Not only is it relatively close to the people in Ventura county, but it is a great opportunity to learn more about one of our presidents! There s a big plane inside the library and you can go in it! That s my favorite part! They also have the limos and police vehicles used during the Reagan era on display! All though the exhibit is different all the time, they always have an exhibit in addition to all the normal stuff! When I went back in December, the Pompeii exhibit was on display! That was truly a work of art! They had the bones and remains from Pompeii on display! They also had a simulation room of the volcanic eruption! I personally love the Christmas time because they put out all the Christmas trees and stuff! The cafe is good , but nothing remarkable. There s a few foods to choose from but, the selection is quite limited and not very diverse. To me it s not really like a full restaurant, its more so like a cafeteria. The foods they do have though do taste good and are of good quality! The plot of land the Reagan library is on is really beautiful! Its got a view of moorpark and Thousand Oaks! Its also very high up off the ground too! Overall, I would come back here again!

This was my first time to come to any US Presidential Library, and surely I wasn t disappointed. This library is located about 1.5 hours from West LA, and got every information on Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy Reagan.
The staffs were nice and courteous, and very informative. The stars of the collection are Air Force One and Marine One. Don t miss the opportunity to see how the presidents travel in style.

Great place to learn about a GREAT president. We went in the summer of 2015 and from the pictures you will see the place is spectacular. The AF1 707 is amazing to see and walk aboard. It majestically sits looking over the valley and the story about how they got the plane parked there are fantastic. If you visit Southern California and are the least be interested in recent American history, this place is a must.

I have been to a few Presidential Libraries, but none can compare to the Ronald Reagain Presidential Library. Just as he was bigger than life when President, his library is off the charts too. Being able to go into Airforce One was a thrill. I loved being reminded of the sad state our country was in, and how his vision turned the country around. It is sad that we are back in that sad state again. We need another Reagan.

A very thorough recount of history, with so many turning points showcased by the vast exhibits, Impressive what took place in just the first 100 days of his presidency. There is a re-created oval office, Air Force One (and various motorcades) which was a lot of fun, but perhaps one of the most sobering installments was a single piece of the Berlin wall, juxtaposed against a background of open range, as one of the crowning social achievements of our time.

After visiting the Nixon library I had to come here. This place is definitely worth the price of admission as well you can see the Egyptian museum as of this writing. Amazing president with an amazing life. I always get teary eye. So much love and passion and respect towards his wife. Definitely what marriage should be. Have to admit I needed more time to see everything but I'll be back some day and try and see everything. The tour of the airforce 1 is totally worth the wait.

A great display of US history when President Ronald Reagan was in office and when America had a sense of humor. A great place for both Republicans and Democrats alike. You can even see the flash cards that President Reagan once used to tell his jokes during his presidency. You can climb aboard Air Force One and see his legendary limo. Other interesting items you will find are a piece of the Berlin wall and I can still hear Reagan saying, "Tear down this wall!" I love the fact that he wanted to tear the wall down, and now Trump wants to put a wall up in our own back yard. Times have changed.

We went to the Da Vinci exhibit and it was honestly boring if you aren t mechanically minded. The models are cool but the explanations are all about how the exhibit builders interpreted his notebooks. It was overly technical, dry, and not interactive at all.

I wanted more historical context, more in action demos of these models, and more interactive activities. The structural engineer in our group loved the exhibit. Everyone else did not feel the same way. So, if you re really into mechanics you ll enjoy it. If you re not you may want to skip this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed my excursion to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. I've been meaning to visit here ever since he passed away almost a decade ago.

I came as part of a tour bus. That's the best way to go as far as I'm concerned. I don't have to worry about traffic & parking. The cost of the trip included admission & a buffet lunch. Win-Win!

The premises were flawless, with beautiful landscaping all around. The bus dropped us off near the entrance, and there was a courtyard with a fountain in the middle. We started by checking out a piece of the Berlin Wall. On the West German side, there was graffiti all over, showing the freedom of speech they had. The East German side, there was some paint identifying for transport and barriers at the bottom. Fun fact, Carl Karcher donated it to the library. Yes, the late Carl's Jr. guy. Next, we headed to Reagan's grave where he is interred. We had the chance to have a moment of silence & pay our respects. I was a little perturbed that there wasn't an eternal flame on display, but it was still beautiful nonetheless. We then headed to the museum proper & visited the early, middle and later years of the former president. One of the most memorable moments was when we saw on display the suit Reagan was wearing when he was shot. Seeing the 2 bullet holes up close really had an emotional impact, at least to me it did. We also saw a replica of the Oval Office just as the "Gipper" had it during his administration.

The highlight for most people is probably going inside Air Force One. It's a 707, and it's kinda cramped considering the VIP's it held when it was operational. The current administration flies in a 747/757, which is 3 times the size. It was nice to see the requisite jars of jellybeans & the chocolate cake which Reagan would have on hand for birthdays/anniversaries/no reason at all other than to have chocolate cake.

We had a buffet lunch underneath the left wing of Air Force One consisting of salad, roasted vegetables, chicken breast in balsalmic glaze, mashed potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, breads & drinks.
There is also a "pub" nearby, but I don't think they serve alcohol. Just baked goods, tea & coffee. The food was good. There is also a cafe next to the gift shop, offering burgers/dogs/etc. The gift shop was nice to check out. We ended up buying a fridge magnet of the presidential magnet. No stuffed Ronnie doll? Come on!

All in all, I really enjoyed the time I spent here. Not having to worry about traffic & parking was just icing on the cake. I would definitely go again & I suggest you pay a visit too whenever you get the chance.

Excelsior!

Traveled to the area for a work trip and decided to hit the Presidential library with another co-worker. It's a great drive up in the mountains with a beautiful backdrop. Once we checked in, it was a first class experience, from start to finish. Getting to see the entire life, & history of our 40th President, and walk through some great exhibits.

Great Library for a great man. Regardless of your political affiliation there is do much history to explore. Air Force One, a replica of Marine One, limos, police vehicles, etc. They always have special exhibits ( extra cost) that are really great. We have seen the spy exhibit, baseball, etc. We have a membership and go several times a year. The recent fires got too close, they need help with donations to fix the surrounding areas. They are non profit.

Beautiful location. My late husband worked Secret Service protecting the Reagans, Ford, and the younger Kennedy and his wife. Here's a very funny, yet very true story he told me: during the Star Wars Premier, he was given "bathroom detail" while Mrs. Reagan was 'powdering her nose.' This meant he kept the ladies room off limits, no exceptions. Several female stars could not understand why this 'man' was telling them they couldn't use the restroom. His short and to the point answer: " The First Lady is in there." Guess what the stars' interpretation of that was.

We bought this. Interactive exhibition. And it included a full Museum tour.

Multi-hour program. It can be exciting with children.

Everyone on the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We learned a lot about a President that you would never know without visiting this museum. Although I am a teacher, I was surprised to discover how much support for education in California was due to Ronald Reagan along with his efforts to progress women's rights and opportunities. His appointment of Sandra Day O'Conner to the Supreme Court was a milestone in history.

On the downside, I wish they would allow access from the bottom floor to the 3rd floor via the stairs so you don't have to go back to the elevator to go between Marine One and Air Force One.

The museum should be on the field trip list for students.

A very educational and fun way to learn about the 40th President of the United States. The place has state-of-the-art displays and interactive activities. My personal favorites are Reagan's hologram, the Air Force One Pavilion, replica of the oval office and Marine One. The hologram shows the President with his dog in 3d and uses his own voice. The library also has a piece from the Berlin Wall on its grounds. This is also recommended for bird watchers. Quite pricey entrance fee but well worth it.

Ben Shapiro was just here. Promoting: "The Right Side of History", to a sold out room in California? Cool. This was the discussion if you missed it. "This book may be the most important that I ve ever written, because it s about the crisis that Western Civilization is facing right now.
The freedoms we enjoy are built upon the twin notions that every person is made in God s image, and that human beings are created with the capacity to reason. These two ideas revelation and reason built Jerusalem and Athens, which in turn helped build the West.
We can thank these values for the birth of science, the dream of progress, human rights, prosperity, peace, and artistic beauty.
But we must recognize that these values are being threatened by moral subjectivism and the rule of passion. Too many of us have lost sight of the moral purpose that drives us as individuals to be better. By abandoning the values represented by Jerusalem and Athens, we are watching our civilization collapse before our eyes.
My book is a stark warning, a call to spiritual and intellectual arms, and hopefully the first step in getting our society back on track."

Very professionally run and staffed. All except for anyone who has the misfortune of interacting with a woman named Jan. She is short tempered, rude and downright mean. She needs to exploit her demeanor at free venues and earn her pay based on the cost of admission. If she is a volunteer then she needs to move on. If this is court ordered then for God s sake someone sign off and save us all.

(spoilers) I got to go here for a school fieldtrip. I did the Urgent Fury simulation and was a part of the Press Room - lead reporter for L.A.T. Afterwards, a docent helped our group tour the museum and write down things on a "scavenger hunt". It was a truly memorable experience and I recommend the place to anyone who goes.
