As a citizen of Middletown, this place is very amazing. The books don't seem to intrigue me too much, but any music discs over on the other end catch my attention. Some good selections in there, check it out!

This library has mostly everything, but the most important thing it has is a wonderful staff. They are always ready and willing to help you in whatever way you need. If they don't have the resource, book, or whatever that you are looking for, they will get it for you. More than once, the library has actually purchased a book just because I wanted to read it. And if you are a MIddletown resident, you get put higher on the "wait list" for a popular book than someone who is from out of town. Finally, it's just a great place to hang out in and read or just be in. I love it there!

Nice helpful staff but the odor in there is ridiculous. I had to hold breathe in order to complete work on their computers. I m not sure if the foul oder is coming from the ventilation system or carpet but something definitely needs to be done about this.

I had a really great experience with Denise in the Reference area and I can't say enough great things about how she helped me.
My family lived in Middletown many years ago and there was a tragedy that impacted them in the 1930s.. I just discovered that the local newspaper had written a big story about those events. The challenge for me was that I don't live nearby and would never have had a chance to get to the library to review the microfilm. Not a problem, since Denise was able to assist me through email. They have a really nice index of local newspaper articles which she helped me review to find several other articles about my family. Once we identified the articles, she scanned them and emailed back to me. Now my family has a written record of events from our history that no one knew about. Amazing service, thank you so much.

This is a wonderful resource for Middletown residents. The children's librarians always have spot-on suggestions for our kids. There are always plenty of recent release books available, plus lots of cds and dvds. Staff are uniformly helpful and courteous. I am never unable to find parking, so not sure why others complain about this.

The library staff at the resource desk are very helpful when seeking source information. The library is a comfortable place to read a book, an article or a magazine while drinking coffee. It is a great small library.

Excuse unedited grammar

This guy is harassing me please inform him of the policy of the library or inform me that I cannot use an empty study room for more than one hour. I do not understand the issue here.

I love the Russell Library. There are many reasons why, but one of the main ones is the Racial Justice Book Discussion Group. I have learned so much during the past year from the books we've read and the discussions we've had! My eyes have been opened to the ways that my behavior is sometimes part of a racist culture, despite my good intentions. This is the kind of program that every town needs if the U.S. is ever going to live up to its stated commitment to "liberty and justice for all."
