Sales person Richard was quite amazing. But after that it goes down hill. You get jerked and jerked around. How they go from such a high difference on trades to then all of a sudden having the funds to give you what you've been asking. Hold on to your title and keys. They will make the process longer than it needs to be. You would think coming in with ready to go trade in and title in hand would make them give your their best and final like I did but nope. Good luck with these 80s greasy used car salesmen tactics.

DO NOT GO HERE! They are a total rip off when it comes to service. The service manager, Logan, and front desk person were very rude and would not work with us. Logan was verbally abusive and threatening even in his manager's presence. Their customer service is non-existent! They are not up front with their prices for service and kept adding costs that we did not agree to.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE!!!

I called to get a price on an atv and felt like I was being hustled by the general manager. I asked to speak with the owner and was hung up on repeatedly.

It s obvious by the other poor ratings that ownership needs to get involved to try and correct some serious flaws.

Spent money in this place over the years and $700 last year, they changed a tire I brought in six months ago and charged $54, a good deal. I brought another one in last week and they wanted $120 or $12 a minute! They were convenient just 2 blocks from me but they can now shove it. I drove just a few miles down the road to a smaller, friendly shop and he changed it for me on the spot, it ten minutes for a flat $50. Never again Salinas M.C. I had to give at least one star to post, way too much.

Went in and was actually interested in purchasing a dirt bike, no one even intoduced them selves or ask if we needed help the 10 to 15 minutes we were there. They do have a good size selection of new and some used bikes. No prices on an of the bikes.

As a yamaha dealer, one would think they would keep filters on the shelf.. no they do not, told me they would be here in one day..so I paid the higher cost to have them, they did not tell me they were charging me shipping cost at 5.00 each, I found that on the card statement and 7.00 more then amazon,,thats 24.00..and still had to wait longer for them then if I got them at Amazon,,
Then the manager argues with me about how much I've spent there and shakes his head no...batteries,oils,,collision damage of 8 grand...my business just went elsewhere!!!!

rule of business, if you get a bad review, automatically explain or try to fix it but I don't see that happening at this place. I'm surprised they are still in business. Go somewhere else folks.

Worst place to make a purchase. I recommend you go anywhere else. Customer service is abismal and you're more likely to get a better deal anywhere else. If you're looking for parts do a bit of searching online unless you wanna get charged triple what the part is actually worth.

They asked for my personal info to see if I qualify for a loan to purchase a bike I was interested in buying.
I decided not to get the bike... 3-4 weeks later I m getting multiple credit cards and statements in the mail from Yamaha, Polaris, and US Bank!! These are ALL open lines of credit that I didn t ask/want/or give permission to use my personal info to apply for credit!!

I m currently in the process of talking to a lawyer to determine if I can seek damages for this place using my personal info to apply for multiple credit cards without my
Knowledge!!!!!!

They also do not know anything about motorcycles! That is the main reason I decided not to purchase from them!

Tried to call to get some information about a TNT135, and got a 15 minute solicitation conversation which ended in me too uncomfortable to provide my physical home address, FOR A QUOTE. The sales person, John, mentioned that they would solicit my phone number from time to time to see what I might be interested in purchasing from them. NO THANK YOU! All I wanted was a price, for a bike, that was for sale.
They are difficult to do business with, would not recommend for first time buyers, you will get ran around hard and guaranteed sales calls!

Horrible customer service! I emailed them and talked them on the phone about ordering a RZR. They told me that I could come in and order one. I drove 2 hours and when I got there, they made me stand outside and call to make an appointment. The guy on the phone asked if I would buy something today if he let me in. I told him that I didn't even know what they had in stock. He said that I would have to make an appointment and come back. There wasn't even a car in their parking lot. I told him no thanks, I'll purchase elsewhere.

Never again! After purchasing pit bike paid in full brought it home found it to be missing bolts on plastics and front brake! like how do you miss that before selling it to a cash paying customer and wanna set up an appointment and wanna charge me to replace bolts on it that they failed to notice before selling it....
My buddy told me Monterey peninsula powersports in seaside is the way to go they make you feel valued there plus they explain everything to you before you leave with a bike and not rush you to sign paperwork just to get the deal like this place.

This place is a joke. I walked in to look around bc I just got my M1 and need a bike. I asked the price of a bike and he said he couldn t give me the price without information and started to ask personal info. Like to try to run my credit. I didnt want my credit ran bc I didn t need financing. I said hey I just want the sticker price. He said we tell me the price and they roll up here with $20. What a joke. I even read reviews before going in and was like no way they can be that bad. I was wrong!

They need personal and private information for a simple quote I get from Cycle Gear in 1 minute? Their call back policy for parts cost them my service. I ordered online, installed and was back to riding happily before they bothered to call me back to tell me they didn't have the parts. These people are atrociously bad at customer service. I would never consider them for making a motorcycle purchase. From the 4 motorcycles I've bought and 100K miles I've ridden since 2013 I will never use them for service.

I saw a bike on Cycle Trader but the pictures were heavily backlit and low resolution. It was a 2002 Triumph. I collect British bikes and have always wanted an ST. So I called and asked for a video/FaceTime walk around because the pictures were so difficult to see.

I spoke with Benjamin who is the owner. He sounded lucid on the phone, and declined to do a walk around despite my offering to explain to any employee with an iPhone how easily it can be done.

Going in person was going to be a 120 mile proposition and I have two young children at home and a demanding job.

Benjamin gave me his word that it was in excellent condition and that I would be happy. I asked him repeatedly if there was any road rash or marks on the bike. His answer was no.

So I drove.

I parked out back -- and met the owner's son Hunter on the way in. Great kid. Enthusiastic. Welcoming.

But I was disappointed to walk up to the bike from 15 yards away -- only to see road rash not on one side, but on both mirror backs. What appears to be paint work on the front fairing (it s a yellow bike, with red at a joint). Rash on both saddle bags. Chips on the tank. The seat upholstery coming out at the back. Not to mention the bike is filthy.

I told Benjamin the bike was not in the condition he promised me over the phone. He was dismissive and mono-syllabic.

I would avoid this place. I told them I wanted to see a cold start of the bike, they tried to shoo me away and take it back into service so they could start it and warm it up and then bring it out to me.

Just a disappointing experience all around. There are so many good bike shops in NorCal. This unfortunately isn t one of them. I d recommend going somewhere else.

Bought a rear tire for my 97 Sportster on the web and needed a place to mount and balance it. A friend of mine had previously done the same thing and recommended this shop to get it done. I could not be happier with the service I received and the treatment I got.

I dropped the tire off the day before, then came back the next day on the bike to have the work done. The service manager was polite, efficient and very reasonable. They held on to my helmet and gloves while the work was done, so I could leave the premises and do some errands.

They did the work within the time frame they promised and even gave me the labor discount as if I had purchased the tire there.

Not as big as I thought it was. A lot of nice bikes tho. Was never greeted at all, which is fine, just means less of a chance that a salesman is gonna hound me. (I cant stand that). My biggest pet peeve when ever I go into a shop, NO PRICES. I figure if theres no price than it their way of sayin "unless you know what youre lookin at, we're gonna screw you over. PUT A PRICE ON YOUR DAMN BIKES!!

they sold us a new ssr a week after the raskle broke because the mechanic they have over field it with oil so we towed it over to them so they can fix it and they did. Not to mention they made us pay for the tow truck $150.00. A week after the bike brakes again and no one wants to help us they are so unprofessional my husband wanted to go buy a quad with them he is not any more I will not buy anything from them again or refer any one not to mention they are super pushie to sale!!@

Had to ask to be helped after walking around for 10 min. Was ready to buy a jet ski, filled out an app and got APPROVED. They only had blue in stock but I wanted red, they said they can order it but couldn't give me no numbers without the ski there ready to take home. I didn't mind closing the deal and waiting. Didn't want to even tell me the rate I got approved. Payment. Nothing. I passed on the ski. They're unprofessional and for lack of a better word, weird. I'm heading to San Jose to purchase the same ski with the same approval they got me at another store. Don't waste your time there.

Wouldn't quote me a price on total cost OTD. I was willing to buy next day but said i had to drive to salinas for quote in person (despite covid). Clearly if you can't even get a price it will just get more complicated from there. Based on the horrible reviews I'd rather save my time and frustrations and buy in LA despite the drive if I can't find another local dealership to purchase from. Cant even imagine if you have any warranty or maintenance issues what that process might look like to resolve! NEXT!

Asking about an out the door price on a motorcycle is apparently "not something they provide over the phone". They'll also hang up on you because they're too busy to answer questions, that's how much they don't need your dollar. Go somewhere who will actually provide service, cuz it's not in Salinas.

No matter how far away from their store you live, they are not willing to talk with you about their bikes unless you come to them. All fees are hidden. Just read the other reviews here. Good luck....this company blew my mind. Glad I checked their reviews before I wasted any more of my time.

I live over 2 hours from their dealer, so I called first to get an estimate out the door with taxes and fees and Bill just laughed at me and said they're too busy to provide that so I would need to come in. I repeated the question again, and he hung up on me. I called the receptionist back and she wouldn't transfer my call back to Bill and so I asked her and she just told me to "have a nice day" and hung up. I don't understand how they are still in business. If he would've given me a reasonable estimate I would've driven down today and picked it up, but if they can't even give me an estimate over the phone, I'll go somewhere else.

After reading what others have posted, I was somewhat reluctant about stopping by to look at their ATV's and UTV's. I was primarily interested in the Kymco line of quads. After researching online what dealers in California carry the Kymco line, Salinas Motorcycle Center had the most Kymco inventory in stock. So I took the chance last Friday and drove over while spending a couple of days in Monterey.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised. They have a large inventory of bikes on their showroom floor. I wasn't in there very long when I was approached by a salesman by the name of Martin. He was very knowledgeable on the Kymco quad that I came in to look at. Martin was very helpful, not pushy at all or trying to make a sale. He answered all my questions. After a while, he left and let me look and compare models on my own without him breathing down my neck. Another employee (Hunter) came over and asked if I had any questions. He went on to say he was a mechanic there and told me about Kymco engine and component quality. Hunter shared with me that he was one of the mechanics.

On my way out, I was approached by another sales person who was moving bikes around. He asked me what I was interested in and began talking with me about other brands of bikes they carry.

So, about 40 minutes and 3 employees later, I did not experience any of the negative issues others have reported. In light of the excellent customer service I received from 3 different employees, I only felt it was fair that I share my experience and leave a positive review.

Horrible service, as always. I purchased a MC in 1991 when they were on Abbott Street and was ripped off. They sold me the MC knowing I did not have a Class M driver's license and justified it by saying that the law allowed for me to ride it from the retailer to my home. I never returned in all these years, except, I recently was in a bind and ordered parts through them, with a promise of 24-hour turn-around. A week later, I'm still waiting. I called other dealers and found that Salinas MC Center's prices are double that of other dealers...along with their despicable customer service.

I wanted to get approved for a motorcycle, instead they opened an account under my credit info?? The "manager" is just a kid who thinks he has authority and knows everything till he needs to ask his "supervisor" what he should do with the situation I encountered. I bought a tire from them not knowing there was a restocking fee because I got a better deal at Monterey Peninsula Power Sports. Telling me they tried calling me (they didn't) that they gave me a cheaper tire but I paid a 60$ more for a tire they didn't have in stock. Not even giving me a full refund that I wanted since they messed up on the transaction they accused me of switching out the tire I purchased at their store for a different one. Aggravated I wanted to speak with someone in charge but all I got was kids telling me they were conducting the refund while walking to the back and asking the white man in the back what to do.

I want to say thank you to Dave And sales he help me and my 12 year old son we brought a JetSki in for trade they traded it in the same day for a brand new dirtbike Everybody that works there is very kind and very understanding and works hard for you to help you out all got to do is talk to them and they know what you need there very very knowledgeable and they have excellent service department I also noticed that stock writing your gloves helmets and all the accessories and parts to service your bike or Jetske or whatever your sport equipment is they have it thank you Selena motorcycle center sincerely Charles V Owens

Worst service ever. The person in charge would not take my Polaris for service because, wait for it...it didn t run. If it ran, why would I take it in for service? I had an appointment and drove 1 hour to this horrible place and they turned me away. HOLLISTER MOTORSPORTS came to the rescue. Dropped off the vehicle and they had a plan to fix it by the end of the day. Save yourself the heartache and go straight to Hollister Motorsports.

During the half of time I was able to ride it, it had multiple issues. I have been stranded more times that you want to know. The absolute worst motorcycle center you can come to, would not recommend this place, go the extra mile and go to the motorcycle center in seaside where the Manager actually talks to you. Manager is possibly the worst person you can do business with, doesn t show his face and stays in his little office when something goes wrong like today he didn t even want to come talk to me when I ve asked politely to talk to the manager. Well to the point i was getting to, so I ve came here to return a part I have recently purchased which was a carburetor repair kit for a kfx 400 and sold me the wrong part so now I can t return it because it s a hard part which wasn t on the receipt or categorized as one of the parts that weren t returnable, which got me mad. I would highly recommend anyone to avoid this motorcycle center. Gone 4 or 5 times and the center is still full of BS.

Tried to "over sale" the used bike then screwed up the title and registration. Bought the bike in March 2014, now in October and they have not done the title transfer or registration that we paid for upon purchase and are trying to say it is our responsibility to to all that! We dont even have any papers on the bike! Just the bill of sale and the temp. DMV VIN registration from the dealer. Now they do not return our calls. Once I pay up and fix all this, I am going to ask to be reimbursed or they can see me in court!!

Very shady business practices at this place. I bought a motorcycle here. I was told that they would do a full service on the motorcycle, make it safe, and that they would do the service for free (waiving the $299 they apparently over-charge as we had negotiated). They did nothing. And when I called they said "we didn't do it because you didn't pay for it". They offered no remedy, and were wholly unapologetic for LYING.

Their prices are way over industry standard. They lie. Go somewhere else.
