RV VLSI DESIGN CENTER is the place where i came to know my ability to learn and succeed.I really felt an industry environment here.Firstly I would like to thank Venky sir, CEO of RV VLSI DESIGN CENTER for providing me a platform where i can get a chance to enter in to VLSI industry with an experience of tools which we need to work on in the industry, for guiding me by considering my feedback inspite of his busy schedule .I would like to thank all my faculty members for teaching me in a good way.I would like to thank manjula mam for being supportive and encouraging.I would like to thank each and every one here for being part of my success.

RV VLSI is not a jewelry shop to go and purchase gold (skills and knowledge), it s a mining field that you have to dig and extract what you want.
It ll be long review if you are in hurry, directly jump to CLIMAX.
I m from ADAD batch 28 Front-End (RTL Verification).
Everything is not perfect in RV-VLSI but there are good things to appreciate and more things to improve.
First and the foremost It s not a placement agency If you have idea of getting placed by joining RV then definitely it s not the place for you guys. Placements are just bonus if you performed well and luck permits you to have it, else you are on your way. But for sure if you are good then with the skills and knowledge which you gain in RV-VLSI one can find some job.
The classrooms, infrastructure, tools and materials are all good and there is nothing you can takeout except what you can note down or capture in mind ;-). They say like they maintain corporate culture but it s not so. It s intermediate between classes and corporate.
The course also well structured but runs very fast. If u like to practice more you can stay long and work fast. But never ever try to learn something out of topic you choose. Once I tried and for that get scolded twice. Still I m confused was I really wrong..!! [oooh .pex]
Interaction with the faculties is good but most of the times you don t get answers for your questions. There are two reasons, first it s their intention to let you try to get your answers and the second is they too have not tried what you are asking about. Priya and Arun are good (they handle front-end topics) and Vinay take you through basics and in case of any problem he ll be the first point of contact. Always a smile attached on his face. I didn t get any chance to interact with Srinath, completely backend stuff.
Arun is very cool and calm, good in technical knowledge and aptitude. He ll help you if u like to explore more and more in SV and UVM. Lot of people have problem with Priya. She has her own strength and weakness. To follow her teaching takes some time and we ll get confuse often (In-fact she confuses us). But she mastered the core skill of verification and just struggling to express it [It s the situation for her in our batch since she is adjusting form work mode to teaching mode, I feel it ll not be a problem form next batch]. Personally they are very good friends.
About the CEO Venki, he has his own attitude and there is nothing you have to worry about it. It s his words You are not here to make any relationships . But one thing really great about him is his personality. He has the good skills to impress students and technically very knowledgeable person [He claim himself that he is Citizen of USA, directly this evening itself he can take flight to go back, he doesn t need VISA to go back to USA. If he is citizen of USA then he is living here in Indian VISA to run business and serving VLSI domain..??]. Whatever it may be, it s great to have a person like him in your professional circle.
Small suggestion to Front-End course structure is that the time allotted for SV and UVM is too tight. For project it is very less. Kindly consider this and refined the schedule.
ADAD-B28: Our batch is first student batch to celebrate ethnic day in RV-VLSI. Thanks to Manjula for supporting and to get permission from Venki. We played lot of basketball too
CLIMAX: If you are looking to have a career [ONLY] in VLSI domain, if u r a fresher or 1 year experience then go for RV-VLSI (I m not comparing it with any institute because I don t find any other worthy institute to compare). There are lot and lot of things to learn (basics) in VLSI domain to have a good career. It provides the platform for you to learn and try out tools. Study materials are good and really you don t need to depend on it. Placements are bonus for you if you perform well and luck permits. Finally knowledge and skill are always worth what you get here for career in VLSI Domain.

I"am thankfull to RV VlSI which helped me to switch my career domain from PSU to VLSI verification by providing training to get industry skills and ample interview opportunities.I completed Frontend RTL verification course here and currently working at mediatek . I would like to take an opportunity to thank Venki sir and Manjula mam for their guidance and Roopa mam who has been great support for us through out the duration of course and made us to understand the verification concepts easily with her good teaching skills and industry knowledge which help us to learn things quickly . If some one want to pursue his career in Verification I would recommend to join RV VLSI for skill development."

Thank you very much for RV VlSI faculty and they helped me to start my new journey in my professional life. I placed in very good company I never ever imagine that I ll go product based but it's possible only by R V VlSI thank you

Its my personal experience i felt that RV-VLSI is ...

Its my personal experience i felt that RV-VLSI is not that good institute for one to grab good VLSI exposure because they charge around 1.55 lakhs for back-end courses and its not at all that worthy ,they only provide one tool for whole back-end fields(especially PD and STA) and they simply waste time on a small project of 40 nm for almost 3 months nobody really take care about project phase ,i feel that the faculty is jus working for getting salaries but not really share their knowledge and involve with students and for a fresh college graduate all these ASIC/FPGA topics are not known caz we never learn them in colleges and these ppl behaves like as if we know these stuffs already by simply saying "Find it out" for every question asked ,they are not at all worried about any thing that deals with student things and on the other side there are may institutes which are providing many good tool knowledge along with PD and STA they are providing SYNTHESIS and PHYSICAL VERIFICATION which is good for one to cover almost total back-end portion in ASIC and that too they are charging around 1 lakh which is good for one to join and chances of getting job is more caz they cover almost back-end ASIC and can grab good knowledge of more tools. So one should think before joining RV VLSI design center, they are providing all outdated projects(40nm) which no company is working on ........So my personal suggestion is please do not join RV-VLSI and simply waste your money ,time and knowledge better go for some other institutes which is much more worthy for what you pay and getting lots of tool knowledge. Please think before Join RV VLSI Design Center

Honest review on my experience in RV VLSI for Phys...

Honest review on my experience in RV VLSI for Physical Design.
It's a 6 months course of which the first 2 months are basics ( mostly theory) and then 4 months of hands on project.
They have the latest industry standard tools for physical design and STA and excellent material for the concepts as well.
They won't teach you like how a school would teach, but they give you all the resources which is required and it's up to you what to do with it.
The lab is open from 10am to 8pm, you can approach Mr. Srinath if you have any doubts or questions. You ask him the right questions and he'll give the right answers. The more you interact with him, the more you get to know.
Keep your basics of electronics very strong, utilize the tools and materials provided by them well, read up articles about the technology and subjects and do well in your internal interview.
RV will get some core companies for placements , if you follow the above steps you can surely get a job.
No one can guarantee placement, it depends on the job market and sometimes luck.
I also slacked off little bit and didn't do all the things I mentioned above , but I got placed in a company through RV .
I'm thankful for RV for giving me the opportunity.

It was a good experience with RV-VLSI Design Center.. I have completed ADAD PD course. Here teaching techniques, explaining concepts, exposure to real time scenarios and especially the guidance on interview questions are very helpful. They kept the overall sessions engaging. All the support and guidance provided by Faculties and RV-VLSI Design Center for the course is highly appreciated.

A friend of mine recommended RV-VLSI to me. I was hesitant in applying to RV-VLSI as I had my international masters degree in VLSI.
But later I applied to RV-VLSI and my admission was wait listed as all seats were full.
I'm fortunate that I got an admit to the B29 batch as a seat got vacant. Though I had experience I was missing something technically to get a better position in VLSI. Now I must say without any doubt in my mind that my decision to join RV-VLSI is a correct one and because of the course structure, teaching style and project experience that I gained here I got the confidence to work as a Physical Design Engineer. Thanks RV-VLSI without your support I would not have made it to Mindtree on my own. I'll cherish the interactions I had here with my batchmates and the staff of RV-VLSI. I plan to stay in touch regularly on the RV-VLSI LinkedIn page and look forward to continue this relationship.

I have completed my ADAD Front end course(RTL Verification) from Batch-35. For the people who are passionate about building their career in the VLSI domain, RV-VLSI provides every facility from expert faculty to the industry standard tools. The course is well structured and the lab work allows us to get hands on experience of the tools.
The entire course work related to Front end has been handled by Roopa mam, and she has carried it exceptioally well. Her approaches to make us understand the subtle nuances in coding, using real time scenarios, help us in understanding and implementing the concepts with ease and bug free.
The institute also assists in finding a job, and getting one is entirely dependent on the individual's performance and a bit of luck to get the right opportunity at the right time. I have been lucky enough to get one such opportunity, and performed well to get placed.
All the best for all the aspirants.

I have completed my course in the Physical Design ...

I have completed my course in the Physical Design at RV-VLSI Design Center. It provides the best industrial training in the field of VLSI industry. The best feature of the training is they provide a professional atmosphere instead of the student-faculty atmosphere.

It is basically a six-month course in which they cover the following topics.
Basic concepts ---> Digital Design, CMOS, Network Theory.
Training Core Topics ---> STA (Static Timing Analysis), a Scripting languages (Perl, TCL, Shell), Implementation of PNR flow (Floorplan, Powerplan, Placement, Clock tree synthesis, Routing), Overview of ASIC flow.
Tools ---> Prime Time (STA), ICC-II (PNR),
They also cover basic concept of VHDL or Verilog, Full custom Layout.

After completion of training, I have selected by two best companies (MEDIATEK AND INNOVIUM) of the VLSI industry.
Thank you very much to all staff of RV-VLSI Design Center and special thanks to Mr. Srinath Sir for everything.

I pursued full custom from RV-VLSI in batch-37.RV-VLSI is the best institute in India for a course in VLSI. Their training is in such a way that it makes you industry ready so you get placed in the best semiconductor companies. Most of the top companies recruit people from here.I thank the team of RV-VLSI (now RV-SKILLS) for making me realise my potential and helping me land a dream job in one of the fortune 500 companies.I had a wonderful time learning and interacting with such a diverse group of people coming from different backgrounds from across the country. I am from ADEMS'11 batch. It's disappointing that we just learnt c, c ++ and basic OS after paying around 55k. We were promised to work on different platforms and different devices but not fulfilled. The institute has made it clear that it is not job guaranteed so they stand on that word. If students are going with a hope that they would get a job after going to the institute then not a place of thier choice.

Biggest mistake of choosing this institute over C-DAC. 4 month of Verification course is waste. wasted 1.2 lac rupees. Waste teaching and no knowledgeable staff. There is no proper placement officer. If i am paying 1.2 lac to you then your liable to give me training at par with industry. This is not small amount of money for 4 month of course. Overall experience is very bad.

Worst institute I've been ever part of.

Worst institute I've been ever part of.
I've joined the embedded system course ADEMS11. They'll be very nice to you initially until you pay 55k. That's huge amount. After that they don't care. No placements. Your 55k is gone. If you ask them about it they'll show that paper that you'll be filling while admission which says "placements not guaranteed".
Venky the CEO is the biggest bluff master. They are cheaters of highest level. They have no ideology. Looting is their job..

I suggest all who thought of joining this bogus institute to join VECTOR instead. That's best. I beg you please don't ruin career by joining to this fake institute.
Remember it's by my own experience I'm telling. If you are reading this, make sure you don't join and spread msg that others also do the same.

I have completed my training in Physical Designing from RV-VLSI Design Center. It was a Six month course. The course covered topics from basic to advanced level. For the first 2 months the focus is totally on learning the basic such as Digital electronics, Linux, Shell scripting, Verilog, Layouts etc. Last 4 months they focussed completely on PD and STA. Got the opportunity to work on tools such as ICC II and Prime Time.
After Completion of training, I got multiple opportunities from RV and finally got placed in Aura Semiconductor. I would like to thank each and every staff of RV VLSL for their constant support and encouragement.

I have joined backend physical design course in RV-VLSI. I think it's good initiative to start online classes amid COVID -19 instead of wasting time.

We have already covered digital electronics, linux, scripting classes as of now. It's good platform to learn. Now we have started learning verilog.

Faculty is giving us proper time and also taking our doubts one by one.

Morning, we have theory sessions and evening we have assignment discussion sessions. We have poll sessions also which help us to implement the concepts which we have learnt.

As per the management, we will have theory sessions now and we will get minimum 3 months of time in labs once lockdown will be lifted

I am having very good learning experience as of now!! Hope it will continue... Looking to learn more...
Thank you

RV-VLSI is a gateway for the career in VLSI domain.
I have joined RV-VLSI for backend course.
Due to this lockdown condition they have planned for an online interactive session. Initially I thought that online classes will not be that much effective but the classes conducted by RV-VLSI changed my perspective towards the online classes.
They are utilising the online platforms very effectively for teaching some of the basic concepts required and even the scripting which is very essential for an VLSI engineer.
Faculties are very cooperative and are helping us in constant learning even during this lockdown period.
They have well scheduled the online classes by providing time for both theory and practical sessions.
I am very thankful to RV-VLSI management for not wasting our time during this lockdown period.

Such a worst Institute and they are money minded people. They dont care about your project as well as placement. They just want money. Their faculty is too bad they never take responsibility of your project even they never ask how is your project going. Before starting i was very scared how these online classes would go ,but actually its very interesting and useful. Am not finding any difficulties in learning till now.,also these online experience will definitely help me in future.
All the faculties are very helpful, they keep the overall session interactive.
The best part of the training is assignments and polls which really helping me to build my concepts strong and am hoping it will continue till the end of the course. Working in core domain has been always my dream and i hope RV-VLSI is the only right place. thank you.

I was a student of B-12 batch, Advance diploma in Asic Design program conducted by RV-VLSI. The way concepts were taught and made to understand through the lab assignments were amazing. Working on lab assignments and preparing for the module tests helped me a lot to crack the job interview.

Hello Readers,

Hello Readers,
It s a feedback , but for you it s a suggestion, please read only if your money, time and future is valuable I will give few insights on the RV-VLSI for your better.
We entered into RV-VLSI for an admission on embedded course for my sister.

we spoke to the person who takes care of the admission the response was good, they built in trust saying that all the efforts of providing the good coaching and also the placement will be made, believing the same we took the admission
We heard that the institution was good, we asked the person about the placement for that they showed the count of their students who joined different companies but failed to ask them from which batch they are nor we contacted them for feedback.

Everyone knows that batch contains the combination of all kind of students:
Intelligent, slow learner etc at the initial the coaching was good, however on certain topics took time to understand as and when day passed started facing
Problems related to coaching:
No proper time spent on topics
finding it difficult to understand the topics
Rushing through the topics.
Asking to google on topics which was not understood etc

I (on behalf of my sister )wrote an email to the management saying they dint keep up our hopes and are not satisfied with the coaching, placement etc
I was called to meet the higher authority of the institution to discuss on the same, I met them on one Saturday to discuss on the problems hoping at least now it would get solved
But after a discussion for an hour or more I came to know that they wanted to prove that I am wrong and whatever they are doing is accurate and there are no problems of such.
They responded saying:
Student has a negative feeling.
They lack at personal development skills.
Student was absent for many topics.
Batch is not good etc...
We say them to refer google and get back to us for more information but they don t etc..

They started giving all reasons for every question that I had and every time I had a question back they started deviating from the topic.
With too much of force from students they have sent the students for one co. interview it s a vacancy which was not all related to the Couse they did.
Sad part is they dint even do any project there, dint learn the worth they paid.
We still follow up with them for placement, last time when I called asking for placement they said many have not returned the MSP board they are more worried about the equipment loss but not on the big money we paid nor on the student coaching They have also said we will be sending for placement along with present batch.

To do in your list:
Please collect the contact no. of last 2 batches and contact each person to take the required feedback.
Stick to what they have said during your admission and follow up with management to gain the same.
Your money is more valued please take the required knowledge and learn before you leave.
I would say it s not worth giving such a huge amount.
Please have your parents in loop to understand how things are going, let them meet the in charge over there to discuss on the progress.
Every student take the required feedback once in month to understand where you stand or else at the end they will blame you for everything saying personal skills, negative thoughts, absent.

I regret for the money that we paid and wasted to this institution. We literally lost money.
Eating money and giving nothing to students, institution will never get progressed until and unless they change, every penny that is paid by parents /students is earned through hard difficulty and there curse will pay the institution at the highest. time will teach..

RV-VLSI is a very good institute for experienced people who want to change their domain and get into VLSI industry. I had a very good experience during the whole duration of course. The course is designed very nicely considering the fact that practical knowledge is as important as the basics of any subject. The knowledge gained from this institute related to different topics of VLSI and hands on experience of industry standard tools provided a right direction to my career.
Thanks to all the faculty members and staff of RV-VLSI for their constant support and guidance.

Its a good institute for beginning your VLSI career. Having worked in software for an year after my B.E., I took some risk by leaving the job & put all my belief in RV-VLSI. After finishing the course, the knowledge that I obtained from the faculties of the institute and the efforts that I had put during the course duration helped me get a job in Lantiq Communications. My desired job started thereafter & now I'm growing happily in this field.

RV-VLSI provides you a platform to explore and learn VLSI like no other place. The knowledge on VLSI can be obtained from any media, but the practical exposure and skill required to meet industry standards are the areas concentrated at RV-VLSI. I'd done an ADAD Full-custom course here and indeed gave me exposure to the areas mentioned. I came across RV-VLSI through a friend's referral and now I consider it a privilege to be a part of this institute.

I thank all the faculty/mentors of RV-VLSI for the kind of exposure you have provided to me.

I finished the 6 month course in Physical Design at the RV VLSI Design Center. The 6 month course essentially comprises a full 2 months covering the basics of physical design concepts, and a 4 month hands on tenure. Basics covered as part of the course include Digital Design, CMOS, and Network Theory. The basics are followed by training in core topics including Static Time Analysis (STA); scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, and shell; implementation of PNR floorplan, including coverage of floorplan, powerplan, placement, clock tree synthesis, and routing; and an overview of the ASIC workflow. We are trained hands on with the latest and greatest industry standard tools, including Prime Time for STA and ICC-II for PNR. A basic coverage of concepts such as VHDL, Verilog, and full custom layout is also provided. The training material has been excellently prepared to aid understanding of concepts. Complete freedom of learning is provided to all participants of the course, and resources are provided aplenty for us to explore and expand the boundaries of our understanding. The labs are open through the day from 10 AM to 8 PM and the staff including Mr. Srinath are available and easily approachable if we have any doubts or queries whatsoever. In fact, the more we interact with him and the more right questions we ask, the greater our understanding is. While the placement prospects usually boil down to the performance of individual candidates, the institute provides ample opportunities and the who s-who of the industry are present for hiring.

I have completed my ADAD (Advanced Diploma in ASIC Design) in RV-VLSI, Batch-21. I liked the way their course is designed, it is more of practical than just theory. they have industry standard infrastructure like access to latest technology, high-end front-end and back-end tools from Synopsys, Mentor Graphics. they have the experienced staff to help you out throughout the course. when it comes to placement.... they don't guarantee any placement it depends openings in the industry, but they will try their best to give you opportunity.

I have completed (6+1) month course in RV-VLSI. I ...

I have completed (6+1) month course in RV-VLSI. I would say that`s one of the best decisions taken by me. So, it starts by a written test and an interview on basics and clearing them would allow you to get the admission for the 6 month course, which i didn't clear . So i had to take the 1 month course on basics so that i am prepared for the 6 month course . The 1 month course which was taken by kaushik sir is top class. He is one of the best teachers one would come across . So, after completing the course on basics we can directly join the 6 month course.
FIRSTLY, RV-VLSI IS NOT A JOB GIVING PLATFORM. Its a place where you will be given skill development on (PD,FC,RTL).The skills you learn during these 6 months will eventually make you ready to face an interview and get a job.The course comprises of 3 month basics and scripting languages and next 3 months hands-on experience on the tool. The materials provided by RV-VLSI during the course cannot be found even on the internet ,so utilizing them is necessary .The quality of standards RV-VLSI provides matches the industry ones. I got placed in a good semiconductor company, all thanks to RV-VLSI. After few weeks ,i joined my work i realized that what i`m doing here and what all i have during the 6 month course are same . So, I`m just learning more on the same concepts . So, finally i would like to thank all the staff in RV for everything. This wouldn`t be possible without all you people. SO IF YOU WANT TO GET TRAINED IN PD , I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU RV-VLSI.

RV-VLSI gives a platform to explore and learn VLSI like no other place. To have access and work on tools and learn concepts that is restricted to only industry in India, is like a privilege. I'd done an ADAD course(B-19) here and I've learnt a lot here both front end and back end (unlike many other institutes). The mentors are also very helpful and guide well.

Thank you RV for the kind of exposure you have given me.

I did my project in Backend design -VLSI here. Being a B.E student i was always interested in pursuing a Master's program in VLSI. When it comes to college, practical knowledge with respect to VLSI is limited. Here in RV-VLSI we get a hands on experience on the latest EDA design tools used in the industry and this has provided me the required launchpad for my career. I thank RV-VLSI for this opportunity.

Hii friends,I am student of B28-Physical Design.RV-VLSI is the best institute for Physical Design. It gives industry level training under the guidance of SRINATH Sir,The Knowledge they gave to the students is very good to get into the industry. One who works hard and gave his/her six months of time to learn and work on physical design flow they can keep 6 months of work experience. because of srinath sir guidance we completed the flow RTL to GDSII.
All won't get placed after six months you have to wait more 2-3 months to get placed.RV-VLSI gives the opportunity for everyone but you have to prove. To crack any interview just follow advise(smart answers) of venky sir.

So if you want job in core VLSI equation is very simple
VLSI JOB = Passion+Hard_work + RV-VLSI

If you are passionate about VLSI , Rv is the one you are looking for. An industry environment of learning, good faculty, industry preferred skills, infrastructure etc. I would say a great institution to start off your journey in VLSI!

"The best VLSI Institution in INDIA"

"The best VLSI Institution in INDIA"
I have completed my ADAD Back end Course(Physical Design) from Batch-35. Now I am placed in one of the biggest MNC.RV-VLSI is a place for the people who are dreaming about their carrier in VLSI domain. Before I Stepped into RV-VLSI my knowledge regarding VLSI and VLSI-Industry is very poor, but RV-VLSI "course structure is in such a way that we will get full knowledge from Front end to Back end".After completion of my course, I felt like the same teaching methodology should happen throughout in INDIA like as in RV-VLSI.
I just want to give highlights of course structure
1. Each and every student irrespective of their course they will get exposure from Front end to Back end (RTL Design, RTL Verification, Logic Synthesis, STA, Full custom, Physical Design, Physical Verification, and Fabrication).
2.Full Experienced faculty who are having decades of experience in Industries.
3.Hands-on Experience in the best Industry Standard Tools.
4. The best study materials, since those are written by Industry experts, These materials are accessible in RV-VLSI only.
5. The topmost and the best thing about RV-VLSI is it does not only support you in the technical side but also supports you throughout your Interview processes like how to build a good resume and some good interview tips.
6.RV-VLSI is a very well known and famous name in the VLSI industry, companies will frequently visit and conduct their placement drives.

So RV-VLSI is a place for the people who are passionate about learning knowledge in VLSI and for VLSI job seekers.

Thank you and Good luck.

I was a student of Batch 37 ADAD FC. The course helped me in more ways than I can count. The best thing about RV is that it helps inculcate the temperament of trying to find out answers on your own. Tools, circuits, analysis are still easier than having this particular tendency.

The environment is friendly yet professional. The course is extensive focussing not only on your chosen domain, but would also provide a bird's eye view of the entire flow.

The way to get the maximum out of the course is by asking a lot of questions, discussing as much as is possible, not just with your faculty but also with each other. I will reiterate do not expect spoon feeding.

Also, it is not some course for which you can study overnight and you would pass with flying colors. You need to put in the work, each and every day. There is a LOT to learn.

They would try to help you as much as they can. So even if you have a doubt in which course to take up, you can discuss what each course entails and other such details. Be thorough and exhaustive.

However it is important to note that they don't guarentee placement. Because no one can. What they can offer is providing you with the knowledge and skills that would get you a fair fighting chance in a competitive world.
