I'm a regular patient here for mental health addiction issues and the way I get treated is absolutely appalling. The nurses need to be trained better and treat all people with respect. I will avoid ever come back at all costs.

I would like to thank all the day surgery for all the brilliant profeninal service for my foot opp yesterday. The pre_opp staff very friendly and helpful. The surgery and anesthesia staff done an unbelievable great job came out feeling very comfortable and all parts intact and toes all straight again. The recovery staff were wonderful and coundnt do enough to help keep me comfortable. All in all for something I really didn't want to go through it was a good day. We are so lucky to have a good major hospital in the southern suburbs and hope government cut backs leave them alone.

I decided to come in for kidney stone pain after writhing in agony for 5 hours trying to decide if it was worth troubling the emergency department for. After waiting about an hour or less I was brought through and given pain relief. I also have a severe muscle weakness disease (SMA) and as a result I am not very mobile. The staff were very accommodating, allowing me to sit on an elevated bed (I can't stand up from regular seating) for the remainder of my wait instead of the tall chair I had to bring. I attend a lot of medical appointments and have seen many rude and pushy staff but I am grateful to be able to say everyone I dealt with in the Noarlunga ER was friendly and professional.

Went to emergency on Monday with blistered rash on arm with extreme pain in arm and shoulder I was told they get something for the pain but didn't, asked a nurse if I could have something for pain she was rude as if I was being rude in asking for it . There for 5 hours blood test, X-ray and scan and told it was a swelling on shoulder causing pain which didn't explain the huge rash on arm and told to take panadol asked for something stronger cause I was in extreme pain which they did and said I could go home. Curious what the rash was and the pain I googled! first thing came up was shingles so I had go to a doctor next morning who told me not to go near anyone as its contagious and made me go through a side door so I didn't go near anyone in surgery ( yet I sat in waiting room in hospital for hours with everyone, then hours in contacted with everyone in the hospital getting tests) the doctor quickly prescribed anti viral tablets (if you don't treat shingles fast you can get life long pain) and prescribed strong pain relief. lucky I googled !

Every single person I came across that day, the doctors, nurses, orderlies and technicians gave me some of the best medical attention and assistance I have every received. Thank you all.

I will go out of my way to refuse further appointments for my family at this "hospital". Absolutely rude and couldn't care less about my husband's referral there. With a black eye and an injury to hand caused by an unexpected seizure, my husband was brushed off as if it was his fault. "No Doctor Dear, my husband was not drunk or drugged, this was not self inflicted". Seriously, if you can't care for your patients as actual human beings worthy of your time, find another damn profession.

Oh wow, once again Noarlunga Hospital have been amazing. We have lived in the Noarlunga area for over 20 years and we have had to use the Noarlunga Hospital on various occasions. With my Dad having cancer, Mum, husband and myself on numerous occasions as I am a horse rider!!! Need I say more!! My son was the most recent yesterday with a lacerated finger and we were seen within minutes. He was assessed, x-rays done, and seen by 3 nurses and a doctor. I can't get over how lucky we are down south to have such a wonderful service. Doctors, nurses and all staff are always professional, happy, and get the job done without a fuss. Thanks so much, you guys and girls are awesome :) :) :)

I had Orthopaedic Surgery on March 4th 2021. This is a gem of a Hospital. The care I received from all staff was just so good. Perry, the rock n roll singing anaesthetist did a great Spinal and gave me a fab cocktail , whilst Dr Inglis and his lovely partner Bjork, did a bit of drilling and sawing under the watchful eyes and support of Operating Room Theatre staff. Thankyou.
Mary, the delightful recovery nurse ensured I was kept warm and safely returned me to a Private Room. Wow. I was so well cared for by all staff. You were all fab. Many thanks to Physios. Ellie and Tom who filled me with confidence to take those early first steps.
OPD reception and Clinical Nurse were great, along with all other Allied Health Staff.
Thanks so much and best wishes, Helen Smith

Teenage Daughter was badly sunburned on shoulders ...

Teenage Daughter was badly sunburned on shoulders on Australia Day, which didn t emerge until late at night. All indications - blistering, intense pain - showed this was 2nd degree and requiring Dr or ED - presented to Noarlunga around midnight to be told the wait was 3-4 hours. Around 2am nurse applied lidocaine gel to manage the pain. Finally seen 4:30am by dr who said it didn t look too bad or blistered - but the lidocaine gel was masking the mass of blistering on both shoulders! Sent us home with a bag of liquid paraffin samples to keep it moist - no dressing, no referral. Decided to take it to our family GP next day and had to wait til 3:30 appointment as surgeries are always very busy these days - which is why we turn to ED s if situation is after hours and serious! Nurse at GP clinic consults with Dr, who immediately refers us to burns unit at Flinders, texting images and referral and burns unit want to see her first thing next day - and admit her as soon as they examine. Had she been referred by the Noarlunga ED Dr when first seen, she would have been in time for a skin like dressing that would have remained on burn until the skin healed. Regardless, she required debridement under sedation and a silver dressing and a night in hospital.
This is not the first time we have been sent home from this ED - last time, a suspected fracture was sent home which ended up being diagnosed elsewhere as a fracture of the 5th metatarsal. Will not enrust this ED with my family again!

Will never come to this hospital again. My son has a suspected Broken arm. Been waiting almost 4 hours to be seen. When I express my concern, their response was you have only been waiting 3.5 hour. Well smarty pans nurse, last time I checked, 3.5 is almost 4 hours. No need for to be rude. You could have suggested to give nurofen instead, but no, still 4 hours passed and still no pain relief. After a long wait, our son finally had x-rays and has broken two bones in arm. It took them almost 4 hours to work that out? Not good enough. To make matters worse, when they finally did come after complaining for pain relief, they almost administered it to the wrong child. I understand hospital is understaffed, but no there no excuse for poor people skills. Do your job, because you clearly did not do it well for my son. We just want good care for our son. Appalling service, I would not recommend this hospital.

A big thanks to the beautiful friendly, caring staff in the ED department at Noarlunga. As a result of an evil kangaroo knocking me from a pushy It was my pleasure to meet the most professional and hard working PSAs, RAD Tech's, Nurses, Clerical staff and Doctors you are ever likely to find.
Thank You.

Would not let me attend my wife's first ultrasound for our child because it was "unnecessary" for me to be there.

No covid symptoms. Dr. Jones and Parntners is 10m into the lobby of the hospital. Completely irrational.

Had taken a day off work for this occasion... So disappointing.

30 October 2020.

Had some day surgery for the first time at this hospital thanks to all the day surgery staff for all the brilliant caring professional service. The staff were all on point every step of the way. And if there was any faults it would only be because of the condition they have to work with.. Note to all the negative comments before you complain. 1). Think about what it is costing you $000.
2). If you don't like it use private hospital and pay for it $$$. 3).Think about the people who live in a third world county and what they go through. 4) Try putting your hand up instead of out from time to time..
Thanks again for a nice hospital experience..
