Everything 5* bar the breakfast issues we encountered. Breakfast needs improvements to be anything beyond a 3*. Tables empty, yet uncleared, wrong drinks brought, no butter, no follow up from staff. Seemed chaotic. Wonderful meal in the orabgery the previous evening. Nice spa.
Beautiful 5* hotel and spa set in hundreds of acres of rolling countryside, superb rooms and suites and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly reccomended . Try the spa garden.

We were shown the grounds by Judy and were blown away by the cleanliness, friendliness and beauty of Rockliffe Hall. Judy was fantastic, she was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable in responding to our questions. 5 stars from us.

This hotel is stunning for its location and interior. Food was stunning both at breakfast and dinner. Spa is exceptional. If I had to pick fault it would be the bathroom, didn't feel luxurious like rest of room and TV in bath wasn't working.

I came here for a meal in last month, and the service was good. Although one waiter was highly talkative and at times, intrusive.
The appearance of the food was spectacular and presentation was some of the best I have ever seen. However the taste and quality was mediocre and, in my opinion, not worth the price. My friend had the steak which she said was similar standard to what she always has, but nothing special.
I had a chickpea burger was was quite bland and a cheesecake desert that was very bland, which was disappointing because I love cheesecake! I also had a crumble which, again, was well presented but not the most tasty.
Overall the presentation was very good, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend eating here if you'd like a flavourful meal that gives you value for money.
Was gifted an afternoon tea voucher as a wedding gift and booked in. Learned the tea was now served in the clubhouse instead of the brasserie, but this didn't detract in any way from the experience.

We have stayed at the hotel several times and never had a bad experience. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our bikes so we had to use the hotel ones. This was a free service. One of the best hotels that we have stayed in.

Our room had a little private terrace with beautiful views and the most comfortable bed of our trip.
Hotel was amazing. We spent almost all day on the spa and then the spa garden which is worth the extra money. We ate room service and had breakfast in bed which were both really nice. Stayed in New Hall junior suite.

From the moment you drive into Rockcliffe your troubles seem to melt away, the welcome is always friendly and the staff can't seem to do enough for you, the check in is fast and effective in letting you know where everything is in relation to your room,
The old hall superior room we stayed in was stunning and so well equipped, the bath was a lovely size and the TV on the tiles lets you while away a little longer in the bath tub!
Leaving the room for dinner the soft music coming from the live pianist is always a good start to the evening, the menu in the Brasserie was excellent and the service top notch!
A late drink the residents bar is a must, of course some rooms are nicer than others..
Come morning there was a tiny issue with the water which was resolved before it became a problem, The Breakfast was excellent and the buffet as well gave some good options to compliment the cooked breakfast.
Then it was off to the Spa which is one of the nicest Spa's I have been too in the UK!
Always do the Garden Spa before you leave and remember have fun, and try the golf driving range (free to hotel guests)

Fabulous place been a few time for a treat night. The spa is great, the rooms are beautiful and the whole place is stunning in the sunshine. The food is spot on and the cocktail bar is a nice place to relax.
Lovely spa, but children under 18 is only allowed in the main swimming pool! There s a sauna, a spa , a extra lovely spa garden and loads more!

Had a spa day here which included a treatment. The welcome was warm, but our welcome drinks in the bar somehow got forgotten, we mentioned it and had them by the pool so that was ok. We also got asked for our printed booking reference a couple of times, but had presented it already, so maybe the communication between staff for arrival could be improved. The spa facilities are really good, lots of variation in the hydro pool and the ice room was amazing (only for about 5 mins though!). Treatments were good, nice friendly staff etc. We ll definitely return!
