Amazing place, so calm ambienve, you are offered a ticket while you enter the temple basis on which you can offer different prayers to Shiva. Also you are given Prasad, and diyas which you have to offer, and yes you are also given a chance to perform Anhisjek of lord Shiva with honey, milk , curd etc along with chanting of mantras. Blessed place, must visit if you're in Bangalore

Founders/Manager/Dircetors - you can't force any1 to pay for entry... If this continues... It will give negative impact on public.. as well as temple... You should look into this on a very serious note...

This is a most horrible temple experience. Located in a super tiny little conjugated space in between commercial and residential complexes. Arrogant management looting people's money.
Completely over rated in the name of lord shiva. Horrible ambience - accept lord shiva statue everything else is BS.

Biggest statue of Lord Shiva in Bangalore and it really has its importance in the minds of locals. This place has its recognition even for big stars in the southern industry. They have a man made cave also for tourism purpose and they charge for it. You can even opt for a special pooja.

Very sad that these people use the god for loot money from people and I ended up paying 400 odd bucks for nothing just to see some man made caves. These people are very hungry for money they charge 100 in the starting then charge for every level which is very much for a middle class family! I recommend anyone not to go der! Waste of your hard earned money!

Surely you will discover another Hindu temple who devote only money. Even though there is no queue asking devote to take longer path. Rs.150/- forcefully charging for darshan. Stop this business on the name of God.

If I had chance to give negative rating I would have preferred tat..I didn't feel it's a temple.. It was more of money power.. They charge 150 rupees for entrance..

I am not writing against the religion but wanted to make people aware of the dececive attitude people has inside the Bangalore's Shiv temple which is located in Murugeshpalya.

- When you reach out to the first entrance counter, you will find a money-minded lady asking for the entrance fees. Actually, she would have been given target like sales executive. She will ask for the entrance fees, mobile and camera charges. If your phone has camera on it, she will charge money for that as well.
(There was a devotee who was kicked out of the entrance gate as he was not having enough money with him and he left being hopeless).

- This temple is for the rich people who has enough cash on their pocket.
When you take the normal darshan coupon and get inside you would find another lady ahead insisting you to take another coupon compulsorily or you would not be allowed inside further. You need to brawl with her and tell you do not need any special darshan (again, she might have been given sales target!). Then, she will show you another gate.

- When you move forward, they've put an iron chain to divert people to go towards another special entrance. You need to clear this final round to go near the lord Shiva statue. You've to tell them that you do not have money and came only for darshan. Else you would be asked to pay for special darshan coupon compulsorily.

I'd noticed many people arguing and returning back from the temple because of money. Everyone working in the temple have urge to make more money.
(Cheap attitude in such a holy place).

This is a nice place to take a stroll around evening time. There are few mosquitoes and bugs, so it is advisable to wear a bug repellent cream such as odomos. Nice paved sidewalks overlooking the lake, pleasant place to go for a walk and spend some time around the lake.

A well maintained man made water body, with lots of plush greenry around it . This is a walker s delight as there is a pathway made around the lake . There are few seats available around the periphery as well where one can sit and relax after taking a stroll down the pathway.
