Unfortunately I can not judge it well. We stood in line for half an hour. Before us were few people. Payment by credit card had failed. Finally arrived at the counter came the information that all tours were booked for the morning. The on-site booking offered on the internet would not have worked because the corresponding ticket machine was defective. The information and maps on site do not help at all. We drove off again without any result.

It is worth doing the tour with the little train for 10 euros. The guide is very knowledgeable and helpful, too bad he only speaks French. The topical flora and fauna of the salt pan can be admired and above all you can understand the process of extraction of the salt, which is thousands of years old. Well organized and available

Void and dangerous:

Void and dangerous:
In this time of covid we were crammed like animals, one on top of the other. nobody to give gel, nobody to enforce the wearing of the mask and always nobody to disinfect the trains between each group. When the train ride 1h1 / 4 of trouble, we turn around 3 marshes (certainly very pretty). a guide who doesn't have much to say. And to fill the time 6 breaks '' photo with the same point of view, the ramparts of aigue dead (certainly also very pretty) which makes the photo expensive. and finally a salt shop more expensive than hyper. in short, a jerk that I was part of.

We have done the tour with the train here. Traditional touristic tour through the domain, information you get in French via pre-recorded text. We stop twice to step on a mountain of salt, so that you have a nice view of the site and the second time to visit the museum / shop. We would have preferred to take the walking tour or a 4x4 tour, but that offer was no longer available in September. The information on the site was also not clear.

Unmissable visit when you come to Aigues Mortes. It is really very instructive the visit of the saltworks and the explanations concerning the salt collection. When you are a certain age, a touch of nostalgia when you see the different boxes of the blue whale over the years. The color of the salt flats and the flamingos sublime the visit. TO VISIT

Very nice outing. Very informative. Comment from the perfect driver. He knows his subject.
WHY SHIELD THE TRAINS and OBLIGATE families to mix with others ... Since there was only one seat left here and there? WHERE IS SOCIAL DISTANCIATION?

It is SHAME to put so many people on the train !! Wearing a mask is compulsory but with zero distance we are stuck and clustered next to each other. For information, the orange vests of the staff of the walking tours indicate a distance of 1.5 m ... What a beautiful contrast!

our poor restaurateurs, cinema or shopkeepers punished with masks and social distancing. I don't think the Whale struggles so much !!

We took the train of dead treble, masks, plexiglass separation and no mixing between the families. Yet 1.6 km separated the 2 trains but they do not have the same practices.
I didn't make a purchase at the store just for that. And hence my rating. 4 stars for the guide.

Very nice and interesting experience that I recommend to do if you are near the Camargue. The only flaw lies in the organization ... Waiting times for the tour are quite long and the price is slightly higher than the service offered: the seats on the tourist train, besides being uncomfortable, are counted, not by chance we risked not being able to get on because of the overcrowding on board without us repaying the ticket.

Magnificent ! A must! But 10 remains excessive !!!
10mins top time for photo to go
10mins top time for riding on the salt dune
10mins top time for the museum (story of pushing for consumption)
5 minutes top photo for the return!
If some things fall off the train 0 seconds to stop .... !!!
Driver too dry!
But a splendid nature !! We take full eyes! Young and old!

Visit by train, shaken difficult to take photos, the explanations on what we visit are summary, mediocre audio tape, the guide explains almost nothing except the time to see the museum store, and, suggestion: do only one shop selling products at the end of the visit. Price too expensive for the service. Rather disappointed.

Attention, tourist trap !!! None, but really no interest in paying to walk in the mud or cram into a dismal little train! No but it really is a scam !! The visit lasts 20 minutes on foot for 8.50 and there is no interest. I'm repeating myself, but it's important !!! You absolutely have to stop wasting your money in this kind of activity. In the Camargue, there are thousands of places that you can visit for free. Yes, because it is the heritage of all of us !!! And that life is free !!!

Not bad, but maybe is better the tour with bike if you enjoy taking pictures. Train is a bit the same after 30 min despite the tour takes to a salt mountain and the guide explains the salt production.

To flee. Crowded in the little train like animals, glued to the people on the left and on the right, with a person in front of us at 40cm.
Unpleasant comments from the driver when pointing out the lack of respect for basic distancing rules. He states that the rule of public transport obliges to wear a mask (am I going to work at 8 am or doing a family attraction ???), while in public transport, one in two places is blocked to respect the distance.
However, signs indicate that the distance meter must be respected and a poster where the number of people per bench is displayed is hidden by a label, surely to hide that the limit per bench must be 2, unlike 4 people. that there is currently.
In short, visit managed by the company La Baleine to make maximum profit, not managed by passion for the profession.
Don't waste your time on it.

A visit worth a visit we have to opt for the traditional train that takes us through the site with a stop on a camel and the salt museum. The space on board the train is more than optimized it is better to favor the benches of 3 people than those to 6 people (2x 3 people suddenly we quickly become intimate with the neighbor opposite if this is not the case before)

Visit to be anticipated (2 p.m. few people), sanitary measures not to be respected!

Splendid site with a superb view of Aigues Mortes, enriching eco museum but too little time to visit it! preferred a video to keep people waiting at the reception and leave only one photo exhibition in the ecomuseum!

Very good visit of the salt marshes by small train. The driver's exhibits are great, with my little family we learned how salt was made.
Also do not hesitate to reserve your places in advance and you can take it on the internet.
Only downside the train was crowded during the hanging period is not normal.
