my father was recently admitted and they misdiagnosed my father and secondly they were supposed to talk to the surgeon for possible treatment before being discharged and he never talked to the surgeon and was discharged without knowing what to do. Never ever again, the only reason we go to this hospital is because it is really close to our house, but now I would not mind driving extra miles just so we can get the proper medical attention needed.

I was kicked out of my room and had to wait outside of it and had to move to the waiting room while my mom was getting a cat scan. This place is dirty and I don't recommend it to nobody, this place is the worst. That don't do much to take care if the patient, they want blood work and dint do much. I would say this is probably the worst hospital in the world. Don't go to this crappy place.

Several years ago I went to the ER after a fall. They took an x-ray of my arm that hurt and told me nothing was broken and sent me home. Never cleaned the cuts all over my face, so by the time I cleaned them at home they were infected. 3 days later I went to my doctor because my arm still hurt. He took new x-rays and told me I had a serious fracture. Next time, I won't go to the ER and go straight to my regular doctor.

I wouldn t advice anyone to this place. Not only did they give me the worst care and took months and multiple visits to the er to even get a proper diagnosis. Then they kept billing me for the same bill my insurance already covered. I called multiple times where they said they took care of it and to ignore anymore mail from them regarding the bill. Then they sent it to collections. I m not even the first person I know that they have done this to. This hospital is a scam.

I would give this place no stars! It s a complete joke! My 85 year old mother -in-law has been in and out of this stupid hospital 3 times in the last month, because of an infection they refuse to admit came from there the first time. We had to fight with the doctor the third time she was there, just last week to have her stay, because we wanted her checked throughly. What a circus it became, from a case manager accusing my wife that she that she was looking for something wrong her mother and also asking us if the reason we wanted her to stay was because we don t have help at home! We were furious!! Who wants their parents to be sick! And we have full time help, it s called my wife and I. Completely insensitive and rude all the way around! Maybe if they took their head out their butts and had some compassion towards family members, maybe this crappy hospital would get a better rating then 2 stars as an overall rating! Please take your loved ones to another hospital, we are going to from now on after the way we were treated! You can change the name, but it s still Somerset Medical Center

I'm from NY, so I am unfamiliar with this area. I was visiting NJ when I had an allergic reaction. I quickly developed anaphylaxis and eventually my ailing condition caused for me to collapse after being unable to breathe. My friend called 911 and the paramedics/EMTs quickly handled it. When I arrived to RWJUH, I woke up and already was surrounded by various doctors and nurses who worked with diligence to maintain my wellbeing. The whole first day is a blur to me, but one thing is for certain, and it is that I had felt very assured in this hospital during my aftercare. My nurses were caring, and two people in particular I won't forget for their kindness and respect toward me. I appreciate those involved in my treatment and wish for them to know that. I write this review in hope that even just one person will take note of it, and be assured that the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville will take very good care of you like they did for me.

I was there 3 weeks ago with a serious bacterial infection in my ear & start of Sepsis . Let me start off by saying - there is too much that went wrong and I went and obtained my medical records this past Friday and found diagnosing for things no one ever took care of or addressed. It appears I have some renal failure, never told , I have a severe antibiotic resistant infection in my bladder that went into my kidneys. And the medicine they gave me does not target that type of MRSA. The worst was that they ignored my call ( and I never bothered them for anything ) when I hit the call button. I had to scream for my nurse. I blew up from the meds and started wheezing. When nurse finally came in she turned it off and administered benedryl so much I hallucinated for 12 hours. Who knew that was a thing. Not that I cared - but they never put it in my chart. They sent in a shrink to see me before they had the test results and he said nothing was wrong with me. Sure I was stressed. I had to grab my IV pole and run to the door cuz no one would answer my cry for help as I was wheezing from a severe allergic reaction to an iv antibiotic. Are u kidding me. And then the nurse didn t even write it down. I ve been receiving certified letters from them apologizing. This isn t a hospital it s a glorified clinic at best. Prob get better care at a clinic. Horrible horrible horrible.
The ER was good though.

Such disorganized and dirty hospital... took my hu...

Such disorganized and dirty hospital... took my husband last Wednesday to the ER and they placed him in the middle of the hallway because there weren t clean available room to check him in. Finally someone came to clean the bloody room with disinfectant wipes leaving all the blood clots behind on the sink . We been here since then.... and no one came to clean or DISINFECT his room or bathroom. I needed to ask to have his bed sheets changed and beg someone to come and clean his bathroom... eventually a cleaning lady came and wiped off the toilet sit without gloves and left... there was no intention to clean or wipe off the counter sink of the bathroom nor the shower....few minutes later, I found the same cleaning lady, killing time on her cell phone and standing by the room door. I asked if I can BORROW the floor mop since the floor was so filthy, but she finally did it herself....
Now, my husband is in a clear diet, but the kitchen bring him regular food all the time. The nurses only come either when the IV bag needs to be replace and it s because you call her or whenever is a switch of shift.... VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

Let me start off by saying this hospital broke major ethical codes. I have a DNR, during a vital drop in November i was brought here and treated in the ER. I did not consent to any of this treatment. The doctor was horrible and the only kindness I got was from the nurse Dillon. Fast forward and I argued with billing and got nowhere I had to eat a $390 bill!!! This is not acceptable and the insurance department claimed that I had multiple insurance!? Nothing was fixed and I m super upset. I will be telling every newspaper, news station, radio station, and will be making a vlog about how horrible my experience was here. Your rights have ZERO value and the staff could care less!!!
