We know temple is equal to everyone but here if you doesn't have money then it's not for you. A normal ticket cost 150 to enter the premises as if you are going to some museum. People go to temple whenever they need peace to mind and if they cost 150 to enter then they don't like to go at all. Don't know why they have such a worst management. If this continues then people stop going n soon such a beautiful temple wil be shut down because of these money looters.

Temple is good. But it's highly commercialized. They snatch money at each step. Really got irritated by it. Would never visit this place again. In fact it's not a Temple, it's an amusement park where you pay a lot at each stall and don't get anything. It's everything that a Temple shouldn't be. Spirituality is miles away from this place. They're just looting money in God's name.

Was thinking it is temple where I can have some peace. But no it's commercial place and just doing business.
Offcourse there is no entry fee if don't want to visit extra attractions like 12 jyotirlinga and all.
But still every 2 meters there are stalls which do some poojas and charge money.
Pujaries there are like vendors demanding money.
Feels very bad what they are doing on the name of God.

The whole place is a fraud. I am a staunch believer in God and am a practicing Hindu. What does the management offer? A big zero.
I went there yesterday with my son and was told that the Dharshan would cost Rs 150 per person. Not knowing what I was getting into, I bought the tickets and was taken through a naroow path leading to the three holy shiva sthalams Amarnath, Ketharnath and Badrinath. These were sites of fraud as I could not find peace of mind. More affronting is the Amarnath Linga was made out of metal for ice deposition which in my opinion is a fraud. I also believe the management has gone against to Hindu way F thinking to sculpture a Linga in steel and not on granite. I felt that the Big statue of Shiva was of plaster of Paris and not marble or granite and In my opinion the organisers are taking gulliable people for a ride and the government must step in to stop this fraud

If you are in Bangalore and have never been to Murudeshwar then this is a nice place to visit place.

Huge statue of Shiva is worth the traffic you might face during the commute.
A large statue of Ganesha is also there .

Apart from the huge statue there isn't much to see . If no crowd it will probably take 30 45 mins for everything.

Super

I will give zero star but giving one just to enable POST button to click :). I personally request everybody to boycott this place just because of its commercialization. Entry fee is very very high. I don't know whether it is crowd controlling trick or what, but surely this is not the only way. I would suggest not to visit this place instead go to any other Shiva temple.

Please don t go there. It s a private temple. While entering car parking they say that we have special darishan for 250 rs. It leads straightaway to the temple.

We went for free darishan which is to the left of Kemp fort mall. They have made path like a tunnel with dim light and no proper ventilation is there. Many of old age people and children can t stay there because of suffocation. Most of the children were crying because of fear.

Also they make us to wait for long time even when there s no crowd inside. I can see so many people returning back after waiting there for a long time. They will close the gate in Between and make us wait for hours. The special darishan people they can go straight away from car parking itself. But we have to stay long back.

Even after waiting for a long time in this terror tunnel when we r entering into the temple they ask for 150 rs. We have to pay 150 rs even after this much struggle. If it is 150 rs path they y they mention it as free darishan. Worst management. Simply for pulling money from us they make dramas.

Everywhere they have written as service to hod is service to humanity but for that making cheap dramas and getting money from common people is the worst part.

After that we came back without entering temple. I feel that this is not temple. This s like some tourist place where we have to pay entry fees for site seeing.

Don t go there.

From the car parking you can see the statue of shiva. You see from there itself and return back. That s good

'The history of this Shiva Temple dates back to the year 1994 when the construction of the 65-feet-tall Lord Shiva idol started. The temple was inaugurated by Sri Shankaracharya of Shringeri on February 27, 1995 on the auspicious MahaShivratri day in Bangalore, Karnataka.'

The ambiance of temple is really good and calm but apart from this for entrance they charges 150 and 250 per person ..felt really bad bcz we just wanted to see Shiva but for dirshan they are charging simply...it's like museum not like temple, how common people would go and take darshana with this much fee? Really bad authority... at least they can charge 50ok but it was really high for common people who can't offerd too much amnount just for temple..I'm first time seeing this felt really bad never wanted to go again here

This temple is alongside kempfort mall. You can park your vehicle in the mall parking.it's a busy road. At enterace they will ask you if you want to perform special puja ( i hv never paid for it).if yes, they will give you a receipt i don't know how much they charge. As you will go inside the temple.... It's like a cave structure where again you will see one person sitting on a chair and will ask you for general darshan fee... Which includes darshan of jyotirling's and dham they hv created+one mansarovar lake they hv created ( you put coin and diya in that lake)+ 108 times rudraksha jaap.So you pay and go inside.it's a beautiful temple. You can sit there for sometime. When you come out of the temple there are some small shops of god idols etc. It's a nice and beautiful temple but commercialized.

Stop calling this temple... Without a 100 in hand a common man is not allowed to see God. Does this mean temple? Highly commercial...looting money. Call this tourist place having all duplicates of jyothirlingas and chardham temples..

I never expected that is described as devine place is maintained and made as a poor commercial establishment. I am sorry to say I have paid Rs.150/-per head for 10 task (nothing) for a worst place in the Garden city. For heavenshake pl. don't earn in the name of Shiva. On Nama Shivaya

Awesome ambience to worship. Often crowded. You can enter for free of cost to worship shiva. It is present just behind Kemp Fort mall. If you enter the temple through the mall parking, you will be asked to pay Rs250/Rs500 for Darshan fees.

If you want to enter some cave and perform other divine activities they charge excess money. It is well commercial now. But in evening, to sit in shrine is divine with that chanting. Must place to visit.

Highly commercialized . Glad that we saw reviews here and went . Once we entered we were asked to go for the special entry and we said no !! Then we were asked to pay 150/- which we politely refused . Then the counter lady asked us to pay rs.50 which again we refused . Then we just went inside and saw the shiva statue , spent few minutes there and returned . 150/ is asked for the activity ticket , which includes few abhishekas , Guha entrance , letter to god etc . So you can politely say no if you don't believe in those . Overall this "activity ticket " gave me the feeling of amuzement park than of devotion . The statue is huge and amazing , one star just for that .

It's not a religious site but a commercial enterprise. You pay between 150 and 250 INR to get I'm and then you follow through the "activities" as if you were in an amusement park. People are friendly, but they try to sell you all kinds of things with every step you take. There is no time or room for prayer or contemplation. It really is a commercial site. There's a very strange kind of "cave", too, where you can find models of all famous shivalingams in India.

- a Well Engineered Beautiful Shiva's place ( Though many things are artificial )
- Area wise It not a huge place bdw but you will definitely feel relaxed and peaceful.
-It has a cozy market too where you can get books, and many refreshment items

The star is for the majestic statue.

The star is for the majestic statue.

If I tell someone that I have gone for a temple and had to spend 1000 bucks for entry (5 adults & 1 kid) , how does that sound? That's exactly what had happened to me.

I'm not against the idea of rvm foundation. But this shouldn't be happening in the name of God.

Commercialization doesn't exclude God too, it seems.
