Great atmosphere, delicious cocktails and friendly service.
We ordered the devilled eggs as an appetiser, and for the mains we ordered the yardbird and had the special of the day which was collared green salad with poached peaches and walnuts. I loved everything, the chicken was cooked so well. It was perfectly moist with super crispy skin. The salad was great as it added balance to the meal. The chef also surprised us with corn-soup with salmon which was a tasty treat to end the main part of our meal.
For dessert we got the strawberry fields which was a deconstructed strawberry shortcake. My favourite part was the strawberry icecream.
The food was GREAT!! And the staff was polite, funny, helpful, and even stylish
Ok, the famous chicken deserves a four star, minus one star on the price, it s outrageously expensive. $30 for half chicken??
Generous portions, perhaps a little too much given the richness of the food. Great experience however - good staff and lovely beers. (Mothers Milk was superb)
I love that its Black owned, the decor is an awesome cultural vibe & the food is tasty. It's a little on the expensive side for my taste & I wish the drinks were stronger for the price. They should get some type of brunch bunch special with Pulsd like other restaurants.
When I arrived the hostess told me it would be an 1.5 wait, she asked for my phone number to notify me when my table was ready. After 2 hours of walking the neighborhood, j came in to check. I saw lots of tables available on the patio. When I asked her about it, she act as if she forgot. Once I was seated it. I waited 30 mins for a waiter, and even then I had to wave one down from another table. He took my order, and another 30 mins goes by. Another waiter came and apologize for my wait and asked for my order, I informed him that I gave it to the other waiter. He went in to check, coming back 20 mins later, he informed me that my order was never put in. Once I finally received my food, it was overseasoned to the point where I could only eat very little of it. I was recommended to this place, and i left disappointed in the customer service and food quality.
If you really want a good crispy fried chicken, this isn t the spot. Would recommend the jerk chicken, but it doesn t have that great textured fried outside.
Also super loud at night.
It doen't have too much on the menu that you can order. Its more like a place where you should have cocktails and finger foods. Alittle small. But elegant
The food was the worst. I don't know how this restaurant has four stars rating. The Dj is ok. The jazz downstairs is nice. I would say if you go eat elsewhere before. The decor of the place is nice.
My second time here, the service and food is always spot on recommend to make reservations though. Nice Jazz music and welcoming atmosphere. I always enjoy the experience here as staff and management go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience. Our waiter Was Michael and he was so kind.
This place has some of the best food I ve ever had. Their cornbread with honey butter is to die for. It can be pretty busy at times so I would recommend calling ahead.
Great food and great music. Good luck getting a seat.
The atmosphere was great, the live band on Monday's really put the icing on the cake. Food prices are a bit pricey but the atmosphere and quality of people they attract is only good vibes.
Had a great time. Atmosphere was nice. Food was delicious! They even have us cornbread on the house!
Great, music with DJ's, dance party. Too many people waiting on line, which made it very confusing and unorganized to get in.
Amaze balls. Jamie our bartender was THE BEST. So friendly, natural and welcoming and made us some bomb ice cream cocktail. Grace the F&B manager let us sample some new fall cocktails and Marcus himself was so humble, kind and nice! The service, drink and deviled eggs are all to die for!
This place has a nice atmosphere and good food, but nothing exceptional. We went for their Sunday gospel brunch; they didn't have anything exciting on their menu, mostly just the standard brunch fare, but service was really attentive.
Great food and service, but the prices are a bit too high. You can find similar food at better prices.
Okay, gotta start with the fact that we came because of the Buzzfeed video. We were really enthusiastic about coming here and trying the famous chicken. We got the whole chicken for two with Mac and cheese and biscuit. First I understand it takes a while to cook the chicken. 40 mins later the chicken comes. The waiter takes a photo of us with the chicken then takes it back to "cut it" I'm writing this review as I'm still waiting for the chicken to come back. The people next to us are asking where is the freaking chicken!!! It has been a good 15mins without lying still no chicken. Are they making a new one? So far experience isn't great. Gotta say our waiter is very nice but doesn't make up for it. To be honest the chicken is good and juicy but all the flavor comes from the fried skin only. Overall, would not come back nor recommend the place. :/ also 76 for a chicken and Mac and cheese, 7$ for 1egg and a half. Wayyyy overpriced
