We take a little train ride to get information on the Whale Salins. Superb visit, we climbed a hill of coarse salt during the visit. The stop at the museum is useless (included in the visit) because the time is too short (we are left 10min but the time to see the short film on salt is already over). Very affordable souvenir shop (salt, fleur de sel, bauble, pen, etc.)

A typical visit with the bumps and all the paths of the saltworks. We discover the culture of salt and its history, the comments are summary the time left for the shots is short on the course. Be careful, it shakes especially on the back of the train, a family moment that remains a bit expensive ....

No social distancing. I find it unacceptable that we parquet like cattle in a single train. 50 people per train is too much.
They prefer to suppress the 2 pm visit because not enough people and to put everyone in the same train.
Response of the management at the time of this reimbursement we do as in the bus or the sncf, we have no regulations except wearing the compulsory mask. A shame for a tourist activity

Great tour by little train, there was a wind of madness but that did not mar the visit. It was very interesting .. and the magnificent landscapes punctuated by wild pink flamingos! The end-of-course shop sells products made on site and the "farigoulette" fleur de sel is a treat! You can admire these pink waters up close!

Very disappointed an exorbitant price for a simple swamp visit and from a large group like the whale very disappointing. Each item is very expensive. It is better to go to guerande where the small producers take the time to explain their work to you for free.

Interesting visit aboard a small train, with explanation in French. The tour lasts about seventy minutes with a stop in a small museum and to climb to the top of a salt hill. Particular landscapes and beautiful views.

Nice visit, we learn a lot. Jerome the guide is passionate about his job as well as the abundant environment of the flora and fauna that surrounds the saline. Commentary perfectly understandable and audible in the little train. So yes, distancing is not respected at all but the guide makes sure that everyone keeps their mask on their nose. Book absolutely before on the internet for simplicity.

The little train is really good! We learn things all along. We can climb on a hill of salt. The landscapes are beautiful. Not to mention the driver, Max, we came across one who was making jokes. I do not know if they are all like that but it was great. it's good for adults and children alike! There are 2 stops during the visit, the first at the museum and the 2nd on a camel of salt, called by the driver, Mont Saint Missel. A true moment of pleasure. Seen by Emma (12 years old)

In the framework of an exit Committee of Enterprise for a group of 31 people (adults / children), very good reception, very interesting course, good service.
A nice complement after visiting the Seaquarium, I recommend!

The walk is very informative, our guide was really nice, and the settings in July are splendid. Apparently it was the right time to visit the salt flats! Do not be afraid to go for a walk, it is not at all difficult. Prefer the end of the day (5 p.m.) it is cooler!

Interesting visit to the salins of the south, in a little train wait for the stops to photograph. We are rather shaken but had fun. Beautiful view of the ramparts and the salt flats. Shop for souvenirs on leaving.

Location very poorly served by public transport. We had to walk 20min from Aigues-Mortes on a dangerous departmental road. It is mentioned that the tickets must be imperatively printed out there is no verification at the entrance THUS the trains are super crowded (in period of COVID, INADMISSIBLE !!) and the driver tells us I quote to "find a seat it is not for me to place you . The visit lasted 1 hour while it is mentioned on the site that it lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, the so-called guide hardly spoke about the visit. No salesperson wears a mask. This is a great pity because the visit could have been interesting. Really very disappointed!

Have a good experience aboard the little train of the saltworks of dead acute. Really very interesting! However, the 1:15 hours announced were held with two 20-minute breaks, so a short visit in the end. A bit expensive!

Magnificent place to visit absolutely colors that will amaze your eyes. A visit by little train with a guide who will explain everything you need to know about salt, from its appearance as white gold to the present day. Passing through salt dunes. Breathtaking landscapes. With the reflection of the water and the lights of the salt crystals.

Only the shop for me.
And it's pretty classic. Different boxes of fleur de sel with just the changing color. Normal rates. There was no 5kg bag of coarse coarse salt.
Good for making a regional gift.

Very nice landscape but I absolutely do not recommend the little train! We were a family of 4 split up in different wagons because according to the driver these are individual seats so too bad for you and then no risk of contagion, you wear the mask . But, the rule is not mask + 1m? In short, I spent an hour with my legs intertwined with a stranger, very bad experience. The sound system is not great and the comments hardly audible.
In short, go there by bike or on foot!

Visit a few days ago
It is unacceptable to be crowded with 4 per seat and a real lack of hygiene measures to disinfect trains after each passage. Despite the recommendations and reminders of the guides, people don't care what. (((We must sell fewer seats per train))) in order to respect the rules of distancing normally mandatory even with masks. Hand washing before getting on the train ??????? ..... at the start and at each stop ......
Thanks to Jerome who really explained everything in detail as well on the fauna as the flora and the salt marshes.
Every year for 2 years I go there and frankly this year at the top the guide.
Thank you Jerome

Minimalist visit!
The little train is nice, the climb to the salt mountain is the highlight of the visit but in the end there is not much to see. I think the driver / guide is a big part of it. For those who want to take pictures with the pink water visit to make in July August to take full view. The museum is small but you will find some interesting information.

The pink water is beautiful, but the information is very poor. Going by train costs 10 for an adult, which is hard to find on the internet. Furthermore, it is not possible to walk, so you are completely dependent on the train (which does not leave around noon (12 noon)).

Very nice visit, may not be precise enough on the method of obtaining fine salt (evaporation ...).
It is a ride in a little train with an animator, seen on the fields, the impressive salt mountains, the machines and the factory.
It is also possible to cycle around the estate.

Interesting tour by small train (1h30) of Aigues Mortes saline. We discover the size of salt and we clearly see the different stages of obtaining salt. The pools of pink water are close at hand. Very few animals in June unfortunately. Halfway, a stop at the salt museum where you learn salt culture. Purchases are possible but also at the entrance to the shop. I recommend the fleur de sel which is excellent. (also flavored version)

Very nice trip through the salt extraction area of Aigues-Mortes. Only in August an extra train runs at 7:00 PM. The ride lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and gives an idea of how salt is extracted. When you drive onto the site you will see pink water basins and enormous salt mountains, in the water you can also see flamingos. The view is beautiful with extensive water plains. The train stops 3 times so you can take pictures and you can also feel the water and salt, and finally you can climb a salt mountain. I was sorry that the audio presentation was only available in French. Unfortunately, the souvenir shop was already closed upon return.

Nice walk in the salt and very informative!
A little long for children under 5 despite stops at the museum and the camelle de sel. Avoid hot moments for younger, more is crowded.

A place that is not lacking in salt!
A magnificent place, the pink color of the Salins, natural is splendid.
Protected "salt quarry", rich in a rich and varied ecosystem.
A must visit to see the ramparts of the city of Aigues-Mortes!
