Went in for dinner on a Saturday, was told the wait was about 30 minutes (no biggie especially for a Saturday evening). So we waited, meanwhile we noticed several tables opened up and were cleaned off. When I asked one of the employees if there was a reason we couldn't be seated at one of the open tables we were informed that the kitchen got backed up and they informed the front of the house to STOP SEATING GUESTS! I've worked in food service/hospitality for many years and I've never heard such a lousy excuse for not serving customers. I just found this place because I'm fairly new to Mobile, but after this experience I don't know that I'll ever go back!!

We like to try local places to eat, so I took my girlfriend to Roma Cafe for Valentines. It's a comfortable atmosphere that is expected of a non-chain restaurant. We chose a booth for a little privacy and comfort, but our seats were broken. When I sat down the bench did a seesaw motion and sent the padding on the other end into the air. The waitress came pretty quick to take our order. We ordered an appitizer with our drinks, and requested a little more time. Ten minutes passed and she came with our drinks and took our order. Twenty-five minutes passed (I kept track) and we hadn't seen our waitress. Other tables had no trouble getting their food and refills. Luckily, another waiter noticed my empty glass and that we hadn't even got our salads. He showed up with salads and drinks in three minutes. We passed on the appitizer at this point. Not five minutes later our waitress walked up to apologize because it was hectic there. Seeing all the other waiters and waitresses perform without problem I concluded she just forgot us. Our food came out ten minutes later delivered by the waiter. The food was really good! Prices weren't bad, but I wish I had cash to tip the waiter instead of leaving it on the reciept for her. Im hoping she was new, or if not pays more attention to her coworkers The food was worth eating again, but if I do it will probably be to go.

The owner is the chef so the food is always amazing and the service has always been great! One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the world! The Spaghetti Shamino is out of this world!

Caitlin, our waitress was great. She recommended the breaded stuffed spinach appetizer which was excellent but seemed over-priced due to the portion size. My wife had the eggplant and said it was great. I had the chicken parmesan and it was good. We will be back.

Fantastic Italian restaurant

Fantastic Italian restaurant
Roma is one of my favorite restaurants in West Mobile and I eat there regularly. Everything I have eaten at Roma is excellent and I highly recommend them. My favorites are the lasagna and the chicken parmesan. The service is always good. I have a few friends that insist on wine with Italian food, so I will mention that Roma doesn't serve alcohol.

The people are nice. The food was mediocre at best. W ordered the chicken parm and it tasted like something you could make yourself at home. It came with a side salad and unbeknownst to us, w w re charged 75 cents for a tiny extra dressing. The noodles and "marinara" w re made with both penne and spaghetti which was odd to me. The highlight of the meal was definitely the tiramisu! It was fresh and delicious. I won't return for an entree, but I just might come back for dessert!

I went for lunch. Got a meatball sub. The marinara was fantastic. Meatballs were only ok. Some time ago i went for dinner i got chicken parmigiana it was absolutely fantastic I don't know if the meatballs were frozen or fresh on the lunch sub it did not seem fantastic it was average or lower the marinara again was fantastic the quality of the meatball almost took away from the quality of the Ragu

I want to thank the whole staff at Roma Cafe for helping me surprise my girlfriend on Valentin day. The food was great and the staff was awesome! And when it was time for desert I ask her would she be my wife in front of everybody and she said yes! So thank you Roma Cafe.

The food was ok. Im not sure if it tasted good because we were starving from it taking so long to get our food. I dont think that my bad experience was because of the restaurant itself but because my server was really bad and that just ruined the whole experience for me. Overall its like Olive Garden but a bit more local. Its ok for a visit but not worth going out of your way for it.

Not sure why this place is rated so highly. The service was solid but the food was lacking. No one at the table seemed to really enjoy what they ordered. At a table with seven people, that's a sign it probably isn't very good.

My husband and I sure did want to love "Roma Cafa" and we were looking forward to eating here. We left a bit disappointed. We may try it again sometime and get something completely different off the menu. Definitely a non-pasta dish for me next time.

The service was good. Our waitress was accommodating and we were never in need of anything. Our food came out quickly and the restaurant was busy and clean. We were happy so far...

I ordered the "Seafood Manicotti". I had high hopes when it came out bubbling with hot cheese. Anybody that knows me knows that I love cheese, but for the first time in my life I have experienced too much cheese. There were only two manicotti pasta stuffed with ricotta in the dish, surrounded with cheese and greasy oil topped with more cheese. Now normally this would sound great to me, but it grossed me about three bites in. It was just solid bites of cheese. There was very little pasta or anything other than cheese in this dish. As for the seafood part, there were about five shrimp on top that were very flavorful and delicious. However, it seems like they should call this "Shrimp Manicotti" not "Seafood Manicotti" since I was not able to find any other seafood in my dish whatsoever.
I ate about a quarter of my dish, got it to go and I felt a bit uneasy to my stomach every time I thought about it.

My husband got the Chicken Alfredo. There was so much sauce it that it could have been in the soup category.

Again, I might come back and try one of their sandwiches or a non-pasta dish and maybe I will love them. For now though, this is my opinion.

Tried to force myself and my family to wear a mask even though nobody seated had a mask on. Surrounded my family and I in an aggressive manner and told us its the law. Then said we were required to share our medical reasons with them. Its also stunk. Don't waste your hard earned money here.

Roma cafe is a great place to grab some good Italian food. The food is always good as well as the service. I've been several times for lunch and generally can get in and out in about an hour which is pretty good considering the fresh, hot, good tasting pastas and such!

Great

The grilled chicken salad with house dressing is the best I have ever had!! I crave it on a regular basis. Its so fresh, and sooo good. The lasagna is also very, very good!!! You won't be disappointed.

My fiance had some leftover ravioli she bought home to me from here. It was absolutely fantastic! Zesty sauce and the raviolis were meaty! I've never been here but I now love this place!!! Will be visiting soon.

Nice little 'mom & pop' style Italian place. Liked the meatballs in demiglaze appetizer (with plenty of sauce and sopping bread), eggplant parmesan, and of course Tiramisu (not quite exquisite but still excellent).

Meat Lasagna was very good. Great tasting sauce. Lots of cheese. Garlic bread could have been a little better. Biggest downside was the noise. It is an open style layout and people are just loud.

This is such a great place! The location is right by USA and the pricing isn't bad at all! The food was delicious and our waiter Mary Grace was so sweet and very personable she made the experience even better!

Best Italian Restaurant in town however, I was there last week for my bday and we waited for about 45 mins. The restaurant was not full. they just forgot about us. The waiter apologized but they need to pay more attention. I think they are understaffed.
