I have had acupuncture, acupressure, dietary consultation and Chinese massage from Devon Reynolds for neck and back pain, headaches, chronic sore throat and stress relief. I was impressed with Devon s training and credentials so I had some acupuncture and acupressure treatments done which greatly alleviated my aches and pains (I sit at my desk all the time). Also, I have had many kinds of massages in past but never Chinese massage before and it is unlike any other style I have had before. For healing and stress relief, I must say that Devon is the best massage therapist I have ever had and I plan on having more.
Although I consider myself as someone who has a healthy lifestyle, in the latter part of the year I was getting sick over and over again (cold/flu symptoms with sore throat) despite taking prescription medications from my primary care doctor at another clinic. After having too many back to back illnesses and already had taken too many rounds of antibiotics, I decided to not continue to overload my body with more medication as it was doing nothing to prevent the chronic store throats from coming back. When I went to Devon for the acupuncture, we did a dietary consultation and I was surprised to find out per Chinese medicine, I was making myself very sick because of certain foods I was eating that I thought were healthy because they are touted as health foods by mainstream media. It was causing excess heat in my GI tract. I eliminated those foods and voila! I stopped getting sick and the sore throats went away. I was amazed but also disturbed that something so simple in my diet was making me so sick and that had taken all those rounds of antibiotics for nothing! I tested it a couple of times since to make sure it was really those foods, and sick again! I have since eliminated those foods and I have this feeling I wellness that I did not have before and am no longer getting the sore throats. This advice has been worth its weight it gold. I have learned so much from Devon and all the changes I have implemented due to his advice has transformed my health. I would recommend him to anyone!
