I have eaten at many locations that have SAGE providing their food. They are all AMAZING!! I personally think there is no better company out there! Anyone who contracts with them will not be disappointed!

To be brutally honest, this food is flat out horrific. I go to Belen Jesuit where Sage Dining was hired to serve the student body food and the mere fact is that if I pay 20,000 a year, I should not see feathers in my wings. If you want to save kids from food poisoning do NOT hire sage dining. To be honest Sir Richard, as they call him, is a stuck up flat out rude individual to the lunch ladies who are nothing but nice. It s outrageous how such a prestigious school hires such under qualified company to serve their student body. I would love for people to learn from Belen s mistake and not hire SAGE DINING.
Could you serve something other than chicken? I eat it everyday and it tastes terrible. Putting a new sauce doesn't make it a new meal. The pizza is just pita bread with cheese and it tastes disgusting.

Okay first off I just wanna say that I understand the meal plan we all need to eat healthy I love eating healthy! But I think it should be freshly cooked I have found a silver fish in my plate I took it back and they did not replace it they simply took it out and expected me to eat it needless to say I didn't.
Sage serves chicken everyday, and that would be fine if the chicken wasn't dry as fricc. Every time I take a bite of the chicken the moisture is sucked out of my mouth. That must some sort of scientific discovery because I've never experienced something of that could create a mini Sahara desert in your mouth. Not to mention that they have a fetish for putting bacon and ranch together. They've served chicken bacon ranch pasta, wraps, and even hoagies.

I know exactly one kid at my school who eats their Disgusting SAGE MADE HOMESTYLE STOVE COOKED ORGANIC BACON, it is absolutely disgusting. There bacon tastes like a vegan found a piece of moldy cardboard and put it on the stove.

So our school started using Sage, in an attempt to upgrade the quality of the food from cafeteria to high quality, but it was pretty much almost a complete downgrade. The food is always supposed to be really fancy, but the cooks either make it too salty or too bland, bland the majority of the time. They serve chicken every day, never well seasoned. The other day, we had potato slices that were 7 inches long, looked like they had a lot of pepper on them, but tasted like grass. It was somehow strangely crunchy and soggy at the same time. This feels exactly like what my fellow reviewer said. they said sage is like "The Hot Meals section at a ghetto 7-Eleven" or something along those lines. Anyway, most of the people at my school would definitely like to switch back to cafeteria food.
Lots of scratch cooking and no can to pan. We will bring the heat.

Ok there is something that needs clearing up, I am looking at all of these 5 star reviews for dining hall service at my school and I think they are all lies to try and bring up the rating for sage. Since the beginning of school I haven't eaten a thing because one day I got a raw steamed burger and I threw up almost four times after eating it. Then after complaining about the food to our teachers they brush it away because they all get salads or bring their own food every single day. This is the worst part, the head "Chef" tells us that we are lucky to have food this good, and that it is better than any other food in the area. Our parents don't pay 1,100 dollars each year for us to not eat anything. If you made it this far thank you for reading. #SpreadAwarenessForHungeryChildren
I have been with SAGE Dining Services for 6 years. What attracted me to enter this was their approach to creating a sense of Community with each Client and serving fresh, healthy food cooked in batches from scratch. Also there is a great focus on allergens in the review of each recipe and the Students and staff know what is in each dish. The SAGE Company is first class, from the owners Tina and Paco on down through the whole organization. We continue to grow, educate and keep up to date with the latest trends. There is nothing that we can't accomplish with our SAGE Team. I worked for SAGE for 5 months I quit, because I didnt like the way the boss of the kitchen treated my teammates and I. I have had other "big bosses" and to be honest they have never been so disrespectful and mistreated us. I know work is not to make friendships but also make coworkers feel valued by their effort for their job! its very unfair how the boss was friendly to other people but to kitchen workers was always rude we made everything possible for the boss to have a good reputation and was never happy. Also its very sad when we were having lunch we knew who was putting the dishes away always throwing them and making alot of noise. make sure you are aware on what you apply for!!!

The food is terrible. It is not seasoned correctly and not cooked all the way. It tastes like dog food
It s worse than Mcdonlads at least Mcdonlads isn t dry and greasy at the same time it s just greasy. Either school has the stone pack that just gives us a dry slab of meat and a greasy bun and some of the pictures given have the platinum pack or it s just a big lie but it s so bad.
The service is awful and the food is disgusting. I've gotten food with hair and plastic in it. I do not recommended for a school.

As a vegetarian it is hard to find good food but that is not the case with Sage dining. I was surprised and happy at the choices I have and the quality of the food! Fresh, hot, and great service makes this a wonderful dining experience.

If I could give it zero stars I would. They advertise freshness and quality when in fact everything is frozen and disgustingly undercooked. There have been days when they serve food with mold on it. Due to their contract no other food may be brought in or ordered and where there was once an open campus policy, we are now forced to either take time to bring our own lunch or suffer. They serve the same thing 5 days in a row with different names. There is never a consistent meal. I can order the exact same thing week after week (salad) and have it different every single time. Most of their food is inedible as it tastes like they cooked the food in the dead sea. Horrible service, ridiculous prices, and inedible food sums up the "sage dining experience".
My teacher threw up after he ate a hot dog. My religious friends(vegetarians) say they have no options. The milk is sour, and the orange juice is bitter or has no flavor. On chinese food days they serve Bang Bang chicken?
SAGE is so bad. They have it at our school and I want to commit uninstall. Moopcows.exe will probable commit uninstall because the food is so bad. Really bad for vegetarians. The only good food they have is not food. Or drink...
SAGE is a company with a vision. Their mission is to bring healthful, REAL food to the schools they serve. Some of the reviews seen here might suggest that their meals are "yucky", but it's hard to please everyone, especially if they have only been exposed to the pseudo-food so prevalent in the Western world today. Using the platform of independent schools, SAGE is priming the pump to bring an awareness of sustainably-sourced, exquisitely prepared food to an audience who will grasp this vision, and spread it to the wider world. They are to be applauded.
This food is so awful that kids just eat the dessert or a grilled cheese. On the bright side many kids have lost weight because they do not eat lunch.

Sage spends more time making crazy names than actually making good food. Also, all of the lunch seem like they hate every student and their job. They angrily stare at you whenever you try to get your lunch as if you have done something wrong by eating

Ive been with SAGE going on 6yrs started as a Lead/Sou Chef and got promoted within to ASFD. Team is the motto that Ive learned through the yrs, SAGE has been a great company to work for. The owners are great people and care about all there Employees and needs.

I have worked for SAGE for 4 years and I love it! We make healthy food, from scratch daily. We source local as much as possible and organic when we can. Some schools have even curated their own gardens for the kitchen to use! We involve the kids as much as possible and offer monthly Educational Seasonings so the kids can explore new foods. Its a wonderful company with a truly fantastic approach to food and food service.
In my experience with SAGE throughout several years the food has always been fresh, flavorful and incredibly appealing to the eye. They catered my Wedding reception and my family and I were blown away about how they go above and beyond. They really do go the extra mile.
SAGE is amazing! I love working for them. We do all scratch cooking, and fun catering events. SAGE is a family owned business and I have found they really listen to their team and they are constantly upgrading technology and improving processes. They truly care about the services we are providing and the communities we work in. I feel like I am a part of something really good. The Wardlaw + Hartridge School is fortunate enough to have Sage Dining as our food service. My experience with this exceptional food purveyor has been nothing less then outstanding. From daily lunches, planned events, and to short notice requests, Chef Anibal and his talented staff always come through with delicious and aesthetically appealing dishes.

Sage s food service is second to none as far as quality and customer service. Their small batch, from scratch approach provides unbelievable meals for kids. I remember when my favorite day in my school cafeteria was chicken patty day, and now i am serving diverse meals like chicken tikka masala, enchiladas, shrimp and grits...the list goes on and on. This company really does rise above the rest!!

Sage dining has made me sick on multiple occasions. And I don't know about you but I prefer to not be throwing up after a hard day of school.
On one occasion sage dining served a MEDIUM RARE chicken sandwich.
Once on Monday there was pasta smothered in what appeared to be butter. Of course it had some name that is more elaborate than anything Gordon Ramsay could ever make up. Once you got it and sat down you noticed that it was the "homemade" nacho cheese garbage that they served on Friday. I mean come on I don't pay thousands of dollars a year for dog food. And don't get me started about their famous sausage surprise casserole.
I think someone needs to call the FDA to ensure our safety.
I ate SAGE's hotdogs and now I have food aids. Also, I threw up my SAGE lunch today and my throw up looks more appetizing than the original food.
Sage is bad. They can't even season chicken right. They burn the bread of grilled cheese, but the cheese isn't even melted. I would put a 0 star rating but it won't let me. The food is never cooked fully, and they give you like a spoon full of everything. The only thing they give us is chicken and it is always disgusting. It is always dry, tasteless, or has some weird sauce. But other than that the yogurt is good.
Somehow they manage to screw up the most basic things like pasta, I love getting 20 noodles stuck together. The pork is rubber and the chicken. They literally make square pizzas.
