S & J Motors have been nothing but pleasant throughout my entire car buying process. My sister bought her car from them and a few weeks later I did as well. They were very accommodating with my trade in vehicle and offered a great price. There were a few things I wanted taken care of before taking the car off the lot and they ensured everything would be taken care of...it was and I was very pleased! After a couple of weeks I noticed some light bulbs out and they took it, fixed the issues and returned it very quickly. Plus it was under the 30 day warranty so there was no cost to me. 3 days past the warranty my starter broke (normal wear and tear - nothing to do with S &J) and the woman in repairs graciously fixed it without issue. I've had an incredible with them and will continue to recommend friends and family to this auto dealership. Salesman and mechanic alike, everyone has been wonderful to work with!

Stan the salesman was so kind and considerate as he helped me compare a car. He was professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I live 2 hours away and he explained an option to place a hold on the car with a refundable deposit so that I could sleep easy knowing the car wouldn't be sold until I had a chance to look at it in person. Recently bought a nice '04 Honda Civic for a good, fair price. A couple weeks later the blower fan stopped working so we called to see if they could help us. They made time to look at the car at our convenience and after some surprisingly good diagnostics, replaced the HVAC control switch module. During the process they treated my wife great and had her on her way with no charge and a smile. As a car guy, I appreciate that what they did was far from the easiest job in the world. As most dealers do, they gave us what the charge would have been and I found it to be quite reasonable. They will be our first stop for our next car purchase.

The buying experience @ S&J was nice (as they do not escort you on the lot or on test drives). Staff was very friendly etc. Ended up purchasing a 2009 Forester with apx 92k for $10,000. HOWEVER - within a couple weeks of owning the car I noticed a grinding noise coming from under the vehicle. As I had to sign some final paperwork I also brought the car in to have the mechanic look at it. Told me there was no issue - it was just the sound of the turbo. Few months later (sound still constant, me thinking its the turbo) the car went in for recall service at Subaru dealership and they called me and told me right away they could hear a grind coming from the driveshaft. With 100% confidence. Ended up costing $900 to fix and the part was close to seizing and potentially causing more damage. Within 6mths I have had rear breaks replaced for a sticking caliper, the entire drive shaft replaced (also the exhaust system is almost rusted through, stabilizer links are broken, ground wire gone). I knew buying a used car that some work would need to be done but I didn't anticipate $2000 (+ exhaust quoted @ $1000-1500 and a timing belt to be done at 105k). DO YOUR RESEARCH, INSPECT BEFORE YOU BUY. To be clear and fair I am not blaming S&J for these issues, most of them are common with the make and model after learning the hard way. I was clearly under informed upon purchasing. I did feel dismissed upon bringing the grinding noise to their attention and in retrospect the exhaust (though still barely functional and not leaking) was a pretty obvious issue. Never feels good to pay out another 1/3 of the cost of your car within the first 10k miles. Maybe this wasn't a great car to put on the lot in the first place....

Stan's the best car salesman I've ever had to deal with - friendly, honest and no-pressure. S & J Motor Company is a great dealership - I'll definitely go back when I need a used car.

This was by far the easiest, best car buying experience I've gone through. Bought my car there a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it! They made it such an easy process that within 24 hours of the test drive I had purchased the car and was driving it home. The price was good and the car is in great shape. I would highly recommend buying a car here!

Buyer beware bought a car from them when bought was told the shimmy in the front would be taking care of went back five times and bought a set of 600 dollar tire that there machanic said was the problem still have the issue and the sales lady said they ve done all they could do it s a use car pretty much tough would of had better results with three hundred dollar car wouldn t buy a piece of gum from these people their crooks.also they ll give u a 100 dollars to recommend a friend so they ll pay u to screw ur family and friends over if I could I would give them zero stars but u can t

Love this place! Went looking for a car and went to a lot of places,large and small. Found a car I really liked as I had one similar but older. It was a little more than I wanted to spend and went looking at some other places. Found a car like the one i was looking at but that place wanted 300 dollars dealer fees! No thanks. Went back to s+j and got the car I wanted there were a couple issues but they took care of them right away and I have had no problems since.. Stan was a great salesman,no pressure,Sharon was great help as well,Stan,Sharon and the owner went above and beyond to help me get a nice car for a nice price. Really great to work with,no dealer fees! Would highly recommend s+j for nice cars and good prices. I'm writing this on behalf of someone i know who bought a used car from here. It is sad, and stupid that a company that has been around as long as S&J has to result in blatent lying and shoddy work to sell a car or truck.

My good friend was lied to about repair work, had to return his car multiple times to have it fixed and eventually had his car towed out of there to bring to another shop for repairs. The car he bought lasted less than 2 years till it crapped out on him

Buyer Beware... I bought a car here 3 weeks ago and the Alternator went on the car. The car came with a 1 month warranty yet they wouldn't do anything to fix this problem. They told me that I was out of luck and they wouldn't stand behind their product. TERRIBLE BUSINESS Practice and they could care less about their customers. Any reputable dealer would have taken care of this for their customer but not S&J Motors. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I bought a used 2007 GMC Acadia AWD with about 88k for mileage back in January 2016 with the intention for it to be a safe reliable vehicle for my wife to drive and young kids to ride keeping in mind it is a "USED" vehichle and being better off during the winter. I figured if i'm going to spend that kind of money i'm going to get the extended warranty just in case (heaven forbid anything should go wrong) about 32 days after taking this vehicle off their lot I started having troubles with it I.E the check engine light, brought it to the dealer they hooked it up found out something in the transmission, had to wait for what I call their GMC wizard to come in to do the diagnosis because they didn't have the equipment there (over a hundred dollars later for him to plug into it) couple of weeks later rear lift-gate wont work, take it to them again, found out there's a recall on a part for the liftgate,"take it to a GMC dealer." says the lady in service. took it to the GMC dealer got the recall part fixed still didn't work. took it back to S&J they had it for a week couldn't fix the issue of it going up 3/4 of the way them coming down even after having their "wizard" look at it. Few weeks later took it in for a total of two times to durability transmission because again the check engine light went on, they plugged in found the issue for the transmission. called the warrantee company. warrantee company says send us proof of issue Durabild calls me says they want proof of whats wrong but wont give a definate yes or no on coverage however in order to visually see the issue in the transmission durabild needs someone to raise there hand and say ill pay for you to tear the transmission apart in order to take pictures (oh by the way it was predicted to be over 1k). Durabild asks me what to do. I said ill try giving it back and seeing if they can either reimburse or trade vehicles and because of the continues problems, S&J didn't want to do that as we signed a piece of paper saying i'm not going to bring it back even if I drive it off the lot and it blows up. End all be all I live in Maine now I took it to a dealer up here they fixed the lift-gate and the transmission I.E the electronic hydrolic control module (TCEHM) system for $1,100 DO NOT BUY FROM S&J AUTO ON 60 DANIEL WEBSTER MERRIMACK NH. Vinney in the office is cool but they sell vehicles that they bought from a auction that are no good, they don't have the capability to fix anything short of doing a oil change. i'm still having problems and plan to get rid of the vehicle ASAP can't give them zero stars so 1 star it is. by the way its been 7 months since we bought it in January and seeing more indications that it needs to go back into the shop. I would expect for the price they sold it to me it wouldn't have these many problems so early of me owning it.

I found a diamond in the rough vehicle at S&J and was even more pleased with their service. I was a fairly needy customer and they went out of their way to accommodate my trade, financing and to make the vehicle absolutely perfect off the floor, so much so that they spent extra money to remove decals from the car that were installed at the factory. Will absolutely recommend others here, and this is after having visited dealers all over the country! *Ask for Stan.

Purchased a car from Nick about 1 month ago. What a knowledgeable, courteous young man. About 2 weeks later, I experienced a slight problem. I was told by Nick to bring the car in at my earliest convenience to be looked at. I brought it in the next day, and it was repaired. I absolutely love this car, and highly recommend anyone purchasing a vehicle to do so from Nick at S&J Motors. I will definitely purchase and service my vehicles here in the future.

Best place to purchase a used vehicle. Personable staff and great repair facility whether you are a customer or not. A friend told me about this place and stated its the best place to go in Merrimack NH (even though I'm from MA) John and Pam D.

Nick, owners son and also a salesperson at their establishment, posted a scooter for sale on the marketplace. It was priced really nice, so I contacted and said I'd take it. He gave me the address to the business and said he'd hold it for me. I jumped in truck and headed for the hour drive. Halfway into the drive, Nick responded that he wasn't going to sell it until he got the paperwork. I responded that it only needs a bill of sale, since it's a 50cc scooter. He said his dad, owner of company, didn't want him to sell it. He kept saying it wasn't a sale through S&J, but that his dad didn't want him to sell it for the posted price. Very confused salesperson. I was disappointed as we had agreed, and I had spend an hour and fifteen min in car, wasted toll money and gas because he "got too many inquires."

I recently bought a Ford Escape from them. I had a Great experience! Stan was very personable, and quick to respond to messages. I saw my car on a Thursday and drove it home Friday.
The buying process was quick, and I felt no pressure to buy the car.
They have a 30 day warranty, and you can buy a extended 5 year warranty.
After 2 days there was a leak in one of my valves and they fixed it quickly. No problems since.

From my perspective, S&J is a great place to buy a used car, especially if you want to avoid the hassle and sales pressure of a large dealership. My husband and I bought a 2010 Ford Escape for our son about three years ago. Stan (Sales) was knowledgeable, patient and extremely efficient, and helped us get a deal done quickly. Since then we've had no major problems with the vehicle, and whenever we take it back to S&J for routine maintenance or minor issues, we receive prompt, professional service from Renee and the crew.

Best friend for over 40 years tells me this is the best place to purchase a used vehicle. He and his family have purchased all their vehicles here and will not go any where else for a new car and any service they may require.

I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about. My purchase here was handled with excellence. The van I bought this past month needed service after my purchase and it was handled with equal excellence. No waiting, excuses or put offs, just great service all around. This dealer has the customer service package down pat.

Have had nothing but issues with the car i bought. In 4 years i coups have bought the car twice. That is how much money i have or into it.

Very sketchy place, went to test drive 3 cars 2 had dead batteries, 2 had brake problems. If you dont know what to look for do not shop here.

This is the place to go to when you're looking to purchase a car. Unlike every other dealership I've been to this one doesn't pressure you into anything. They have incredible prices and a diverse assortment of vehicles on their lot. The crew their are equally amazing. The detail person is through, the financing department will work with you the best they can and they genuinely care about their customers. They are there to make you (the customer) happy and aren't just trying to get a commission off you by selling you just anything. My wife and I delt with Sharon Davey, she is a wonderful lady! Unlike other dealerships this one has NO documentation fee (other than a $25 title fee but that goes directly to the state). If you go here tell them Spencer Krajci sent you!

Purchased a 2011 Kia Rio for my daughter in June 2016. The salesmen were gentlemen. Before buying the car we had a pre-buying inspection done. S&J motors compromised with us on having some repairs done to the car. I was happy they met us half way. It was a positive experience even though I was a bit skeptical about buying from a dealership. It has been a great car and I would consider buying from them in the future.

Buyer be aware this place is not the place you want the get your car sales man are rude and willing to blood you dry they over price all the cars the get at junk actions. If you want to waste money on broken cars and waste your time fixing them then this is the place for you. I highly recommend take your business somewhere else.

My family has bought three cars from them and all of them have had major issues since. Recently the Honda accord I purchased for 8,000 went to inspection and needed new timing belt which was supposed to be replaced at 105k miles when i bought the car at 115k. Don't buy from them,

Do not trust S&J! I was sold a Honda Fit with a clean CarFax history. An hour down the road, I started smelling melting plastic and had to go to a mechanic. Turns out, the car had been in an unreported accident and was totaled on the inside. When I returned to S&J I found out that not only did they know about the accident, they fixed the bumper and didn t touch the inside. They were not apologetic and tried to refuse me a refund. The sales people put me in a dangerous car with a smile and weren t as friendly when I came back.
