Recently went back after the renovations. We were so impressed with made by the hill we decided to join up as members! Fantastic location, great atmosphere and good vibes. The only downside is the food does seem to be a little overpriced for location and quality of the food. If the prices were adjusted to reflect the location easy 5-star!

Extremely clean and very nice to look at. Rooty Hill RSL has ample parking spots and plenty of entertainment for most audiences. From live music to trivia nights, the evenings at Rooty Hill RSL are brilliantly fun with facilities cleaned super well. Those looking to play in the games room are welcomed by a huge array of poker machines as well digital versions of BlackJack and a roulette table (though spots are very limited so get there early). Food and beverages are superb with several options available and at a fair price. I would personally recommend having a delicious burger at Chur Burger and then visiting Eat St. Bar for a refreshing drink or two.

Was a member for years but no intentions of rejoining .Had a massive fall there some weeks ago .There was a black out and not much lighting .All they was worried about was trying to keep people there until the power came back on .A big hats off to the contractors who came to help me ..No communication from the RSL personal at all to even enquire as to how I was ..A great club gone to the pack ...

It s been about 5 years since I ve been to Rooty Hill RSL - granted I don t come here generally because let s face it, it s Rooty Hill. But after a long stressful week at work, and a chance at a casual night out with my friend and colleague after months of not having the chance to go out, and being local to home, we got all dressed up after work on this Friday night, turned up in an Uber because we re sensible, we had one meal, and one drink before getting up for the second only to be confronted by a Brick wall of a security guard asking us two girls to step out so we can talk. We obliged, rolling our eyes and asking eachother, seriously? As we stepped out into the main lobby. The guard asked us how many drinks we had and we said we had one meal and one drink it s just been a long week and we just wanted to have a night out. He basically said unfortunately they re kicking us out and then he followed us all the way off the premise as if we were causing a stir or a ruckus or some dramatic scene. We could not be more humiliated or embarrassed by the ordeal and I just think about all the people they let into this place, and some of the people in there that we witnessed in that short time we were there, and wonder how on earth they decided that we were the delinquents and needed to be escorted out. Rooty Hill RSL is a joke. If you want to go out and have a good night, you re better off staying home and sharing a glass with your friend with the music pumped up because their dj plays songs that no ones heard in 20 years - not even the classics - the food is standard at best, and the service.. leaves much to be desired. Completely disgusted by tonight s events. Will never re-visit, or recommend this place to anyone.

I am a regular there, most of the crowd is too. Fairly good casino, but no live playing, only machine plays are there. Food is good but the main food bar closes down at 9 pm. Different music every time I go there. Young crowd is less as compared to older folks.

Friendly and welcoming staff, great variety of restaurants, close to Bowling alley and sports Centre, right next to Novotel, ample parking as well. An overall great place to take the family!

Charlie gives it the big thumbs up and if its good enough for Charlie, its good enough for me.
Charlie says forget those annoying lockout laws in the city. I can walk into the Rooty Hill RSL any time of the day or night and get a nice cold beer!
On ya Charlie!!!

What has happened to Rooty Hill RSL? We went there a few years ago and totally enjoyed the experience. The place was crowded with people and the food was good. We are from Victoria and made the trip back while holidaying in Sydney. Where did the great cafe go. Hardly any choices ,no seniors menu at all, lots of burgers with hot sauces,a fishermans basket with doughy pieces of fish things and the worst chips l,ve ever tasted. Hubby had the fishermans basket l settled for chips $7.00 a serve and tasteless. l was looking forward to a roast even the fishermans basket had no salad to give the dry fish and chips some flavor.l also had a milkshake served in a glass last time they gave me the rest of the shake to enjoy not this time. What a dull menu, there was hardly anyone there at lunchtime some just young workers out for lunch. l can remember some lovely friendly ladies from last time where did they go ,the young people that serve you now couldn,t be bothered. As for the poker machines fellow gamblers beware they are ruthless with what they take and lousy with what they return so save your money. lt,s nice to have a bit of a play but those machines do not pay much unless you play big.All in all it wasn,t a good experience at all and we won,t be back again which is a shame as it use to be a great day out but sadly like a lot of these venues money is more important to the owners than the quality of service .

They were a last resort dinner option on Valentine's Day and I wish we'd gone to a kebab place.

The restaurant left us feeling overcharged and discontent with our meal choices being substandard for an RSL. We left the venue not wanting to return. What was there years ago wasn't as bad as it is now.

Didn't even bother taking photos of the food to share online...
