The temple is placed just beside a newly built Kemfort Mall. It completes all the 12 jotirlings. A must visit place for hindus and non-hindus to understand and learn more about Lord Shiva and the existence of all the jotirlings.

3 Stars only for the beauty of statue and ambience they have created.
Visit to just enjoy the ambiance and see huge Shiva statue.
Entry to temple (don't think regular temple) is only very bad because you have to enter through mall's parking lot and vegetable distribution mandi.
It's too artificial but my review is not hurt any sentiments of people which they have but just tell you go with intention to watch statue.
Even I had huge expectations when saw photo online.
You won't be devine inside temple. I have used word temple only for statue of Shiva exist there other than that not single thing and feel about temple. It's completely money making drama.
Ask for 50 Rupees ticket and enter temple just see this huge Shiva statue. Don't go for 250 Rupees entry. It includes dramatic things to do like chant and place Rudrakshi in each bowl and pour the water on Shivalinga, Yagna, Milk Abhisheka (written same on board) and throwing given coin on plater pond called manasa sarovara to get rid of your sins done so far .
This is very nice place for family visit. Very big idol of lord Ganesh, lord Shiva and different type of Shivlinga's model such as Badrinath, Amarnath etc.
Take 50rs ticket even if they say not free or force you to buy 150 or 250 RS tickets.... Take 50rs ticket and enjoy cave and Pooja to lingu .....very nice
The truth is you cannot feel any spirituality there. Those who have no money in hand have no rights to visit that temple. For general entry they charge 150 per head and special entry its 250 per head. Conclusion: its a place where you can see some creative stuffs.
They charge 250 per head for special entry which includes many pooja and cave entry which is totally worth children are allowed free with adults. Otherwise there is a free entry also which don't include entry to cave pooja n others like special entry. If really want to go I suggest special entry....
Just behind Total Mall (Kemp fort mall) in old airport road. The idol of lord Shiva is big and huge and looks very beautiful with mount Kailsh in background. It looks even better during Aarti time in the evenings. There is another big idol of lord Ganesha too. They have created various pilgrimage places carbon copy which are attractive. You can perform various Pooja as per the rules and regulations. On the contrary, the fee charges for visiting temple is high and needs extra money for visiting the prototypes of Shiv Lings as well.
I'm really disappointed with the temple staff, they are charging INR 150 per head right below the free entrance board. Though we refuse ,they are compelling to pay entry free...which is purely scam ...we come from far off city to visit and temple people loot us this way...which very pathetic...please consider this review before anybody visit.
The only temple in Bangalore where you can't see god without money... Business Temple.... They made temple as famous and now without money you can't see God... I won't suggest people to visit this place...
This one star is only for the awesome Shiva statue. This is the only temple I have seen which has very high entry fee (you have to spend at least Rs.1000 if you are going with family) and devotees have no other option. Management people are thieves looting the money from people.
The experience of visiting this temple is uncountable blessings of Lord Shiva. Such a huge striking statue - breathtaking !! One must visit when in bangalore. A very calm, composed place. Soulful Bhajans are played throughout the day which takes you on a entire spiritual journey.
Amazing place one should visit! Tallest Shivan statue with fantastic ambience one can dive into Divine mood very quickly..This place is located exactly behind Kempfort mall on Old HAL Road
You are looking for some nice soothing place and a beautiful statue of Lord Shiva, this is the place then. Good lighting in the evening and can sit and relax. The temple people has made it more as a marketing place rather than temple. They will always try to pull money from you for entrance, special darshan and almost everything. Though you can enter by telling them you want to have Normal darshan. Only then they charge Rs5 per head for keeping footwear. Authority should not try to extract money for every thing. It should be given by individuals on there self esteem.
Awesome place to take your parents who love going to temples. There is no entry fee it's not compulsory to pay entry fee. If you are performing any pooja or activity then only you can take ticket. Tickets are there for each activity and whole as well. Watching all Jyothirlingas in cave way is a very nice activity. You can opt for this if needed.
Running a business model. When we tried to give 10 rs for donation. They said we can't even get a biscuit out of it. Volunteers are unfriendly and mean.
Beautiful temple to watch. However, bit costly because though it's a small temple, they will charge for everything once u enter in apart from Rs. 250 special entry fee.
One of the most famous Shiva Temple not only in Bengaluru but in the whole India. It s also one of tourist attractions of Bengaluru, with 2 big statues of Lord Shiva and his son - Lord Ganesh. The only disadvantage here is the entry fee is costly: 300rs/person.
It has become a business. Yesterday I took my parents to the temple. As it was Wednesday, there was no rush. Still they were charging Rs 100 per person just to enter the temple. If you don't pay you cannot enter. Management has made it a source of income. There are few artificial caves inside the temple where you need to pay Rs 20 per person just to enter the caves. Thankfully I did not take that route. Fully commercialised temple. Management please do not play such emotional games with innocent people coming from various places of India.
Good Temple to visit and take blessings from Lord Shiva , place is very good to visit and Good for photography also , place is maintained soo clean , inside they have made many kind of poojas and cave to see the God also , but for Pooja nd all Charged , there is an entry Ticket also , poojas are done step by step , go visit this place it's very good
Worst Ever Darshan I had! It is a First ever Business Temple in world. Everyones attitude including Poojari, is like business person. Below are points.
1. We knew it was free, but at the entrace 2 women forced us to take 150 Rs that too per head. And that ticket is for 10 different types of Aartis and some pooja's. It is forceful. Otherwise they will not allow inside. So i had to pay 300 Rs for 2 people. 2. Those ladies treat us like , we are idiots coming to darshan, and talk very unprofessionally. Dont stand here, Dont come here, Go that side. 3. Behind me, 5 college students came, and while entering , those ladies forced them to charge 450 for 3 people and for other 2 people they did not allow inside. I felt bad for college guys. It is forceful business. 4. Trustme , it is bullshit, They have made caves , through which you have to go and see some bullshit automatic machines ringing bells/opening closing , Small shiva murthy going up and down. These bas***s are making money in the name of god , by making people fool. 5. They forcefully asked 4 old women to hold aarti's infront of big shiva statue, just because owner had come, they wanted to please owner by this view, they treat Devotees as showpeice for their owner. And just because of owner, almost atleast 20-25 minutes, they asked us to wait holding aartis forcefully, they will say , do not keep it down or any where just do aarti. To some old women, they were pinching and asking them to do aarti , those old women were getting pain of holding aarti. Bas***ds. 6. We should bring this to News media. One day, these fu**ers will be brought in very bad light. 7. During entire darshan, i was boiling and getting angry, not because of money, because the way they cheating, lieing , forcing, treating people.. 8. Poojari, said it is free, then he said, no no i do not know . I am new , you have to pay 150 Rs. Bluffing. 9. I talked to that manager, he tells as if he does not know anything, he says he will take action on them. But one time, they will pay huge for this bullshit.
Temple very commercial ,their staff only see how to collect money from devotees. ..Temple means we all thought it's holy place but here very commercial
Om Namah Shivay. It was earlier a free darshan. Now the darshan ticket's cost is Rs. 250. They take you through a very holy process. One should come here with all peace and good time to seek the blessings and cherish the Devine feeling at the temple. Wonderful start of the day at Bangalore. Be positive and stay blessed
It was a simple yet beautiful place earlier but today they made a huge business out of it. Nevertheless people (including me) love visiting this place only to see the huge Shiva idol and sit there for sometime for peace and prayer. Crowd is terrible on Shivaratri. So, I try to avoid visiting on this particular day.
It is illegal they are charging 155 to enter in the temple. Govt. Should take notice of it why they are charging 155 and where is that money going. They have made a business out of it.
The Shiv Temple, situated at Old Airport Road, Bangalore, is one of the most popular spiritual destinations in the city. Built in 1995, the temple is said to have the most powerful Shiva statue in the world with a gigantic 65 feet tall idol.
Place is superb, they try to create a good environment, but people makes lot of noise due to which its noisy. CAREFUL OF the lady sits at the entrance, she cheats you saying there is no free entry, she takes entry fees saying LIE. The entry is free all the time.
Very nice place to visit.... A big shiva statue...but people are not informative... When we went there at the entry they were giving tickets and we thought its entry fee and took which is 150 per head... when we entered inside came to know that it's for different kind of devotional activities which they didn't informed before..So do not get confused and pay 150...
This is very beutiful and one of the big temple in banglore. This is my 1st time visiting to this temple, and so ameging temple.. "OM NAMHSHIVAYA" /\ .
