Excellent customer service by Soheil. He went above and beyond to make our order and on top of it added to it. The Call Centre did not follow thru with my order instead transferred me to the restaurant. Very happy with his friendly nature and understanding in my disappointment with the Call Centre. He totally knows how to treat customers:)
I ordered on location and in the few minutes had my take-out ready to go. Kind personnel. Just wish the food tasted the same when eating at the restaurant. I believe that putting in plastic containers affects the taste. It is not their fault as the lockdown limits us all of the ultimate dining experiences.
We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was really busy. We waited 10 minutes for a table, which was fine and not a problem. We ordered our appetizers that took 25 minutes to come out. We had complimentary tomato soup which was pretty good with the All You Can Eat garlic bread. The calamari was okay as well, but expensive for the small portions. The main course came out another 20 minutes later, I got spaghetti and meatballs. This tomato sauce tasted really weird, it did not taste like authentic tomato sauce.
Service took way too long, but it was definitely busy. The food was okay, but not worth what we spent. Cleanliness was okay as well, the spoons and forks are not too clean, so you might have to clean them with your napkins. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I would not come back again.
Visited here on their first day open after Covid restrictions were relaxed slightly. Was able to have a Saturday lunch out on the patio (2 parents, 2 kids). Staff was very friendly and professional, especially our server. They were very apologetic for some menu items / beverages being unavailable (no beer on tap!) but this is totally understandable after being closed for so long. Food was delicious and the manager/owner came over to thank us for coming, which was a very nice touch.
Great experience. Unlimited soup and salad was a surprise. The buy one take-one pasta promo was a nice touch. Decent portions. Moist chicken. Calamari was what took 1 star off this review as it was soggy, and that's how the dish is designed being sizzling.
Food was decent service is good. I've been sorry for these restaurants we'll have to open and close because of the pandemic we all need to support these restaurant when they come back but the restaurant have to support the customers quality service quality food
East Side Marios cutting major corners! Starting with seating and this is pre-Covid. I had back surgery and they refused to accommodate my request to be seated in a booth since it's comfier for my back. They wanted to reserve it for larger parties when the restaurant was empty!....ok fine restaurant policy.
Moving onto the food, quality degraded tremendously. My favourite Hell's Kitchen Chicken which is a generous portion of cut up chicken and veggies stir fried in delicious sauce was "re-invented" as two bland, dry, measly, tiny pieces of uncut chicken with raw, inedible small portion of veggies on the side for $23. Good luck getting garlic bread refills! East side used to be my favorite...well not anymore!
This is one of the best East Side Mario s locations in Toronto!! The manager and all of the servers are always super friendly and caring. It doesn t matter how busy they are; they always provide the best service. Their garlic bread and Italian wedding soup is delicious!!
Given the circumstances with COVID I was surprisingly pleased with how well the restaurant was managed for policies.
Our server was wonderful and made sure we were comfortable with the outdoor heaters and was prompt with bread and salad.
The food was great and showed up within 20 minutes. I asked for chili flakes on my roasted garlic fettuccine Alfredo and it was amazing. Warmed me up from the inside.
Highly recommend making a reservation and having an almost normal social experience with great food.
The best Italian place so far for me. The welcome breads and salad are so tasty. The rose pasta was delicious as well. I fell in love with this place and I am waiting for it to open for dine in.
