It s been about 5 years since I ve been to Rooty Hill RSL - granted I don t come here generally because let s face it, it s Rooty Hill. But after a long stressful week at work, and a chance at a casual night out with my friend and colleague after months of not having the chance to go out, and being local to home, we got all dressed up after work on this Friday night, turned up in an Uber because we re sensible, we had one meal, and one drink before getting up for the second only to be confronted by a Brick wall of a security guard asking us two girls to step out so we can talk. We obliged, rolling our eyes and asking eachother, seriously? As we stepped out into the main lobby. The guard asked us how many drinks we had and we said we had one meal and one drink it s just been a long week and we just wanted to have a night out. He basically said unfortunately they re kicking us out and then he followed us all the way off the premise as if we were causing a stir or a ruckus or some dramatic scene. We could not be more humiliated or embarrassed by the ordeal and I just think about all the people they let into this place, and some of the people in there that we witnessed in that short time we were there, and wonder how on earth they decided that we were the delinquents and needed to be escorted out. Rooty Hill RSL is a joke. If you want to go out and have a good night, you re better off staying home and sharing a glass with your friend with the music pumped up because their dj plays songs that no ones heard in 20 years - not even the classics - the food is standard at best, and the service.. leaves much to be desired. Completely disgusted by tonight s events. Will never re-visit, or recommend this place to anyone.
