Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Review

Had a good experience. Nice view of the inner harbor. Good food, nice service.

Stayed here for one night and was apart of a large group that purchased 19 rooms. Our Exec team booked these rooms over 4 months in advance and yet when we arrived our rooms were not ready! We arrived around 4pm and I myself did not get into my room until after 6. I find that completely unacceptable.

The front desk attendant had a bellman tag our bags and place them in storage but when trying to retrieve them when our rooms were finally ready she did not seem willing to assist as that was most likely not in her job description. I would hope that after guests were inconvenienced this much the staff would do their best to make their stay a positive one.

The assistant manager also proceeded to give us the option to go to the hotel bar, ,pool and etc while we waited for our rooms to be ready. I found this ridiculous as these amenities would already be included if our rooms were ready when they were suppose to be. I don't understand how you would think to recommend your inconvenienced guests to then patronage your hotel bar with no discount etc.

I will never stay here again and will be sure to tell my colleagues, friends and family the same.

Very nice hotel, we only stayed two days but never got new towels and dont think anyone came in to clean when we were gone.

Elegant ballrooms provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and special gatherings.
The food catered there, however, was a disappointment. The servers were good, so no issue with service. The quality of food was good and looked great on the catering menus, but all tasted very bland raising questions about the talents in the kitchen. Does Sonesta employ real Chefs? ...probably not...regular cooks?...maybe. Experienced foodies know the difference. When venues charge a lot, patrons expect a lot...too much competition in downtown Baltimore committed to culinary excellence for the bland food we experienced there...

Very nice hotel. Staff was great and rooms were clean. Price of breakfast and dinner at the hotel is expensive. We ended up getting dinner free because they were i your room facing the inner harbor. Got to watch the sunset over the harbor, amazing! The hotel had plenty of rooms and space even if they had alot of people there it didnt feel like it. They have a nice 5ft pool and hot tub. They have a relaxing outdoor area on the roof that make it feel like youre still on the ground. (Trees, grass, benches, tennis court) this hotel is directly across the street from inner harbor and all kind stores. Ripleys believe it or not, cheesecake factory, it's Sugar( candy store) bumba gump shrimp and many more places in walking distance. I find it perfect because parking in the area can be expensive so walking is ideal.

My husband and our came here for a local vacation. Everything was wonderful. Our only issue was our reservation was last minute so we couldnt get the room we wanted but we will definitely be planning ahead the next time!

Very pleased with my accommodation as well as staff. Had two rooms..one a small suite and the other a standard room. The suite was quite nice and had a beautiful view of the harbor. The bathroom was spectacular with a shower and a separate tub that was super sized. The standard room was quite nice, comfortable and well appointed. Doormen and bell staff were particularly helpful. Front desk was ok but failed to contact me when room was ready on check in day. Breakfast in the dining room was very good and served with a smile. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was fully renovated with a great view of the harbor and the hotel is within walking distance of all the action.

The room was large, clean, and updated. I had an 7th floor inner room so The view was a weird courtyard and The tops of The harbor buildings. The beds were comfortable. Tub was huge. Location was great though parking is costly and the reason for the 4 stars. The hotel could use some updating. The gold and brass fixtures are a bit dated. The hallway of art was awesome.
The staff was the best though. From check in to check out everyone we encountered was great. I will defiantly stay here again.

Was there for work event. Hotel was great. Nice room good food and great staff.

I went to use their parking garage for the science center. When returning, the card machine was all messed up and not accepting cards, so we had to transfer to a different machine. Then when trying to leave, the gate wouldn't accept the ticket. It was all broken and annoying. I was able to buzz for help and get let out, but it was just more of a hassle than i wanted, just to leave a garage.

It was a great hotel with lots of amenities. There was a pool, racquetball, gym, and others. It is also very close to the harbor and city. The reason I gave it a 4 is because the view out of some of the windows is a courtyard and isn't a great view and the water in the room was 6 dollars. Otherwise a pretty good hotel.

This was the parking garage that I used to go to the Maryland Science Center. It was very accessible and very safe. I would definitely use this for parking when I go to the harbor or the Science Center.

Hotel service was great, the restaurant wait staff that served my group at dinner one night was quite rude, messed up orders and generally did not care to ask us how everything was.

The hotel is beautifulall around and exudes class. The staff are really service oriented and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The place is pricey, but in this case you certainly get what you pay for. Unlike most hotel bars, I'd go back to the Explorers Lounge just for fun. If you stay here, you won't regret it.

Excellent hotel. Great view of the harbor. Accessible to a lot of places in the harbor. Night view is absolutely beautiful

I had a reservation for a King size bed, they tried to put me into a room with two queen beds. I had this same issue with the Sonesta in Ft Lauderdale.

Rooms are spacious and updated. Serves a nice big buffet for a reasonable price. It is very close to the inner habor. A great place to stay if you go to an Orioles game its around the corner. A nice trail along the Chesapeake Bay right across the street.

Great location, rates and excellent staff! Highly recommend this property.

If you are staying here, I would opt for the harbor view, it is simply amazing, especially at night and sunrise! The hotel was clean, with the elegant decor to enhance the features. The bed was very comfortable, and the layout of the room was ideal with plenty of seating. The staff were nice and professional, it was a plus to have them address me by name instantly when I called to check on my room service, it proves that they have a good organizational system in place. The room breakfast service was easy to plan the evening before, and the actual service was fabulous with the server coming into the room and setting us up quickly with grace. The food was pretty tasty, it did not disappoint. Location is ideal walking distance to the harbor. 24hour parking was available in a connecting parking garage, you do have to pay separately for that, but it was convenient location wise. <br/>Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, and stay again!

Attended a great wedding reception here, very attentive staff.

The building is quite pleasant, and the staff is friendly. However there were several carts of dishes that remained in the halls throughout my 3 day stay.

Polished Hotel? I'd disagree. A limited number of electrical outlets, the only one near the desk is underneath near the floor. My sink wouldn't plug and my bathtub would drain very, very slowly. There was something that had run down the inside of the elevator door that never got cleaned.

However, the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the coffee shop reasonably priced.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and that s the only reason I have to give the hotel 3 stars. However, the cleanliness of the rooms can be better. We had a suite and it was a big ball of hair in the middle of the floor. Plus, the room was dusty. Just looking around the room, I noticed water stains and areas where maintenance/management should be renovating the rooms.

The hotel is a little older, but overall very nice. Big rooms and clean.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The front desk staff were super nice and welcoming. The room was clean, spotless clean. The views were fantastic and it was super easy to walk across the street to the harbor. The only thing is, it is easy to drive right by the entrance to the hotel. If it was well marked, I missed it because we drove by it once trying to find the entrance. I highly recommend paying for valet. It is well worth it. The valet staff were super nice too. I would stay here again without hesitation and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a nicer place to stay in the city. I've attached pictures of my room and views from my room. 5 stars!

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and the Bathroom seemed recently updated as the tiles and fixtures were very clean unlike at so many hotels. Staff was very friendly. Only contact we had was being handed the room key everything else was contactless. No worries about Covid at all. We did stay Sun-Monday so it was not crowded and very quiet.

Highly recommend..hotel is gorgeous. Exceptional service. Great view of the entire city

Love the Salt Water Pool and Whirlpool. It's why I joined and has helped my back problems.

Lovely hotel, and if you hunt you can find excellent deals here. Parking was pricy but we had expected that downtown. Room service was exactly what our family needed after a long day in the car, and the breakfast wow! I can safely (and unexpectedly) say the best huevos rancheros I ve ever had!

Exquisitely designed and decorated hotel with excellent views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

Charged a $250 clean up fee for a 'wine stain on carpet'. We didn't have any wine in our room.

Nice accommodations. Some of the common areas could definitely use some tlc. Would stay again.

Absolutely amazing. ALL of the staff were very friendly and made you feel like you were someone special. We had a Harbor View suite and it was gorgeous. I originally booked a city View King room but when I had mentioned it was our 1 year anniversary they went above and beyond and comped us an upgrade to a Harbor View Suite that is what customer service is all about. Royal Sonesta now has some more loyal customers who will return again.

We were only there for one night, but we enjoyed it very much. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. Our room was perfect, clean and comfortable with a great view. We ran into Amy Muller your Sales Manager and she was so nice and welcoming.

Only used the parking garage. It was a parking garage and provided all the things one would want like lines and a roof.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, gorgeous harbor view, super comfortable beds, nice strong water pressure in the shower, sparkling clean everywhere. The valet was very helpful and all the staff were professional and nice. Good value too.

After reading reviews we were looking forward to our upcoming trip and I must say after arrival I was thoroughly disappointed. We stayed in the Ambassador Suite for one night and well the hotel is older the room was beautiful and clean, however many sockets and light switches in the room didn t work, in the bathroom particularly there was one that would flicker off right after switching it on.
The bar and lounge seemed appealing so we decided to dine there for the evening, quickly to realize there was one staff member that was bar tending and serving tables with food, surprising for the amount of guests present. We decided to go elsewhere for the simple fact the poor man was clearly doing his best and we didn t want to add an extra amount of burden.
The pool was pleasant minus the fact there is no fans or windows circulating air. The key card was not working for entry into the area and there were exposed extension cords, plugged into power outlets directly pool side with children walking all around them soaking wet!
2 stars for the great staff, otherwise, surprisingly disappointed.
Also, read a previous response from the owner from 4 days ago stating self park is $26, I most definitely paid more than that, through the front desk at your hotel.

Hotel Royal Sonesta is in a great location. You can walk to all the restaraunts stores and attractions in 5minutes. It is richly decorated and very clean. The few staff members we were in contact with were very friendly and helpful. However they are a bit pricey. I would rather stay a little further away and use the money I saved on shopping.....much better use

Comfortable room, great location for exploring and a friendly staff. We bought their aquarium package and it was a great deal!

With oversized rooms the hotel borders on posh. Although there is no in room minibar they make up for it with plush towels, great bath accessories and comfy robes. I recommend in room dining.

The reason I'm gave them 5 stars is because everything was great. I'm going to recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

NO vending machine to get even a soda from
No microwave in the room to warm up leftovers from the over priced restaurants in the area
And no complimentary breakfast
This place was just not fun

It is AMAZING!!! They have room service, a swim pool,a coffee shop near by,and a coffee machine in the room, so no money spent!!

Michelle was an amazing hostess. The room was beautiful and larger than I could have imagined with a beautiful view of the Baltimore waterfront. Close to the convention center, within walking distance. I will definitely stay here if I return to Baltimore.

The bed was brutal - rock-hard, and very high off the ground. Which isn't that big of a deal unless you're lifting a disabled spouse into the bed, in which case it is extremely difficult. And the roll-on shower had a terrible half-length curtain that allowed water to leak all over the bathroom floor despite our best efforts at being careful. It's a lovely hotel with a very helpful staff, otherwise.
