I know the Red Hat because I often go to the Ekklesia on Sunday. It is a beautiful holy place then, with a long and special history. But also for lectures and debates, the Rode Hoed is the right location right in the center of beautiful Amsterdam.

One of the most special locations in Amsterdam. An old church, hidden behind a canal house facade. Inside so well maintained and restored that both the authentic and the modern character of the Rode Hoed can be felt immensely. And then you can also rent it for parties, parties, congresses and what not! Or enjoy a concert at the weekend! Very cool! Oh yeah The Red Hat, that's what it's called because there was once a hat business before it was a church, but we're talking about the late Middle Ages, bold anyway!

Nice location, only from the outside is not very noticeable. Spacious inside. Women's toilet is downstairs, which is a bit awkward because of the old stairs (especially with heels on). Employees were friendly. Tasty red and white wine!

De Rode Hoed is a pleasant cultural center in the heart of Amsterdam, located in an old hat factory that has been converted into a hidden church. The seats could use some improvement. A performance of more than 2 hours hardly keeps you going. In terms of staff, it seems that they opt for inexperienced and inexpensive in particular, which causes long waiting times during breaks.
