Shelley Moana (Shelley Ocean) was friendly, professional and provided a humorous historical insight into the history of the Duck, the history of the people and the local community. She gave us wonderful commentary and made us feel a part of the stories she told. Her music was fantastic and fit the dramatic moments perfectly which made the ride even better. I felt safe in her driving and skippering abilities, she came across as if she had been doing this for a very long time and provided the safety talks fully. My husband and I walked the Milford Track earlier this year, and met an Australian lass who was hoping to have stories shared by the wardens about Maori history and it was sorely lacking in stories but maybe this was due to fact of the South Island history. Your company provided so much more, and Shelley Moana is a definite asset to your team and to New Zealand. Keep up the great work!

Great way to see the area and lakes. Entertaining commentary from the driver who is obviously passionate about the area and the history of the vehicle. Highly recommend especially for anyone that likes old military vehicles.

The duck tour is a must-do attraction when visiting Rotorua. Everything about it was impressive; the views, the tid-bits of history and legends that the knowledgable drivers provide, the humor and charm of the drivers (and the drivers good looks! LOL)! and of course there is the novelty of the Duck itself - I'm no automotive whiz but still found the amphibious WWII relic is something to be appreciated for sure. I would recommend Duck Tours to any Rotorua visitor (or local even!) and i make a point of taking all our family visitors on the duck when they come to visit us in rotorua. and noone is ever disappointed! we just love it. oh and its a big hit with kids, for sure, make sure you get a duck whistle!

This is a great, and a "MUST Do, experience. A privately owned operation by Trevor, it is an icon in Rotorua Trevor runs a professional operation. As an experienced NZ Tour Guide, I only recommend those activities I know my groups will like. This is one.
Marcus was our Driver. He was great. Knowledgeable, informative, and had humour when appropriate.
Other drivers are Shelly and Sean. They are equally as great.
A WW 11 landing craft, you drive into the lakes. A unique experience you won't forget.
My advice, is "DO it". You won't regret it. ENJOY.

Good fun. My 4 year old just found the pamphlet for it and said "you drive all around, smell the smelly stuff, go in the water and you get a girl with green hair" hahaha yes honey you do

A fun tour. The scenery was wonderful. It was amazing to move from land to water on the same vehicle! One small complaint- the tour guide was good fun but talked non-stop and at times it was difficult to separate jokes from reality!

I've did the duck tours in Boston, Massachusetts and it was so cool, that we decided to try them also in Rotorua, New Zealand. The Tour was quite funny with our guide, we've seen several lakes and had a nice ride in a World War 2 amphibious vehicle. If you have some time left you could do the Rotorua Duck Tours.

It's a great day out on the Duck, very funny and educational at the same time. The windows can flap down when it's too cold and there are blankets over the colder months. It's very exciting to splash down into 3 or 4 lakes, depending on which tour you choose. I've been twice with my children and they loved it!

The tour guide was super awesome. He made the trip so much fun, with his sense of humor, and his beautiful stories. We enjoyed every second of our 2 hours tour. Worth every penny.

Thank you so much for the good time, will never forget this experience.

Highly recommeded.

We had a really nice day with Rotorua Duck Tours. Nick our operator was quite funny and throw out some nice puns. People in the reviews talk about Bad Weather Program. We had Good Weather and it was Excellent too ;)

We had a fantastic tour with the Dug amphibian vehicles around the Rotorua area today. Our guide Marcus was outstanding, even though our group size was quite small-only 6 people- he entertained us as if he had a full bus/boat. He shares very interesting and informative knowledge about the geological history and uniqueness of the area and squeezed in a good amount of jokes and humor. A great experience altogether.

Such an amazing experience we had Marcus and he was so funny. He explained everything so well and added jokes in as well. And got everyone to take part also. Loved the fact that he also let us off while he done safety checks was a good time to take some more photos and use the toilets. I would definitely do this again. Marcus you deserve a pay rise

Absolutely fantastic experience. It was such a thrill driving into the lakes and the scenery was breath-taking. And awesome value at only $95 for a 2+ hour experience. The staff at the store where you sign in couldn't have been more helpful. The guide was incredibly funny and I stepped off the tour knowing much more about Rotorua s history and the background of the amphibious vehicle itself.

Great experience, excellent guide/driver, Grant.

This was a fun way to see some of Rotorua and the great lakes that are close at hand. Wonderful history, absolutely worth the tour.

The Rotorua duck tours

The Rotorua duck tours
Oh isnt this a goody of a trip. Went to Rotorua for a funeral. Wasn t expecting to have such a good time! This tour was why. My uncle Danny, was a Rotorua lover, he loved the smell? He loved the weather, and he loved the girls and views. Yet he never told me about the duck tours. I feel like I need to explain the tours. It has nothing to do with ducks!?

I know, we all love ducks, but you ll love this tour more. It s a -boat bus-. I cried when I saw the bad boy of a ride. My youngest son Angus, was a bit down that morning, but after going on the boat bus he was over the moon!! Unfortunately he had to leave the bus boat due to indecent exposure:(
It was amazing driving on the road then into the water.

I did hold the -bus boat- up for a while so I could take my photos, but thank goodness nobody was toooo mad

Thank you Rotorua Duck Tours, you made my uncle funeral trip a good one

Rotorua Duck Tours is definitely something to check out, whether or not you're from Rotorua.

Our Guide was Shelley Moana (Hopefully spelt correctly), a very bubbly and humorous person. The tour never felt stale, and it leaves you wanting to check the places you were shown out more.

The tour itself is very informative, giving you history on Rotoruas Lakes, and other sight seeing places.

The only downfall was not bringing a warm jersey, as it does get a bit cold having no windows (My fault though)

Overall, definitely something worth your buck!
