I aspire to be a great baker. Charla, the cake and cookie / cupcake instructor has been really helpful getting me there. I have learned so much from her and I love it. I've taken several cooking classes from various chefs too and have never been disappointed. I am constantly there buying all kinds of their stuff. They probably have the best selection of everything you could possibly need for cooking and baking in this area. Love them.

Spectacular small business!!! It's a wonderful kitchen supply store, much less expensive than the mall stores and their cooking classes are the best! The owners and staff are the kindest folks around. I can't say enough good things about The Rolling Pin!!!

Our Team at work selected Rolling Pin for a team building event. Twelve of us were guided through cooking our own dinner. Wine and beer was available - we truly wanted for nothing throughout the evening. Apart from enjoying ourselves immensely, the cooking experience was extremely well guided and our Chef / Instructor was both entertaining and informative. I highly recommend checking out Rolling Pin. Among a sea of businesses hosting group painting events, group crafting events, and so on - Rolling Pin stands apart with an experience that affects everyone on a deep level: Food shared.
Fun, partnership, conversation, sharing, learning, laughing, connecting, ...and food. It's a brilliant business model, and a very enjoyable experience.

If you love to cook, this is the place for you. They carry most of your cooking and entertaining needs. They even offer classes to learn cooking skills. I just attended the knife skills class and I ve learned so much. I plan on taking more classes in the future.

The staff are always so helpful and willing to help you any way they can. And the cooking classes and demonstrations are wonderful. I'm so grateful to have a store like this in the Brandon area.

Today was my first time here and I loved it. My daughter is taking a baking class and really enjoying it, so much so that I signed up for one as well! The shop has all kinds of culinary supplies and fun devices to use it the kitchen, also a large selection of different salts, oils, etc. The customer service was first rate. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went to learn the basics of cooking as well as spend some time together. Not only did we learn good technique, we always ended with a great meal and had lots of fun. Chef Dave is very knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly.

This place is filled with so many different kitchen utensils and accessories. You could be in here for hours looking at all of the cool gadgets. They've got mortar & pestle, tea infusers, aprons, 40 different kinds of spoons, kitchen decor, spices, and SO MUCH MORE! Super great store that probably has exactly what you're looking for!

I just want to give some serious kudos to a store with a true customer service orientation. My husband needed to replace our oven thermometer on Sunday, so he ran over to the Rolling Pin in Brandon at 9AM to get one, not realizing the store did not open until 11AM on Sundays. The owner of the store was onsite preparing for a class and saw my husband, opened the store, and made the sale. The service at Rolling Pin and the quality of their products has always been top notch, but this particular event demonstrates just how important service is to the owners of this store.

For those who are unaware, the Rolling Pin performs many services well beyond providing amazing cooking supplies. They have cooking classes, as I already mentioned, and will sharpen your knives. Any time we need an unusual cooking or baking item or ingredient, the personnel at the store have been able to help us, even when they do not carry the particular item.

I love this place. It is my go-to for my cooking and baking needs - and I love the classes! I've learned how to: make sausage, cheese (ricotta and mozzarella), lasagna, macarons, risotto, scones, butcher a whole sirloin, knife skills, and more. Chef Dave is awesome and the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable.

They're calendar is full of cool stuff to learn and I highly recommend trying one. There are both hands-on and demonstration style classes, and you get 10% any store purchase when you attend one. Class prices are also generally less expensive than at Sur La Table and other venues.

There is also a rewards program where you get a $5 off coupon for every $100 you spend. And they have some of the BEST sales pricing for Wusthof knives in town.

Worth the visit.

I went into this store after hearing about the cooking classes. I was thinking about buying a series as a wedding gift. I was in the store for over 30 minutes - not one person working said hello or offered to assist me. They were not busy helping other customers, they were busy gossiping about someone.
Because I was interested in the classes, I did ask a woman for information. She told me it was not a great gift idea, and then she said it was probably a "bit" out of my price range!!!!!! How does she know what my price range is? How insulting and rude to assume that cooking classes are out of my price range. Perhaps I was not dressed in the "right" clothes - since I stopped in on the way to the gym I guess I looked liked I didn't belong in the Rolling Pin. She suggested a cookbook as a great wedding gift.
I had seen enough, and heard enough. While the cooking classes are expensive, they are NOT out of my price range and would have been a fabulous gift. But - I refused to spend a dime in the store - nor will I ever. ALL of their merchandise is available at most stores and all can be found online - for much less!
They will not be around long if they treat customers this way - they lost a customer in me. And, it was so insulting I recommend people shop elsewhere unless you dress like you have money.

Love this place for thier selections of Kitchen supplies.. Not many places carry Ooni pizza supplies, and I have been able to run in here and pick up what I needed. My wife also loves thier selection of flavored coffee beans that we can use in our espresso machine.
We are looking forward to taking one of thier many cooking classes soon!

Love shopping at this place. I was there a couple of weeks ago & saw a cake mold with a cutout so you can add candy in the center. I went back today & it wasn't there and kinda bummed. I told the sakes associate and she found it in the clearance section. Now to make the cake & surprise my friend with it.

Learned how to make fresh ricotta and mozzarella today with Chef Dave West! Never going to buy store bought ricotta again! It was so easy to make! Making mozzarella was easy too except for forming the balls. Definitely need to practice more!

If you are looking for cooking and baking pots, pans, utensils then this is the place. They have the everyday and the unusual great finds. They sell Green Egg grills. But best of all are their cooking and baking classes. It is worth the trip to sign up and attend. Friendly, helpful staff.

My children school attended a field trip to this facility two years in a row. I would not recommend this facility for any school field trips. Personally I wouldn t even buy items from the store knowing how they treat people. The chef who runs the class is ridiculously out of control. He yells at the teachers, parents and children continuously. He threatens children who are not sitting properly that they will be made to stand for the duration of the field trip. He yelled at one of the third-grade students to the point that the child was crying. Perhaps he is forgetting who is paying for these field trips. They need to stick to selling overpriced cookware and get out of the school field trip business.

For every 1 star review posted, I read clearly; attitude!!! The shopper has "attitude." I've been a happy customer for many years! If you enter any place of business with a smile, you will get a warm response.
The staff is kind, helpful ... don't confuse being ignored with being allowed the privacy to browse. The public in general is rude! I see it so often. AND, the typical customer no matter the store, doesn't know how to be congenial. They are demanding and treat sales people as "sorry help." So, You can go to Rolling Pin or Wal-Mart. Go where you find your kind of satisfaction.
Brandon is most fortunate to have Rolling Pin close by.

I was disappointed they did not carry the ThermaPen mk4 instant read thermometer. Also, they did not carry the excellent OXO brand. It seems like they have fallen behind the latest trends in home baking.

The cooking class was fun and the food was phenomenal but the guy leading the class needs to take some classes in etiquette. Maybe he was trying to be funny, and is just very socially unaware, but almost all of his comments rubbed my group the wrong way. He was very patronizing and even when we asked the most reasonable questions he would have a snarky comeback, rather than just answering the question like a normal person. I wouldn't recommend solely because of his attitude and comments. Just be nice, sir.

Whether you're interested in a hands-on cooking class, a demonstration cooking class, or need an exotic spice, oil, or cooking gadget... the Rolling Pin will have it! I was delighted when I found out that they stock all of the specialty cake decorating items like fondant and color dust. I can't speak for what your individual needs are so you've got to take 10 mins to stop by this wonderful store. You'll be blown away!

I love to cook so, Chef Dave and crew are great to work with and learn from. In the past I've shopped there, taken classes, and now have added the big green egg at home. Chef Dave was super helpful with this process.

Very busy on Thanksgiving eve. Adequately staffed and greeter led me right to the department I needed. All staff and patrons were wearing face cover/masks. A pleasant surprise.
Love this store.

I had great customer service here. One lady there was very eager to help & give her advice & even took the time to show us how a couple different things worked, but it was almost to the point of her being overly helpful.. I can't complain though. We spent over an hour in the store looking at everything! My one complaint is about their teas. MAKE SURE you get a tea you know you like, or only a small amount of one you want to try. They do not allow returns on the loose teas. My husband accidentally bought an entire pound of the wrong tea for me, which I never opened & they would not do a return for me.

Every single employee was rude to me. I was so excited to try this place out and assumed they would assist me in finding what I needed, and they would blurt out how I didn't have a specific list, like asking for their advice was not in their job description. I felt so discouraged upon buying baking supplies for the first time that I came back that same day to return all the items due to not wanting the association when using the equipment for baking. My advice: Know EXACTLY what you want when you go to this place and don't expect good customer service. Very sad and disappointing first time experience. Will only go back because of the location. I recommend Sur La Table in Hyde Park, much more pleasant experience and killer customer service. Worth driving out of Brandon.

We went there 2 years ago for what was advertised as a perfect date for wine and chocolate truffle class. It was not a great date experience at all seeing as the instructor separated us into different groups and we had no interaction with each other for the whole experience. When I told her we were on a date she was very rude and sarcastic and thought it better to split us up than the large group of women who attend regularly. On top of that, the instructor was very staunch, had no personality and seemed intent on establishing her superiority in the kitchen even though it was a beginner level class. I enjoyed the wine and made new friends but it was more like boot camp than a fun cooking experience. Without the free wine, this class would be intolerable. We never went back.

Love this establishment! Cooking classes are so good and fun. Wish I could go to all of them! My grandson loves the cooking classes too. Took my husband for his birthday loved it so much he wanted to go again. Pasta making class was great too.

We like the selection of items and samples to try at this store. Unfortunately, one of the staff members was rude to our family several times during this visit. We have two daughters, ages 5 and 7, that were with us on this rainy day. Our first encounter with the staff member was outside on the sidewalk two stores down. She was rude when trying to walk by to avoid the rain, and even pushed our 5 year old out of the way when our daughter didn't move fast enough. We also had this same issue with our 7 year old inside of the store. As we walked around the store, we were not met with any help. In fact, when we were showing our daughters the kitchen to see if they would want to take a class, the same staff member came over abruptly and rudely said "What are you looking for?" Inferring that we were in an area that we shouldn't be. When we checked out, we confronted the staff member and let her know the incidents were unacceptable. She was not apologetic. Instead she defended her actions stating that she was just trying to get in the door. As we made our purchase, she didn't say thank you or anything. She did however have the audacity to ask us if we were in the rewards clubs. Needless to say we didn't sign up.
