The employees here steal from their guests. Last summer I left a pair of very nice sunglasses in the changing room and we went back TWICE for them but employees lied to our faces about having found them. Low class staff for a supposedly high end store.
Very nice store we were looking for one of the bond#9 fragrance and they had all kinds of #9 but they were out of the one we were looking for.
Tim at Lancome and Kim at Dior are absolutely lovely!
Great selection and some of the most helpful staff you'll find in a department store.
Mens Department is limited and small. Fragrance Department is nice.

I love Saks, but mostly do my shopping online. Customer service is good, but the only thing is...people watch you too much in the stores and make customers feel so uncomfortable...honestly everybody aren t thieves..so please show some respect and stop staring hard..it really make people hurry up and leave. Also, in the men section..I don t know why they took out Burberry. I love Fendi, but a lot of customers will probably stop shopping in there now, since Fendi is very expensive. Burberry, should of never left. Women clothes, don t even carry much no more. I wish they d get everything back to the normal way, it use to be.
I usually don't partake in writing reviews but unfortunately I have to show my frustration with my experience at this particular SAKS store. Recently I visited this SAKS store to purchase items from their Versace selection being that Versace is limited at stores near my home. I was very unpleased with how the men's department clerk followed me from rack to rack after i repeatedly informed him that I wasn't in need of help with making my selection. After getting frustrated with him breathing down my back and watching over me as i shopped i departed from SAKS and went elsewhere. This has never happened at any other SAKS I've shopped and i will not inform any of my colleagues or business partners to shop here for their clothing needs. I don't want to consider this racial profiling but it definitely fits the script. Horrible experience.
To actually visit the store for the first time was amazing, but I was there to redo the floors not to shop.
You will have to stone me to death before i ever set foot in Saks again I went into the sunglasses store and you can tell if you didnt look like money or a regular customer they didnt speak, help or greet you..i ask about a pair of glasses and the male clerk replied ( we dont sell them anymore) and thats it and just walked away..he didn't even try to do a site search or referral..just rude, never going back and i know im just one customer..so it wont hurt their business..
Debbie was a great saleswoman at the perfume section .....other than all the that kept watching as if..

I went to Saks in Birmingham to find a jewelry gift for my wife a few months ago and had a excellent experience with Kim Muffoletto. She was very friendly and helpful through the entire process. I didn't feel like I was being pressured and felt really comfortable. She seemed very knowledge about the pieces and didn't make me feel stupid when I would asked questions. The selection at the store is not vast by any means but she was able to find me the piece of jewelry that she thought my wife would like best and it worked because my wife loved the jewelry she got. She really took the time to work one-on-one with me, which I could tell other sales people were not doing as they were trying to help multiple customers out at one time. I feel if I am going to pay for the quality Saks provides I want to feel like I am getting a quality experience and not having to share that experience with other customers. On top of the in-store experience I was stunned to receive a few days later a personal thank you card from her for shopping with her. I highly suggest if you are going to be shopping at Saks in Birmingham you ask for Kim in the jewelry department!
The poorest of customer service ever!! I m never purchasing anything from Saks off fifth online ever again! The process of them shipping your item and charging you twice for the item but not being able to refund you your money for their mistake is unacceptable!!! Saks off fifth has a horrible system of tracking items and I was told that it would take 10-14 business days which was a lie! Not to mention I had to pay to return the item which by the way was a used pair of shoes not even in the original box! Horrible service!
Every time I come to this location, the employees are extremely rude. If I am not completely dressed up with a Gucci bag they pay no attention. I placed a $400 order about three weeks ago and simply called to inquire about where my package would be and when it would be delivered, the sales associate in the sunglass department said these things don t just come in one or 2 days And ended the call while I was explaining that I had placed the order three weeks ago. It July 9 and I placed the call around 1:30 PM. This is just an example of how rude and stuck up the employees can be.

The store has very nice clothes for women and also jewelry. Other items to. Rather expensive but a good store.
I have always enjoyed buying many things here, until I Bought Bond 9 Cologne and asked to Swap, was told that I could, so I made a special trip to bring it back and the lady at the Bond 9 counter wouldn't swap it like she previously said she would. I've bought 2-3 of the Large $245 bottles each time and then I was treated that way, so I won't be back. I will be ordering it from another company.
SAKS always does a great job of everything. They take hiring very seriously. The staff is knowledgeable and everyone really cares about the customer. Whether I'm dressed for work or wearing sweats they treat me like I'm the most important person in the world. The merchandise is simply the best. The alterations department is wonderful. The sales are awesome. And of course there are the SAKS Points. Bravo SAKS Fifth Avenue. Thanks for coming to Birmingham.

If I could give less than a star I would. Walked into the Louis Vuitton area with the intention of purchasing a purse for Christmas for my wife. I was completely ignored and when I asked for help, I was made to feel as if they were doing me a favor.
I am a very fortunate individual of means that i have worked very hard for. I can fortunately purchase anything I want in life (again through very hard work and dedication; nothing has been handed to me) and I value service over anything. I left without saying much but was a little aghast at my treatment.
I shopped online for a David Yurman ring that I wanted. I was excited to learn that Saks carries this line of jewelry. I went into the store in Birmingham, and upon arrival Wanda was helping another customer, so I looked around and waited for her to become available to help me. I am accustomed to being acknowledged when a salesperson can not get to me at the time. However, Wanda did not do so. I continued to shop to giver her the benefit of the doubt. After the customers left, Wanda left the area without so much as speaking to me, asking if I needed help, or letting me know she was leaving. I am quite disappointed in the level of disrespect I was shown. These designers should be more selective at the people chosen to represent their brand.
Love shopping at Saks! Wish Birmingham store still carried Burberry and Tory Burch. Shop online mostly but it s nice to have a store in driving distance too.
Uncomfortable experience shopping here, and doesn t seem to,be stocked. At least you can return items that you bought online.

Nice store I suppose but doesn't really cater to southern styles that most people around here enjoy. Maybe Birmingham is just behind in style but I like the way we dress.

Love this store ! They always make me feel so welcome! They have a good range of shoe sizes for women with big feet ( I wear an 11 or 12) and only on a rare occasion have they not had the shoes I wanted in my size unlike other department stores were they do not even carry those sizes.
She gotta be worth it! If not dont go. You can spend a grand at the front door. Lol

Living in Dubai, and not to Bragg, the quality of customer service in high-ends and luxury stores are unlivable! Which bring me to my bad experience at Saks here. I start shopping here after we moved here and on one of my visits to the store, I was dressed in casual that day with a L.V wallet and no bag, and I was checking out some of the products when a saleswoman, older lady, start approaching me and asked me if she can help. I kindly told her am just checking the proudest for ingredients and what have you , however I didn't realize it at first but she kind start shadowing me and following me around as I moved in the store! I relay felt uncomfortable and I left. I do haw an accent with olive complications with brown hair, I told my husband what had happens, he is American with all the qualities of Caucasian man , he explain to me the sad and disappointing reality of some closed minded people has here. I been in Al for few years now and I only can count on one hand the number of biased incident I had, have wonderful neighbors and friends. Anyway, I have stopped shopping there and do my shopping online (much better and larger collection), or when we are traveling to another city. It is kind of let down to their customers that Saks doesn't train their sale associate about diversity and that time had changed. There are more customer s diversity that your old white lady they are used too! I thought about filling a complain, but the truth is I hate confrontations, may be some day!

Customer service sucks at Saks Fifth Ave. I ordered some clothes during their labor day weekend, they canceled some of my items but they still have them on their website in my size, only the price has gone up. I've tried contacting the customer service and it tells me no one can take my call!!! no wonder they keep closing their stores! I wouldn't even want to give them one star. I'm closing my Saks credit card.

They always are calm as well as knowledge able about their cosmetic products. Having MS can cause issues in my skin starting a reaction I have never had to a makeup I have used for years. Bought a foundation within a week realized I could not use it. They refund in full for the product and are helping me find something else. That is service.
Saks did a excellent job of getting my money. I look amazing!
Alinda helped me this morning via phone. She works at the LV boutique in this Saks location. I called because corporate LV said they had a bracelet I was dying to have. They couldn't find it at first but her perseverance came through. I am so excited to receive my bracelet and new bag. Ask for Alinda because she will go above and beyond for you.

Went to Louis Vuitton and got the feeling we were bothering the sales staff. After purchase asked about imprinting initials into new wallet and was told that it was broke.... been broke for about 3 months. Come on LV! This store will not see my hard earned money again.

Spending time with my wife and decided to stop by the Louis Vuitton store since she had mentioned she was interested in purchasing one. BIG MISTAKE. What should HAVE BEEN A GREAT experience turned out to be a constant reminder that we have a long way to go. First off we were watched but Not approached next my wife tried to speak with the staff and was treated as i f she w wear an interruption to their day when they did not have in stock either of the bags that she had asked for she begin to point to other bags that she may be interested in not one person move to assist her at this point I was completely over it and before I lost my cool decided that we should leave I was well position to purchase a bag for my wife but I will not spend one dime in that store ever
Decent variety, they have a lot more designer choices online than in store. However, Nikisha upstairs in the dress department did help me find the perfect cocktail dress for an event.
Prepare to be judged by employees who make minimum wage. Given I was in there to spend almost a thousand on a gift, the attitude and disdain shown by the employees from the moment I walked in cost them. I ordered it online for less and did not have to deal with their passing judgement on my jeans, Hillfinger shirt, and jacket ensemble. Their are nicer people at better stores that need your support and are happy to treat you like you are human.
Poor customer service and poor selection. Was never greeted or talked to by anyone. And the selection is horrid. I ve been to Saks Off Fifth with more designer labels. If you want the selection and customer service of a Nordstrom Rack, you ve found the perfect place!
