Had my first impossible burger and take out lunch with family for my Birthday at the beach......wonderfull food and nice employees. A bit pricey but worth it

I love where this Ruby's is located, the quickness of the service, how everyone is friendly and the food is always up to Ruby's standard. The last time my wife and I went we shared a milkshake and both ordered the Cobb salad burger. It's bomb and you should order it too.

They serve the best milk shakes on the planet. Old school diner so food is what you would expect from a diner.

The only bad thing about Ruby's is that they aren't everywhere. Amazing food, great atmosphere, outstanding vegetarian options. The cinnamon roll French toast is decadent.

Fast early AM on a sunday. Parking lot is small/tight space.

The food was exceptionally good! I hadn t had it in 5 years! I had the super burger and the taste was so yummy. Some of the service was a bit slower, but it was reasonably busy during lunchtime. The staff didn t forget any of our requests and they were respectful.

Good friendly restaurant. Kids friendly menu and build a classic car is always fun for the family. Food is excellent and mikeshake is a crowd pleaser.

This is enjoyable. People are sweet and food is delicious! Would come again!

Love this 50s diner! Yummy food (burgers and such) and DELICIOUS shakes! My kids love watch the cars drive on the track (unfortunately only one was working). Grew up coming here and will continue to come!

Cheap great dinner, love going here after a long day

Ruby's is a nostalgic '40s-style diner. As such, their mainstay is hamburgers and superb milkshakes, of course, but they also have a variety of other items to offer. I had "breakfast food" at dinnertime! (I had corned beef hash and eggs. Very tasty!) My wife ordered the seafood combo, which she loved--and there was enough food for her to take home for another meal later! For dessert, my wife ordered a banana milkshake, which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make one on special order. Getting food custom-made to your specifications seems to be such a rarity these days. I have only one gripe: the server somehow managed to charge our cards twice--once for the amount without tip, and again for the full amount with tip. A quick call to the management the following day produced an apology and a promise to reverse the extra charge. In order to prevent this happening to you, I would recommend marking $0.00 in the blank on the ticket for "tip," then giving the server an old fashioned cash tip. This one mistake was unfortunate, but, in view of the management's promise to fix it, I'd say this is not a deal breaker. In all, a fun and delicious place to go.

Terrible service, if it wasnt for the manager we would have gotten nothing.

Both the food and service are wonderful and family friendly. Our 5 year old loved playing with the car they brought him and our 15 year old and 16 year old were delighted by the shakes. Grandma said it reminded her of the old diners she grew up with. My husband and I were able to find menu items that worked with out keto diets, too! We'll definitely stop here again.

Ruby's does not disappoint. Chain this is, but always got a good breakfast.

Great service always with a smile! Very tasty "comfort" food, and flavor more like homemade rather than 'chain restaurant' food.. Good selection of healthy choices too. Reasonable prices, especially for Newport Beach vicinity.

Very good taste, good location and the place is well preserved, but the bathrooms are, they smell very bad.

Great start to our holiday. Staying at the Hyatt with breakfast here just 5 mins drive with on site parking. Can't go wrong!

The food was absolutely delicious, but the outfits they make the women workers wear is despicable. They have them wear very short skirts.

If you love 50's style eating you will love Ruby's. Hamburgers are mouthwatering but the shakes are the best. Try the one on the PCH, outside dining overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

This is a top-notch Ruby's. Very clean, great service, \and family friendly. Everytime we have been there, they have had a balloon guy to make special balloons for our kids...great place!

Clean restaurant, good food and friendly service. Grab some yummy food and head to the beach! Can't beat that!

Ordered the fried calamari cone and it was 95% cabbage for $10! What a rip off.
