Can anyone comment if Sai Woo is still operating? I've emailed them and have called them (happy holidays voicemail) a few times, and haven't been able to get in touch with anyone there. From my experience, Sai Woo is wonderful. I love the ambience so much that I am trying to plan a private event (post COVID restrictions) there.

It s definitely a hip bumping place where people could mingle - the ambiance was my favourite part of this experience. The food for Dineout was okay, but I came in with the expectation that it d be a bit more Chinese, rather than a mix of different Asians (food wise). When I arrived it was quite clear that the place was catered to western people (which isn t bad) as I was one of the few Chinese there.

Food was decent, nothing to rave about. I will mention that they did have really good pork belly fried rice though. I don t think the taste matched the price, but you also pay for the aesthetics as well. Wouldn t recommend going out of your way to check it out, but if you re in the area looking for an Asian fusion restaurant with a great to meet someone or a first date vibe, this may be it.

Had high expectations for this place because it was highly recommended by people in my circle.

It was definitely good. Food is quality. Nice cocktails.

Atmosphere is lovely, nice place to be.

Our service was inconsistent though. We got our order in quick. And out cocktails and food came in timely manner. All good there.

But then as the traffic inside picked up we were mostly forgotten about. We were left sitting with empty cocktail glasses close to 30mins.

We wanted to stay for another but no one came by to take our order for a long time. So we lost interest in staying pretty quick.

Server finally made their way back and tried pushing another drink down our throats. A bit irritating because had he come back to visit us about 15 min sooner we would have said yes. But because we were waiting it felt pretty weak.

Sorry man. Next time.

Totally understand its busy, and it was very busy. But just stop by and say "haven't forgotten about you, will be around shortly." - that's my respectful feedback.

Will return. Hopefully we can get a second round.

Pretty good, the place was only offering take out so we tried a bunch of dishes. Online, we were able to take advantage of their promotion making it an alright value. At that, their food was pretty good. We liked their seafood paella, packed with flavour. Overall, not a bad experience by any means.

**ATTENTION COVID BRIDES AND GROOMS**

**ATTENTION COVID BRIDES AND GROOMS**

I hope this review reaches out to those whose wedding days were affected by COVID and are struggling with finding a venue that is gorgeous, with good food, follows all the health and safety regulations, all while keeping a budget. Sai Woo, is 100% that place.

My husband and I had to postpone our destination wedding that was scheduled for October 2020 on the east coast. Making that decision was so incredibly hard and a lot of tears were shed. For fear of a second wave, we decided to get married as soon as we were in phase 3 with events allowed with up to 50 people.

Now came a whole other set of barriers - we didn t want to spend a whole lot as this was extra spendings on top of our already paid for destination wedding. I called every restaurant, golf course, hotel, and hall - there was always something that didn t fit our needs. Until we found Sai Woo.

From the get-go, me and my husband felt like they really understood our predicament and the vision we wanted for our day. They worked with us and our planner to have our dream wedding come to life regardless of all the restrictions. They allowed us freedom to decorate the lounge downstairs, allowed us to choose our menu, all while considering our budget. The lounge allowed for 50 with proper social distancing, so with our guests list of 42, there was plenty of room for everyone to be safe.

Our day was absolutely perfect. Becky and Salli worked so hard to coordinate with the staff, who were amazing, masked, and professional. None of our guests had been to Sai Woo before, and the ambiance we created was something out of a movie - like a secret speak easy. Everyone was in awe of how intimate, beautiful, and magical the venue was.

I cannot stress this enough - Sai Woo helped us create our dream wedding. Covid or not, we couldn t have imagined a more perfect day. Me and my husband owe a lot of it to Sai Woo and their amazing staff. Please brides and grooms, if you re looking for a place for your reception - save yourself the hassle of looking elsewhere because it doesn t get any better than Sai Woo.

Had a great meal here with my family. Very cool atmosphere with the painted mural brick walls and the modern lighting effects. Our waitress was a sweetheart and she recommended exactly the right amount of food for us to order. Food was five stars. Definitely would return here for the food, service and ambiance.

Really delicious spot for a variety of asian fusion dishes. It is great for small plates and sharing. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, dumplings, cauliflower, garlic chicken, tan tan noodles, and the shaking beef. The highlights were definitely the salt and pepper chicken and garlic chicken. The garlic chicken was very generously portioned, with huge pieces of crunchy fried chicken thighs covered in a delicious sticky garlic sauce. We were super full by the end of our meal.
