Nice cozy environment, great place to stay if you want to ski in Banff area
I just got back from spending 2 nights there with the gf for her birthday. We had a king suite with jacuzzi tub. The room was super clean and spacious. jacuzzi was awesome, especially with a few glasses of champers after a day snowboarding....
The bed...... oh my goodness, I wanted to take it home with me. So comfortable... pillows were just so soft and squishy...
We had some steak in the bumpers restaurant round the corner from the lobby, and wow.... that rib eye was to die for..... best steak I've had for a long while!
**compliments to the chef on 29 th March 2018!!! You know how to cook the steak proper!!**
Front desk staff were awesome and friendly with a good sense of humour....
All I'm saying is.... all in all our experience was AAAAAAAAA +
I need a loyalty card because I'll be going nowhere else but here in the future when I hit banff.
One of the cheaper places to stay at Banff with nice clean rooms. My kids also enjoy the swimming pool. The draw back is that it is away from the downtown core. But then Banff downtown is small. Walking to the core doesn't take long.
Eat dinner elsewhere. Worst steak I've ever eaten. Doesn't even measure up to Tad's Steakhouse in NYC.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Rachel, who serves in the Patrino Lounge was exceptionally friendly and helpful!
Terrible service. A rude staff ruin the trip. Dark and dated room, not like the picture. Dirty bathroom. Really bad experience, avoid this place.
Very cool rustic rocky mountain feel. Nice rooms, new furniture and carpets. Decent pool and hot tub, well equipped gym. Friendly staff. At the end of the strip but not bad in the summer for a walk.
Nice hotel, neat but not very hot but that can be due to the deep freez
We loved this hotel! Friendly staff, great bar, clean rooms and fabulous location.
We stayed for one night. Room was very small for 3 adults and 1 child. Staff was kind. I wouldn't eat at the hotels restaurant again. Very fancy very expensive very disgusting. Thanks for reading.
Spacious rooms, helpful staff, free WiFi, free underground heated parking
Bed was hard, and the restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming
Overall Experience was alright, but the fan in washroom was not working. Rest everything else was great price wise
Great lodge with views of Mount Rundle from your bed
When I come to Banff - I stay here (best one I've found)
Undreground Parking Lot, good food, pool, In banff and comfy beds..... my dream home.
Everything was really awesome, the staff were really nice and helpful too! Room was lovely (we had a loft king bed room with a fireplace) and very clean. We spilled latte on the sheets and they were super quick to come replace them. Only reason why it wasn t 5 stars is because it s a 15-20 mins walk from downtown banff, which in the winter is too far because it s so cold. Unfortunately the bus only runs every 40 mins and the taxi company runs a monopoly and charges ridiculous prices.
Clean rooms. Decent price for an older hotel. Good location
The room was clean but dated and dark. Due to old carpeting, etc. All in all, much too plush. The sink was in the room, unfortunately there was carpet underneath it. The staff in the restaurant were very courteous and friendly.
Absolutely terrible room. $300 per night! We look into the rooms in the building next door. They refused to move us yet the person checking in before us got a free upgrade. We booked in February for September to ensure a good room. They definitely lost any future business for us and our friends we tell this about. I wish there was a zero star rating.
Lovely quaint accommodation so close to town centre which was beautiful
Great place, very friendly staff and very clean. I really enjoyed the pool and the gym as well!
Absolutely loved my stay in this lodge -room was spacious, clean kitchenette, great view from the room, underground parking, friendly staff. The lodge is few blocks from Banff downtown and is well connected with the Roam public bus.
Our room, and service was great. Pool area should be cleaned way more often.
First time in Banff , nice place to bring your family
It was great. Everyone was nic3 and the jacuzzi was awesome.
A lovely quaint hotel about a 15 minute walk from the town center. Good pool and jacuzzi as well as a good restaurant
Descent size room, good wifi, convenient in building parking. A bit far from the actions, so it's a good hike in the summer and you probably want to drive to the town during winter
Friendly and helpful staff, location on end off the strip slightly further than main attractions. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and lodge are older but kept clean. Beds were very comfy.
View was great. People friendly and rooms are so clean too
The soundproofing of the hotel was not good. I heard the sound of closing the door and the room was quite spacious. Although the hotel facilities have spa pools, they are too small and often crowded, making them unusable. It takes a long time and is very disappointing.
the service is very good and the price, the location the food and the restaurant all is perfect on relation which the price
Basic hotel room for the "premium king room". The hotel is located at the start of Banff so you don't get a lot of the downtown noise. 20 minute walk to the other end of the town, so a lot of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was decent. Large portion sizes. Bathrooms in the rooms were poorly lit.
Quite a new building on the edge of town. But the facilities were very good and there are various transport stops out the front.
The staff behind the counter could not have been more helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was also excellent - simple, but very good value (don't bother with the hot option.)
Rooms were clean, restaurant service was great. Only thing lacking was service at the front desk.
Solid hotel, very casual atmosphere and clean rooms. Comfortable place to be
Loud humming day and night despite switching off the air conditioning. Room was under the roof. Very warm without air conditioning.
Front desk service is friendly and very helpful, the location is great if you don't mind a 15 min walk in to town, perfect for us as it is quiet. our room (double Queen) is massive, clean and so much more than we expected.
The restaurant, first night, was good...second night was not so great....and breakfast isn't all that.
Overall a great place to stay.
Nice experience with large room. Price is In high end. But its worth it.
Room #234. Is lovely.close to pool and fitness center. Have kitchen, dinning, 2 room in it. If you have big family, that's the room you need it.
Absolutely beautiful views of the mountains to the east and located at the quieter end of Banff Avenue! We arranged for an early check-in so we could take advantage of the jacuzzi tub and just chill out and relax. The room was pretty big with the lofted area where the jacuzzi tub was located. A private balcony overlooking Banff Avenue provided for a nice relaxing time to just unwind and take in the scenery. I would recommend The Rundlestone Lodge for any couples who are just looking for a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Rocky Mountains!!
Excellent hotel. Friendly staff. Good amenities and restaurant. Carpark onsite is great too. We usually try to stay here when we visit the Rockies.
Great location Great service Great accommodations Great restaurant Great clean
Just stayed here for my honeymoon. It was a lovely place to stay. The honeymoon suite is super spacious and beautiful, the jacuzzi was great, the fireplace was beautiful. Had a fully equipped kitchen which was super nice. We could just make dinner one night and not have to worry about going out. There was some confusion about what actually was happening with our room at first but they sorted everything out and gave us a lovely breakfast to make up for the hassle. The cleaning staff could have been a bit more through in their clean between new couples as they did leave a box that had explicit content in it at some point under a chair from the people before us. The heated underground parking was fantastic and they do have lockers for ski equipment if that's something you would like to use. The pool was clean and warm. All around had a lovely experience.
We are a couple in our twenties, we rrly liked this place. The rooms are big and clean.the hotel is calm. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown, made it very easy for us to shop and choose a place to eat.it is 10 min away from the gondolas and parking was included.very fait price and worth it
Rooms are decent. There's a pool and gym. Not much of a view however.
Such friendly staff! Got upgraded to a king suite thank you!
Our front desk guy was pretty cold when we checked in. Room was clean. Balconies are non smoking which we didn't know until check in. Not my favorite place in Banff to be honest
We stayed there for a night in the hot tub room which is small and overpriced but ok. We then went to go have a meal in the bar downstairs and the old, grumpy bartender was astoundingly rude to us! First we were ignored, then we were told to go elsewhere if we wanted better service. When we complained to the Front Office manager about this, Michael Hall, he defending his terrible staff and paid no attention to the horrible way we were treated or now that he has lost customers who stay in Banff all of the time but we will also tell friends and family to definitely steer clear from this hotel since they pay no mind to customer service or how to properly treat people. This manager obviously needs some class and obviously needs some proper manners. Your managers at this hotel should all get fired and start new so that maybe you can have qualified staff working here. This hotel is not nice enough for people to put up with this unprofessional behaviour.
Amazingly friendly staff, comfortable beds, nice pool and hot tub, the lofted hotel room was spacious and fun, fireplace in the room was cozy, and a short walk to all the shops in downtown Banff.
Window beside the bed allowed a lot of cold air through. Heater was aimed directly at the bed and every time it turned on it would first blow cold air on you. so it was constant waves of super heat and super cold. Made me wake up constantly throughout the night and I was sick the next day. Ended up making a wall with things around the room(pillow, blanket). But otherwise it was nice
Consistent in service, cleanliness. A little dated though in some respects. Still a very enjoyable experience overall.
Clean comfortable room. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Plenty of parking. Decor a bit tired though.
Good location on main street. 5-10 minutes walk to messing shopping areas.
Hotel was clean and quite, kids loved the pool. Customer service was pleasant and quick.
Nice clean rooms. A little far away from the main strip but secluded from the parties.
Lovely hotel. Small pool. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Although originally pleasant, our stay was dampened by the unpleasant management and poor customer service. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly in response to a valid question. Management took our deposit on the room, and laughed when we asked why. Not only did they tell us that their policies allowed them to do as they please, in response to asking why other hotels did not have the same policies they told us that next time we can stay somewhere else as they don t need our business. Over one frivolous thing, the Rundlestone Lodge has left an unpleasant memory of what was supposed to be a family trip. Disgusting.
Two nights spent here. Great hotel, good food, everything was right.
Rundlestone Lodge is the best place to stay when visiting Banff!! After finding this hotel we are now regular guests there and will never stay anywhere else when we visit Banff!
The management and staff are friendly and welcoming and they make sure that every part of your stay is enjoyable and relaxing. The level of service, food and cleanliness/comfort of the rooms is outstanding and they go above and beyond every time to make sure you have everything you need for your stay.
I would definitely recommend Rundlestone Lodge as the no.1 hotel in Banff! Check them out you won t be disappointed!
Comfy, spacious and reasonably priced, we loved our stay here. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in suggesting good places to eat and rent ski equipment, even setting us up with a discount. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed there this week for 2 nights. The front staff were fantastic, informative and super friendly during phone calls as well as in person! This was my 2nd time staying here and the first visit was equally as professional and friendly. The rooms (semi sleeper and the loft) are fabulous, comfortable and very quiet. Highly recommended! Will definitely stay again.
amazing experience! couple of hiccups at the beginning with a bit of hair in the jacuzzi tub.... but they were more than apologetic and very quickly had someone at the door to correct the problem! very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk!
would stay here again anytime!!!
Very nice and well maintained could be a little nicer staff.
Rooms are spacious and staff are friendly. There is underground parking, a laundry room and a small gym with pool and hot tub.
Great value very nice little Lounge and walking distance to downtown
Room is awesome, restaurant can use some improvement
Staff were super friendly, clean rooms, lounge was good also, would be nice to be open later during the weekend though
Great family, friendly place. Rooms are nice clean and decent size. Super friendly staff. Had a great stay
We arrived and paid for our room (350.00). We went to the room and it was obviously not clean (hair on bathroom toilet and in tub. Dust and not vacuumed) then we called front desk and told them that this was unacceptable and not worth the 350.00. They moved us to a room on the 2nd floor and ensured us it would be in great shape. I said, and if its not then what? We went down and it was in the same condition. The front desk lady stated that her housekeeper went and checked the existing room and that it was up ti their standards. I said that i worked in the industry previously and this is not up to even super 8 standards. They told me they didnt want me to stay because of my attitude and asked that i leave and refunded me.
The room was great and staff was super friendly location was only 10 minute walk from the main drag
Great accommodations. Rented the jaccuzi suite and it was very clean and roomy. Just like the picture shows with the jacuzzi tub being in the bathroom with a large opening in the wall looking into the bedroom / living area. Small parkcade can't fit taller trucks but they have parking out back that is well lit and out in the open by the park next door. Highly recommended.
Your paying for the location not the room. The first thing I noticed was the furniture was below the average quality of similarly priced hotels (that I've been to). That set the tone for the whole experience, "below average, but not bad". It does have a very nice pool and hot tub though, and the beds were comfortable. I stayed for 2 nights in the corner room/family suite. Room 234.
Great reasonably priced hotel on the outskirts of Banff.
Nice rooms with great staff and good restaurant and bar.
Good indoor pool and hot tub, well you have to don't you
15 minute walk from all the tourist stuff in downtown Banff or a 3 minute bus ride.
Short cab ride to the Rocky Mountaineer rail station.
It was great. It was also paid for by someone else so...
