in line waiting and her respond was "I don't have a line, you should have just walked up" rather than cause a scene, I just walked away and submitted my complaint. The employee was later identified as a woman named Fabiola. She has black shoulder length hair.

Easy arrivals and departures. Security screening fairly fast. Ok, limited food selections but expensive. Transit access by bus. Consolidated rental car garage connected to terminals is convenient. Good connections to I-35 and rest of regional highway network. Rest rooms include family restroom but regular restrooms are a bit small.

I love this airport. It's not too big, but it's up to date and they keep improving it. San Antonio is a great city to visit and live in and you get that vibe from visiting this airport. I WILL WARN: STAY AWAY FROM ALLEGIANT AIRLINES. NIGHTMARE JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN. For this reason, the airport sadly gets 3 stars.

The TSA lady that were at B6 was rude not helpful. Very unprofessional to not handle to assist any travelers questions about our flight. There never inform about our flight was delayed to cancelled, but had our flight to 311 now keep in mind we 334. But when you routed into another terminal b2 that lady very nice professional, very helpful . Took her time feed and make sure we received what she was able to assist. This airport is very horrible but If this the only airport flying out of San Antonio, smh. They need to either make it better or build another.

The renovations last year to Terminal A brought the entire facility up to the modern age. There is a decent variety of food choices, and even an outlet of one of my favorite San Antonio restaurants: La Gloria. There is a lot of construction at the airport due to the construction of a new parking ramp and consolidated rental car facility, so this makes parking a bit challenging. Because the airport is focusing on improvements, it's hard to fault them right now on that score. I only wish the airport had additional non-stop flights to locations such as Boston and Toronto.

SA really needs to up their airport. Although the new renovations are luxurious and promising, there really were no new amenities or services or systems-improvements made during the renovation. IMPORTANT to know there is one main gate for most flights. I believe United international and one other airline have their own gate but other than that its one entry. TSA has always been a pleasure at this airport though. Luggage carts are $5 to rent. There are very few airport lounges.
