An interesting mini-train tour which takes you around the salt field of nice scenery and you have the chace to climb the salt mountain as well. The driver served as guide which was conducted in French which I could not understand. The trip was a bit dusty.

We chose the walk and we were not disappointed. Our group, made up of about ten people, benefited from the explanations of a guide (whose name I ate on the morning of July 27th), who had a good understanding of his subject and was very pleasant. Plan good shoes, 2:30 of walking are done at a pace suitable for non-athletes. Very interesting.

At a world-class site, discover the salt mountains and salinas of "The Whale", which exports salt and salt flower to the world every day. Salt / pink water (pink / purple) saturated with salt, pink sedentary modifications and some in migration or the shop of souvenirs and local products, while passing by the small train to visit the natural site for a reasonable price you will have a great time in nature. Nearby is the millennial ramparts of the old town of Aigues Mortes. Exceptional

Nice but a little hectic and noisy this little train, the children could not hear the comments. So many people waiting before being able to access it but we appreciated the view, the comments and the guide.

How can we in 2020 not be able to reserve a place on the internet, so take a half hour drive (great for ecology!) And find ourselves facing amorphous staff who tell us that the next departure is at 2 p.m. when we are arrived at 9:30 am. If I worked this way, I think my box would close very quickly ... I am hallucinated by this customer service !!!

The visit of the salt flats is very interesting. The driver of the friendly little train. And the story he tells is very instructive.

Only downside, the piled up in the wagon of the little train. 6 in a very small space, impossible to put his legs correctly.

I recommend this tour.

An amazing visit, where we discovered the history of the Camargue, its fauna, its flora, and of course the salt flats. Really very interesting and told with great enthusiasm and heart by the guide! To do with family or friends with the little train ;-)

Super site !! We took the little train for the visit, where we learn a lot of things about the history, making our salt. 2 stops during this visit "salt mountain & museum". A huge site where we can appreciate the fauna and flora that is present all around you. Our guide gives good explanations, and do not hesitate to slow down the convoy to show us what she is talking about.

Communication of the website a review ... Since it is noted that you do not take a reservation, we came without worrying about having no place. When children and adults look forward to this activity and we hear that all departures are complete, we are still very disappointed. At 1:30 of our resort, it was not possible to return another day. So we finally understood that a ticket bought on the internet was therefore a reservation. Neither logical nor explicit your system ...

A little surprise at the negative comments. If you book online, no bad surprises.
The little train was great and its driver-guide at the top !!! Listening to questions and very kind.
Covid level: 4 people per bench and compulsory mask. Complete visit with salt museum, climbing a salt mountain and stopover near a salt marsh.
Very satisfied with this little walk :)

We opted for the traditional little train, which takes us through the site!
The space on board the train is more than optimized, moreover the conductor has requested the tickets
Because too many tickets sold compared to the number of seats (overload)
The other negative point is the rather high price for what it is! Over 10
Otherwise it's very nice and the comments quite comprehensive
It would be advisable to review the organization arrives at 9.40 am for the departure at 10 am. we left at 11:10 am

The little covid train ...

The little covid train ...
Having booked in advance on cell phone we had to queue up to the reception to see their poster next to the counter which said if you already have your tickets on cell phone present them to the driver ... So since it was to me I told him it would be good to put this poster a little higher in the queue and pretend not to understand anything in short.
arriving in front of the driver, he stuffs his train regardless of the families or groups, a family of 4 is found 3 and 1 in different wargons from unknown people.
Beautiful landscape, here everything teaches us nothing

Unique landscape, tour of the Salar very interesting. It can be done by hired train or privately by car or bicycle. The train guide very dedicated, although the price of the Tour seemed high for what they offer

Can be good for the visit but to charge their goods zero! Do not respect the appointments and leave the drivers without eating for 2 hours without telling us anything and not even a sandwich in the distributors, for a company of this size and also known, I find it shameful !!! Remember that if there were no drivers, their goods would stay on the spot! Big effort of logistics and wellbeing for the drivers to do and quickly, a word of mouth ...

Beautiful guided tour by train in the saltworks. Wearing a mask is compulsory on the whole site, the driver and guide have the people installed as they go by grouping the people together. Great success even in September, we arrived at 11am, there was already only room left for the 12pm visit. We took advantage of the store while waiting. Clear and interesting explanations, 2 stops: 1 for the ascent of a mountain of salt from the top of which you can admire the whole site, and 1 for the visit of the museum. To do at least once.

A beautiful, well-appointed site to discover. Little train ride (possibility on foot or by bike with your own bike or they rent it on site). Live commentary from the driver who knows his subject very well. The end of the visit ends with a shop where the prices are affordable and the products original.

A word of advice: You have to book the day before to be sure of having places, especially in the summer.
A family formula 2 adults and 2 children possible.

Small caveats:
- the lack of time in the eco-museum .... less than 10 min in a place where there are many interesting things to read and discover is not much. We didn't have time to read everything it's very frustrating!
- the little space in the train ... Two benches facing each other, the knees do not fit!

Very disappointed ... places reserved on the internet and no places together, while in this period of covid the gathering of families should be a priority. Plus incomprehensible guide, spoke too close to the microphone.
Only the marshes visible, much too industrial. Instead, prefer small salt marshes with human activity. I do not recommend!

2 stars for the guide, who was great and very friendly, but that's it.
It is expensive for what it is, and above all, the employees are rude to the tourists (who make them live). The cashier (17 August) was literally shouting at people, constantly shouting, accusing Italian tourists of not speaking French ("no, but they are stupid those they do not understand anything") no hello or thank you. In short, slaps are lost sometimes!

The places are sublime but the prices charged are too high: 20 for free access by bike.
We were a group of 6, and 5 bikes burst). We had to call the emergency number several times before someone answered us; to learn that they would not take any action to help us (I remind you, 20 entry). On arrival we needed tools to fix our bikes, they also didn't want to help us on the pretext that they didn't have any (they rent bikes for customers so they should have tools...). In addition, the line to buy tickets is endless; service too slow. Cannot buy tickets online or at an automatic terminal.

Interesting and fun to see.
However do not necessarily let yourself be tempted by the shop or the products are identical to the supermarkets ... except the prices!

Visit of about an hour, illustrated only in French. I recommend doing it in the afternoon (the colors are probably better) and in any case not in the hottest hours.
Excellent for children, who can have fun on the train, and climbing mountains of salt.

The landscape is wonderful.
In this period of covid-19, 4 people per seat on the train to visit the salt flats is too much. We are really very tight.
The incomprehensible guide during his explanations.

Very beautiful and interesting. Ride on a train, in the middle of marshes and piles of salt. In the shop 1 kg of sea salt 1.5 .... Chatting with the French, they were offended when I pointed out that it was Julius Caesar who discovered and valued them, so we would have had the right to royalties !!!!! !

Interesting experience where our salt comes from and what nuances there are. Unfortunately, the tour is only in French. So you have to listen carefully ;-). You drive through the saltworks in a city train and get to see a lot. Entry is really steep but you don't have to do that every day.
