We went to Auden Bar and Bistro only for the drinks. It was really nice and drinks were great.

It was alright, to be honest I think I would have been just as happy at a Hilton, been to other Ritz locations across the country with fantastic views and better organization, but definitely better than any 2 star hotel or motel hands down!

Ivor here is the best! Great hotel, only complaint is the noise of the air conditioning, and lobby was bit small(but it s ok by NYC standard)

My husband and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The service was amazing and they were attentive and thoughtful. The bar and lounge area had a nice atmosphere. Location was convenient as well.

The room was amazing the concierge was wonderful. I felt well taken care of.

The rooms were clean and decor of a certain decade and financial level. Gold and flowery. The staff was very friendly.

There are two wonderful things about the Ritz Carlton Central Park - the staff and the location. However, there are a few traps for the unwary that you need to be aware of.

The Deluxe Guest room is advertised as having a quiet courtyard view - this is overselling it somewhat. The view if of the intersection of two back alleys and a disused concrete patio that has not seen any care an attention since the Nixon Administration. This means that your view is of a series of blank walls and concrete and even in the height of summer the room is completely devoid of natural light.

If you are keen to have an experience of what a bunker is like then this is the room for you. Even with all the lights on in the room it is still a dull room. Also as a legacy building the wiring is quite poor - we found it impossible to charge more than one device at a time.

In addition to this the food at the hotel is not all up to the standard of other Ritz Carlton's I use - particularly Toronto and Tokyo. Breakfast is eye wateringly expensive and can easily be inhaled it is that small. A better bet is to walk five minutes up the road and have the breakfast buffet at Southgate which has wonderful floor to ceiling windows and a view of Central Park.

The question is would I stay at this Ritz again when I am next in NY and the answer is probably no. The location is brilliant but there are other hotels in the same area. Granted the staff are excellent but I have found New Yorkers to all be pleasant and helpful despite their reputation.

Also check your bill we were stung for valet parking despite the fact that we had come from Melbourne Australia - it must have been a mighty long drive.

We ate dinner in the restaurant and had drinks/dessert in the lounge. The service was very good, but I was a little disappointed with the chicken

A must see in NYC. Take a carriage ride across the street through Central Park.

I was onsite for press junket. The accommodations were amazing.

I had a friend stay here for a business trip and I stopped by... my goodness the place was beautiful. We had brunch in the dining area, had a couple drinks and I crashed at her hotel room for the night. It was wonderful and the service was great.

I came in, bellman was nice, the guy who checked me in took forever because he thought I was committing fraud because my grandfather used his card to make my reservation, he took 30 mins to verify, and Ive had him make reservations at the ritz before, no problems. After that I got the room and had no view of central park, and went back downstairs and asked to see if they had other rooms, now another girl greeted me, and I asked her for a room with two beds. She offered me one for 4500 extra, and another for 100 extra, which was the standard room with one king bed that I just found out that I as able to get for no extra charge from the internet. Then I told her that I had stayed in a standard room that overlooked central park before at this location and she started to look under my name in the system as if she didn't believe that I stayed here. Overall, too snobby for me. Ive stayed at nicer and more expensive hotels that have not given me attitude (four seasons). For a 5 star hotel, the front dest sure didn't impress. Bedding was pretty nice though.

I came here for a night, the service and the food is top notch I love the atmosphere here they have really good tea as well rooms are GREAT!!!!!

The concierge were great with dinner options and reservations. Housekeeping and room service were out of this world. I would go again!

I can't compliment this hotel enough. I came here for business. It's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. They have a business center, a gym, a coffee shop and a restaurant.

Decent hotel but some aspects are a little outdated.

The facility is beautiful. Great location. The facilities do not justify the price. The employees did not appear to know about the temporary breakfast arrangements. Otherwise all employees were friendly. I received conflicting answers to my questions. There was a nasty perfume smell in my room that caused me to go through a box of Kleenex in 48 hours.

Very expensive luxury hotel. They provide everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay in Manhattan. The hotel is located in a very good location of the city. The restaurant are delicious and expensive.

Went for breakfast. Good but expensive. Shocking, right?

My two sisters and I went for Afternoon Tea a treat from our children. A lovely gift. Enjoy the afternoon

the bar is so much fun. norman the bartender is a doll. he is so great and introducing you to everyone at the bar to make you feel welcome.

This is by far the best Ritz Carlton I've been to. The service is phenomenal including the doormen, front desk, housekeepers, and especially Charles and Aziz in the club lounge. The food in the club lounge is outstanding. My daughter loved feeding the horses every day at noon, and the staff always made her feel special.

I was here on business. Staff was friendly, facilities were clean.

The best hotel in New York in my opinion. The rooms are very comfortable and the value for money is excellent. The bar is wonderful and the restaurant is excellent. We had an amazing experience in this beautiful hotel. We are planning to come back. The service was outstanding.
