This was the best way to see the lakes and have some fun adventure. The family loved it. Many thanks to Nick, our driver and tour guide. Totally awesome.

The best...highly recommend with great operators and tour guides. The Ducks are a marvel in themselves

Fantastic experience. Knew the area very well, visited on numerous occasions by car. Knew a lot of the history, but was very interested in a very detailed additional information. Shelley our guide was one in a million. Been on a lot of guided trips. Never experienced such a hilarious and very amusing guide. She was also a very good and careful driver.

I love duck tours. I've honestly been on an embarrassing number of them for an otherwise normal 21-year-old. And I can safely say this was the best one I've ever gone on. Great blend of history, humor, and local color delivered over the only decent sound system I've ever experienced in a duck.

Highly recommend this tour. The guide was incredibly knowledgable and fun. Very pleasant tour and a great way to experience the beautiful lakes in Rotorua.

Very enjoyable ride, our guide was informative, funny and friendly.

Bad weather didnt stop marcus making the tour fun and informative(even with the dad jokes)the price sounds abit o.t.t but once ur going its will worth it , all staff were friendly abd smiled whice alot of places forget about these days! All and all for adults and kids its a great way to spend a couple of hours , keep it up guys . Really great job by all.

We had a fantastic time on the Duck Tours. The driver was extremely entertaining and had the entire busload of passengers laughing and participating for the entire tour. Best money we have spent on entertainment for a long time.

even though the weather today was a little dreary, we got a beautiful scenic tour conplete with a rainbow and the tour on the duckwas awesome. Our guide Nick was a great bunch of laughs even with his few awkward dad jokes he threw in there! it was really cool how even though the kids are on school holidays they still got an excellent educational and fun experience! they couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. Thanks Nick and front desk team for organising our wonderful afternoon!

A great experience on this unique 75 year old duck truck with an up to date, humorous and informative continuous commentary by the fabulous Shawn. Our group of 28 and 13 all enjoyed this experience last Saturday in perfect weather conditions. Totally recommend for all ages groups as money well spent for a fun filled informative couple of hours touring around Rotorua and onto a couple of local well known lakes, Blue Lake (Tikitapu) and Lake Okataina.

The duck tour driver was funny, knowledgeable and a good driver, even in water. It was a pleasant tour of the lake especially on a hot day. The driver knew his facts on volcanoes and the area around.
I definitely recommend this tour. The people at the office were friendly and the environment quite nice.

We had Marcus as a tour guide and he was a blast. Lots of history, legends, jokes and facts all mixed into a fun tour.

Sean was the best guide I've ever had, he had great area knowledge. He has a great personality and quite funny and really made the trip come alive.
I would highly recommend this tour its worth every cent.

Awesome tour, funny and entertaining guide, and my kids got to drive the amphibious truck on the blue lake. A highlight of the holiday.

A great way to get a different perspective on tge city with some conservation knowledge

Very scenic but could barely hear Shelly speak when the duck was going up hills (made the experience somewhat dull), please consider installing speakers so passengers at the back can hear.

Sean(?) was great full of info of area and some quite dreadful jokes!..and we all got to drive/sail once in the lake....quack, quack

Amazing experience but the lake ride a bit too short

The tour is a great introduction to the area... the history, mythology and the spectacular geology of the mid land of the north island . Rod the guide was highly entertaining and informative and went out of his way to make the 2 hours a brilliant experience. This place, Rotorua, is jaw droppingly inspiring.

A beautiful experience in travelling by road and in the beautiful lakes in an amphibian vehicle. Become a child while blowing the squak of a duck by a whistle the tour guide provides.

A must to do if your on holiday, a hassle free way of sight seeing on land and water, our guide was Shaun- abit of a joker which added to the whole experience, grandkids loved it

It's an unique experience. My husband and I had a four lakes tour. Although we couldn't go the blue lake but we still had a fun time.
The tour starts in front of its office on Fenton Street.

Wonderful experience with a funny driver who took us to the amazing around three lakes. My son had his 7th(17) birthday we are so lucky to have a great captain(shelly moana) to entertain us..u truly made da trip awsum.it was an memorable moment for us being riding with you... ..You must definitely try this without ny regret...

Fantastic. We have taken a tour for 2 hours. It the best tour so far. Very friendly and professional staff. My kids and father keep talking about the tour and very funny lady driver and tour guide. We enjoyed it.

I called and asked to go on the lake tour was booked in for the morning. The lady ended up booking us for the city and part lake tour I was not really happy as I have seen the city and wanted photos of Lake Tarawera. To me it was just average. Great host funny etc but not seen much exciting things at all we didn't venture too far into the lake either so I didn't get much good shots

Marcus the driver gave an hilarious commentary (maybe well rehearsed but entertaining). We needed all the layers of clothes they advise to wear on this winter day and made use of the blankets onboard. Awesome to be out on the lake floating along with the sides up on the DUKW, no wind and light mist falling, gave an eerie feeling to the historical stories of the area. The time went so quickly, and young and old enjoyed blowing the duck call toys handed out by the driver.

Even though the weather wasn't that great it was still so much fun. Very enjoyable and entertaining.

I loved our tour guide she was fun and shared tones of info. The tour itself is good but not amazing since you basically go around a town and in lake. Not as adventurous and scenery as I thought, but fun for kids for sure and can do in rainy days as well. I do recommend to friends for trying once. Thanks Shelly for being so bubbly and fun :)

What an amazing experience! Not only was it an awesome tour, we had an amazing comedian of a tour guide named Marc or Marcus who made it that much enjoyable! My 8 year old niece even pointed out how funny his jokes were which says a lot! The tour was great, learnt a lot of new information and a bonus the bus was in laughter, he is obviously very good at his job and it shows. We were a family of 4, two adults, two kids. Was a little cold so most definitely pack warm clothing but apart from that what an experience. Highly highly recommended if your in Rotorua. Well worth your $$$$

It s boring, especially when the curtains on both sides of the rain are put down, it s a gray one in a small car. Most of the time on land, the lecturer was very humorous when explaining history and geography, but it was in English. If the child doesn't like it, half of it will scream.

One of the best attractions in Rotorua. Great commentary from the driver. Very enjoyable for the kids.

Takes you on a tour of the city the lakes accompanied by a full commentary staff will always be on hand to assist in any problems that you have.

Highly recommended. Shelley our guide was entertaining a real asset, representing her company well - hilariously funny with good factual educational information delivered in a humorous way. She is especially great with the children and such a sport! Fun family activity.

I've been for duck tours in other cities, and this one was better in that we went in and out of several lakes, so we saw a greater variety than usual. The guide was great fun and also knowledgeable about the area and the duck itself, which was somewhat historic as it dated from World War 2.

Very expensive for something we didn't enjoy at all, very disappointed, would not recommend.

The tour was supposed to be 90 minutes and ended up being 2 hours of constant loudspeaker talking. After listening to the tour guide for 2 minutes I was ready to get off. Really annoying. All we wanted to do was experience the bus becoming a boat.... What an anticlimax. Very boring tour.

What can I say about Rotorua Duck Tours? It was an amazing experience and we will be going back to do the longer tour out to Mt Tarawera. The drive was fun, the water was amazing and views were spectacular. There was just so much to see and Marcus had the best commentary of any tour I have done while travelling.

If you have time time you need to do this. New Zealand s only genuine WW2 amphibious landing craft was hands down a highlight of Rotorua.
If you don't have time for it, Make time! It is well worth it.
