Really like the food options here. All food is vegan. I'm vegetarian and at first, was a little reluctant about vegan food.. but it was just as good! The duck wraps are great!

Been here a few times and they used to do better cocktails, but think they've changed them recently and have become a little 'boring' which is why they have lost a star.

Still a great place to dine!

I LOVE RootCandi! Amazing colourful, fresh and tasty food. The best service I have ever had in a restaurant. As a vegetarian I actually don't like vegan food but Rootcandi have created something totally original. Superb cocktails and organic wine. An essential dining experience for foodies.

Would have put more, but the service was pretty appaling after the main course had come out. Waiting a good 10 minutes for our plates to be cleaned, and then another 15 minutes for our dessert (currently still waiting as I write this by the way). The restaurant isn't that busy, there are currently 3 servers all just sitting in the kitchen eating and dawdling about. The food is so good, but the staff let it down massively. Very disappointed.

Really good selection of options for vegans, several styles all done really well (Asian, Indian etc). My vegan wife was thrilled and as a meat eater myself I was very pleasantly surprised - far more approachable but same quality as terre a terre

Some friends took me here and being mostly a meat eater I was a little worried that a restaurant serving only cooked plants might not be my thing. I was wrong, food was really interesting, tasty and filling. Service was top notch with the staff taking time to explain the menu. If you love food and want to try something really quite different I highly recommend this place.

The food is so tasty, with exactly the variety of flavour and texture that really satisfies; and not a drop of dairy or one creature has died for the privilege.

Had a brilliant meal here with my family, you know when it's gone well when one of your kids says they want to return on their birthday! We had an oriental and an Indian tapas assortment with a lovely bottle of wine, my top tip is to try and get the table upstairs in the bay window so you can see the world passing by whilst tucking into your tapas.

First time today, very polite and helpful staff, talked us through the menu with recommendations, enjoyed it a lot!!!

Great food, with really good flavours and novel recipes. The wine was expensive, however, and the restaurant was very noisy, making it hard to hear. The views from the windows were of a particularly shabby corner of town, and rather off-putting. On balance, I much prefer their 'parent' cafe, Iydea.

Delicious dishes, lovely layout, definitely try it out. Only downsides are portions are better if you're not hungry and the staff are often busy and therefore slow to serve.

Food is lovely. The staff are a bit all over the place though, and it's very expensive. We're talking similar prices to Terre a Terre, and the food isn't near that level of amazing. Drink prices are over the top.

Nice place, nice service but didn't wow me. I think for the price I was expecting something more special. Overall I prefer the food downstairs at Iydea.

Had a nice birthday dinner at Rootcandi last weekend. It's an intimate space so book if you're planning to go! Good lively atmosphere. Food is beautifully presented in spiral bowls almost like a posh afternoon tea. Great cocktails (we all liked the Dark and Stormy's, Cosmos and Espresso Martinis). Felt sorry for the one waitress trying to serve everyone but she was very jolly and chatted to everyone. Would definitely go back and would also recommend it to anyone (2 of our party were non veg and loved it).

Orgasmic vegan food. The tiny tapas portions packed a hell of a lot of flavour, and the puddings were incredible too. This place would be so amazing for a first date.

One of the best food experiences ever! Highly recommend the Panko courgette buns.

Outstandingly good food. I went here a couple of weeks back with my meat-eating partner (I'm vegetarian) after hearing it was the next best thing in vegan dining in Brighton. I was dubious but we were both stunned by the presentation and flavours on offer. And do not skip dessert... the panna cotta was heaven.

Been meaning to eat here for ages and it did not disappoint. Love the tapas style choices and the taste and presentation were great. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Will def be going back

RootCandi is the place to be. The food was great, the service impeccable and the atmosphere to match. Great Food, Great Company. We left with our bellies full and wanting to go back! Will definitely be visiting again, LOVE IT.

Definitely try the tapas. Cool vibe. We had a mix of different tapas - try the bean fritters, tofu, roast cassava pot (vegan cheese was really good). Service was really good - our host Jess made us feel very comfortable! Book ahead as they're pretty busy

This restaurant serves the most yummy food and has the friendliest staff. Every time we've been, we have loved it. Highly recommend this place for a small bite or an epic feast.

Amazing food and cocktails! Get the strawberry mojito, soooo good. :) Maybe little expensive for the portion sizes but really top class food!

No hot sauce (no sriracha doesn't count, it's basically ketchup) - deal breaker.
