Awesome food great entertainment. The chief was great and engaging with guests definitely a must if you have not gone before.

Mandatory/forced 20% gratuity even with terrible table service (yet this is mentioned nowhere on the menu, receipt etc.) They seated many tables before mine so a simple 30 minute wait turned into 1hr 15min.. It was too expensive for what it is: some greasy noodles and veggies. Truly the worst of the expensive restaurants in Flint and I guaranteed will never be returning.

Bigger serving size than when I visited 3 weeks ago! I've had a few bad previous experiences with hair being in my food! But so far so good

I ate there once and the food was not worth the $$$!! And I want to warn everyone that there are protesters right this minute in front of Saganos that claim they have RATS....the size of Baseball Bats!!!!! So go there and get sick if you dare!!!!

This rating is not based on the food. The food is quite good here. This rating comes from the unprofessional attitude and disrespect that I saw displayed by staff and management. The day I went to Sagano's, we arrived at 2 p.m. The door says that lunch is until 2:30 p.m. A number of people arrived at the same time due to the clearly displayed hours. One staff member said that only those who arrived before 2:15 would be seated. Therefore my party and a few other groups remained. Then another staff member came and said that in actuality it was 2 p.m., which cleared out another group and left a few more parties. All who had to leave expressed their frustration on their way out on how unprofessional the restaurant was in stating something that was not displayed on their door. When it still appeared that the crowd was too much for them to handle, the owner was summoned by one of the staff members. She came and said that it was really 1:45 p.m that they stopped seating individuals. At this point it was around 2:35 and those who had been waiting for over 30 minutes became quite frustrated. The female owner, openly began to yell at the customers and tell them to "Get it! I cannot serve you!" She began to complain that she did not have enough cooks to serve everyone waiting and became irate. Her mannerisms and tone was so preposterous that everyone thought it was a joke at first. Everyone just had a look of shock on their faces as she spun around and screamed at everyone. It was around 25 people waiting there at this point. She then walked away abruptly, turned around and charged at everyone again telling them to leave the restaurant. It was horrifying! Some stormed out saying that they would never return, some confronted her as she spoke harshly to them in front of their children and families. It was an extremely, horrible and embarrassing ordeal. I could not believe what I was seeing. My three children looked at me in shock and said, "Mom, people are not supposed to speak to their customers like that!" My kids have never been to a restaurant where a staff member "flipped out" and began to treat customers so poorly. We have always seen Sagano's as a restaurant that was considered more upscale for the Flint area -- one person can easily spend $30 on their meal, let alone a family of 4. At one point she yelled at a young lady and asked her why she was still there and the lady replied, "I am an employee and I was just coming to pick up my check!" It was disgraceful and unbelievable.

Love the food... Our chef was amazing and personable tonight but that can be hit or miss. The initial experience of the wait and the hostessing is horrible. They really need to get personalities and learn some manners. Also instead of screaming for the next party, went not invest in the hand-held alerts. Stop screaming!

The best sushi establishment in the whole state of Michigan!!

Sagano is expensive but worth it. Good food, good service, entertaining chefs, huge portions, good drinks, and a good time.

Took mom and her best friend that we just picked up from airport from Cali. They were shock when chef did entertainment and they laughed, smiled and had great time.
The food was excellent.

This is our favorite restaurant for date night. Service is outstanding and the cooks put on an excellent show. Staff is very attentive and professional. My glass is never empty. I highly recommend sitting at the Hibachi for a great experience. It's also a way to meet new people because you sit as a group around the grill.

My wife and I go there for lunch. Very good food and the price is reasonable

Food was very good. Best resturant so for for covid restrictions. Dishes, silverware all wrapped in wrap after cleaned. That's the way you get you dinner ware. Have clear petitions up between guest at table.

Terrible service, watched waitress scream at a old woman cause she was late for her reservation. Food was okay and chef was great but never returning after seeing what she did to that poor woman.

Some chiefs are more into pleasing the customers than others... this was the most boring time I've had there.... food great as usual

To the person who says there's rats, health dept inspector would shut them down if it were true, to the lady saying they should lower prices to match the economy...I believe their prices are spot on for what you receive, food with a show prepared in front of you. I've eating here several times with the family, and its been quick, pleasant, and enjoyable for the whole family, check their open times, since they are not open all day long.

This place is hands down the best resteraunt in Flint. The service was quick and the food was so delicious. The fried rice just melts in your mouth and the noodles are so buttery and yummy. The vegetables are crispy and mouthwatering and the filet mignon is so tender. It just melts in your mouth. Best food ever. I could eat here everyday.

Lunch only gives you half the entree at half the price but the food is always amazing. They have a bar, i recommend the chocolate martini. Sushi is available. There is a show side and a regular table side so if the fire is too hot for your face or you have babies you can still enjoy the great meal. Perfect for events like birthdays or anniversaries. Always fills up fast but they keep the line moving. Take out is available also!!

This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. To find one of comparable quality one would have to drive to Detroit or further. The sushi is delicious, the presentation is exquisite, and the ambiance is without par.

Went today to enjoy lunch with my family, service was good and food tasted great as usual however, an hour later my wife n I stomachs began to rumble and frequent trips to the bathroom followed. I called to inform manager that lettuce in salad or lemons in our drinks must have been tainted as we had nothing else to eat that day and everything else we ate was cooked. The manager was extremely rude saying it wasn't their fault and suggested it was due to poor health. I was very offended by her accusation as a young man in the health profession who runs several miles a day. Was only trying to look out for future customers, but with this lady a call to the health department was my only remedy.

Great food friendly staff and great portions. It may seem pricey but worth every penny.

Always a great dining experience at the hibachi grill. Sometimes there is a wait but it makes it worth it to be able to eat and watch a fun show.

I always come here and tonight it was the absolute worst. The "Crunchy" bits on crunchy roll were so stale. The spicy sauce on the spicy california was so watered down. My husband ordered the spider crab and it tasted awful. It all left a horrible after taste. This is definitely the last time I will order from here. So sad about that because I used to love coming here.

I just watched the female owner, drop Styrofoam plates face down on the ground and put them back in the cubby she knocked them out of. GROSS. So I said something, she didn't even acknowledge that I was speaking to her because her English is so bad. But gross... Seriously gross. Never again will I eat here

Used to be my favorite place. However in the last year they have lost all respect for customers. They are rude and honestly seem like they don t care about their jobs. Call for a very small sushi order and was told a hour to a hour in a half. I said that s alright because I don t mind the wait for fresh, delicious food. However 45 minutes in to my wait I received a phone call asking if I was planning on picking up my food. So now I had sushi sitting there for hot knows how long. I explained that I was told and hour to a hour in a half and all she tells me is it s sushi like where is the customer service. Oh they don t have any. Won t be going here again.

Most recent experience: Food was great but service was really poor. We ordered take out and I speak English but the woman on the phone who took our order did not. She was extremely difficult to understand and began getting frustrated with me. We were told 30-45 mins, but waited 1 hour and 10 minutes. Quiet Discouraging.

Fresh fresh sashimi. Great service. Note that there is one front door and two restaurants. One to the left for sushi, straight ahead for hibachi.

Host was rude. Owner was yelling at employees. Food was salty. Wait was 1 hour. 4 adults and 1 child, total bill of almost $ 200. Chefs were not entertaining.

Delicious foodand so much of it that you're basically guaranteed left overs that are also super good, plus the sit down experience is incredibly entertaining.

Love saganos food, however the owner needs to revise her customer service ethics. We had a HUGE order. I called it in early, two items in she tried to rush me. When I asked for the order to be repeated I was told, Are you serious?! I don t have time for this. Be here in an hour ... and hung up on me. I called back to ask for a manager, there was not one in. I asked to
Confirm my order, and I d like to even add onto it. Again, I was told, I am too busy for this. I don t have time to deal with this . I explained and asked since it was a very large order I d like to confirm it. She actually told me that she won t help me and put the phone down, hanging it up minutes later. I eventually talked to a manager, who apologized, but told me her hands were pretty much tied. (What an unfair position for her to be In.). Needless to say, I ll drive to Fenton from now on.

The food is great and the show is even better.

The food is just okay in my opinion, I dislike that everything is always seasoned the same. The show is usually entertaining though.

Called in a take-out and it was ready on time. The soup should have been bagged differently. It spilled on my way home .

Pretty good food! I had the Hibachi steak with chicken fried rice. My wife and friends had the Hibachi chicken with white rice. Portion sizes were good, and food quality was good too. Chef's entertainment value was pretty good too! Prices are a bit high, but expected for a Hibachi grill.

We were there last Thursday and we had a wonderful time and very excellent food. We also had a great Chef who put on an excellent show. Just an awesome time.

I've had better sushi for less money. The sashimi was cut pretty thin and sort of over priced.

Their Hibachi is awesome and their waitstaff is top notch.

I just need to find a better sushi place in the area.

Love Sagano's!! Very clean. Very orderly firing this pandemic. We gave our name & number, the said 20-30 minute wait... Received a call about 10-12 minutes later. Waitress was very nice. Cook was funny and a hibachi master! Food was absolutely yummy. I gave most my noodles and rice to my husband as I'm recently low carb, but ordered a side of mushrooms and loved every bite. Can't wait for leftovers!!

Terrible customer service they never answer the phone and stop taking take out orders an hour before close. There should be plenty of time for my order.
