There's always a good crowd of people in the small dog park. It's lighted so you can go after dark.
One advantage I can think of for this park and Bark Place downtown, is that it's less likely you will come across a Rattlesnake. See on the map that it is completely surrounded by busy roads and parking lots. At Hagan and other ARP dog parks signs are posted to watch for Rattlesnakes.

The facility is very clean and well designed and the staff are all friendly and helpful. I brought my 87 year old grandmother to adopt a cat after her previous kitty companion died unexpectedly and everyone was so kind and patient with her even though we were there well past our allotted time. It was hard not to take all of the animals home, but we ended up choosing a perfect little someone.

Great people but bad phone line. Recording says "high volume of calls, we're all busy, please call back" and hangs up. If you were on hold you could read or do something while you wait in line, instead of wasting time calling back.

Needed to go in to clear a citation that was written erroneously (due to an inability to find paperwork fast enough when Animal Control was dispatched concerning a cat bite). Every one was very nice, coming out to see what we needed and directing us to the correct person to clear the citation. It took a bit of time for the woman at the counter to get everything entered into the computer (I think she could use a faster computer!) but everything went smoothly and couldn't have been any easier. Sadly the adoption center is only available by appointment currently due to COVID-19, so I couldn't visit the animals and end up adopting another cat.

This is a really nice place. They have a private room that they bring your prospective pet into to let you see if it is a match. We bonded with the third kitty we played with. We didn't want to give her back, but had to because she has to be spayed before we can take her home. Overall, an excellent experience!

We drove pretty far to adopt today. It s different I get it but the staff was rude and unwelcoming. The cat we adopted was a senior cat and we are doing a good thing. This is not the first pet our family has adopted. If we hadn t already fallen in love with Sasha online we would have went somewhere else ....
