This place is truly a classic. We've been coming here for years! The food is good and they have their own parking lot adjacent to the restaurant which is great considering it can get pretty busy during the summer months. The staff has always been courteous and friendly. Bathrooms are clean and the kids love the decor and the little car that goes around the track close to the ceiling. Yummy burgers, shakes, and fires.... Yes please!

It was Fun, very good food.
Healthy servings.
Excellent service.
Had a wonderful server, I can not remember his name but he was incredibly on it.
And he spoke Spanish, I liked that also.
Thank you.

Love this wonderful neighborhood Ruby's! I've been going here for years and the staff is warm and friendly and, like "Cheers", always remember your name! Oh yes, and the food is great too!

My husband and I visit this restaurant every year when we take our yearly weekend trip to Newport Beach. The service is always excellent, the food and shakes are amazing, and there's never any wait for either table, drinks, or food. We call it our secret spot and have told friends about it. They always visit and rave about also!

I m so happy that Ruby s has a meatless burger!! The Impossible Burger (a plant based 20g protein meat substitute) was delicious! I had my friend try it and they agreed it tasted just like meat! I made my burger 100% vegan by choosing to have it lettuce wrapped, no cheese and no Rubysauce. I don t know if the bun is vegan, but I chose lettuce wrapped anyway as a personal preference. I definitely recommend the impossible burger to everyone, plant based or not!

The place is nice and 60th but the Hamburger had no taste, few sauce (lost) inside, only the yellow mustard and ketchup proposed, the french fries had no good taste too. for 15 bucks, I missed Mc Donald and In'n Out.

Awesome food, typically great service, and THE BEST SHAKES!!
We have a tradition to visit here when we are on vacation, and this location is in fun part of town. They can accommodate large parties 6-10 pretty easily, as well as having smaller booths for parties of 1-2.

Husband's pancakes were cold and rubbery. Bacon ordered crispy but cold and rubbery. Eggs undercooked and also cold.
My California Eggs Benedict had eggs like hard boiled, soggy English muffin and cold. Beignets served with very little powdered sugar, but were hot and delicious after added additional sugar. Don't think we would ever go back just for beignets.

so so

Exceptional service in vintage-style diner. The food is good, as long as you are expecting diner food. Go here when you're looking for a little grease; not when you want health food. They did a great job with my basted eggs, which frankly fancy restaurants can't always get right. Alfredo is a great server.

Imelda was working the front counter when I came in. I just ordered some fries to-go, but she gave me a classic diner experience and we had a great conversation. she made sure the kitchen prepared my dish quickly because she knew I was trying to be quick. it was a wonderful time. i hope her manager sees this and commends her. thank you Imelda and ruby's!

The food was good. But I felt I was at a Jack in the Box. The servers were nice but it has the feel of a fast food place. Not that was bad. But how pays 25.00 dollars with a 20% tip at a jack in the Box?

Ruby's Diner is an American sit-down restaurant specializing in burgers, but they also serve breakfast, have some dinner entrees, salads, sandwiches, and shakes and malts.

The Ruby's in Corona del Mar is well managed and the staff are always polite and helpful. The restaurant is clean and has ample seating, though be prepared for a wait during the lunch rush, especially during the school summer recess.

They are very kid friendly, with a special kid's menu and assemble-yourself cardboard classic cars for the kids to play with.

The burgers come with unlimited french fry refills, and seasoned fries and alternatives to fries (like cottage cheese) are available.

Soft drinks are Coca Cola products, and they'll add flavor shots (cherry, vanilla, lemon, or chocolate) at your request.

My dinner was terrible. I ordered a patty melt but they only gave me a tiny burger on greasy rye with no grilled onions or cheese. The Fries were like rubber. I called to tell them and nobody even offered to make it right next time I order takeout. I am Not sure if I ever will though. Have to say my mocha malt was delicious so I had that for dinner instead. It is not like the prices are low either. Pretty disappointed

I love to have a very good and delicious meal here. There's so many options to choose from. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast are really good. A good place to have a Burger and fries, salad or soups, onion rings, Chicken diners Great Fish and Chips. The staff is always happy and friendly. They have a lot of Deserts hot Tea and Coffee or awesome Shakes. There's Handicapped parking and access and table seating, public restrooms and a fun and cool place to bring your family and friends. It's not to expensive to eat here.

I had an outstanding holiday turkey burger with cranberry sauce, stuffing, Swiss cheese, good size, very delicious, with nice crisp fries. I am pleased to recommend the Corona del Mar Ruby's.

For some reason my mom is obsessed with Ruby's and always wants to go there for lunch when we get together with my sister and her kids. We've been to a number of other Ruby's locations and this one is one of the older and smaller ones. Their lot was already full when we got there so we had to find parking on the street, but luckily it wasn't too far away. We also had a hard time finding seating big enough for handle 4 adults and 2 kids. There was already a party occupying the one area where they could push a couple of tables together, so we opted to sit in 2 adjacent booths, which wasn't ideal but we didn't have to wait. Ruby's in general is a good place for kids--they have those paper cars to assemble, coloring sheets, lots of kid-friendly items on the menu and those gumball machines when they're done eating and invariably want to roam around the joint. I wasn't terribly hungry so I just ordered a Cobb Salad but boy did I regret it. It was one of the worst Cobbs I've had, just basically some shredded (not chopped) iceberg lettuce with deli turkey meat, bacon, avocado and olives piled on top (no egg!). It was pretty meh; I should've just ordered a burger--those are usually decent. That's what I get for trying to order "light", ugh. Everyone else was happy with their meals, though, and my mom and the kids had a good time so while that was good I think I'd rather go to their location on 2nd St in Long Beach next time; I've had much better experiences there.

We really enjoyed the food. Our daughters had a double fudge brownie sundae, and it was big enough for the two of them to share. My husband and I had malts which we enjoyed. Our waitress was very kind and checked on us regularly. The other wait staff checked in also. It was a nice stop in our vacation to California. I highly recommend!
