Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery Review

It is very irritating when you get an order to go and you get back to your office and the order is messed up. Ordered the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy and coleslaw. Repeated the order three times to the guy on the phone. Get back to the office and no gravy. Dry mashed potatoes for lunch and the coleslaw was in a container stuck in the same container with the chicken and potatoes. That's not very appetizing to eat dry potatoes that were stuck to the coleslaw container. Called the manager to discuss and he was too busy to come to the phone after five minutes on hold. Won't be ordering lunch from there again.

We went just for some appetizers and beer on a Sunday evening. Started out good but soon stopped. Didn't get my salad, waiter walked by at least 5x after we got our food before he stopped to fill water, still never asked how our food was. I think it got busier and we were a "small ticket" so he didn't care. I don't think he ever asked how our food was. Had to ask for our ticket after trying to hunt him down for 20 minutes. Food tasted like an Applebee's chain food.

Here for a party in the private room. Staff and service is great. They kept the food and drinks coming all evening.

For the price the food was not worth it. My mom and I got the ribeyes, I believe Texas style and they were too salty. The Cesar side salad had way too much dressing. The wine was gross. But they do make great mojitos. Another annoyance with this place was the bath room was messy and the server was not very attentive. Would not come back.

Rock Bottom is one of the best bars for people in the industry. The service is fantastic in the back bar; whether you're playing pool at one of the well maintained 9-foot tables or at high-top with friends. The beers are amazing, fairly priced and great taste, with something new to try on a consistent basis. Can't recommend this place enough for a post shift beer!

Alex King was absolutely wonderful. He is the epitome of a good server experience. Readily available, kind, and prompt. He holds Rock Bottom on his back! The food was good as well. I got the 2am burger. The beer selection is also worth checking out! Parking might be kind of tough for this location, but it is worth it

Nachos are a delight yet meat needs to be hot not warm.

It does not feels like an authentic place. It would be like going to New York and eat at Friday's. Not bad, but I go for more local things.

Great beers. The food was excellent. The nachos were particularly good. Great service, and a nice outdoor patio.

Decent food and beer, and a nice place to sit and watch the 16th Street Mall.

I am from Indiana and my cousin from California was in Denver so we met up here for drinks and a bite to eat. The food was good as we had appetizers only so the main coarse we cannot grade. The drinks were really good and they didn t hold back on the mixed drinks. The atmosphere was pretty laid back as it was later in the evening. Would return when in Denver again for sure.

Great beer! But awful service and food! We both ordered burgers. My boyfriend ordered his burger without cheese and medium-well done. I ordered my burger (with cheese) and medium-well done. Instead he got his with cheese, mine without cheese and both were burnt to a crisp! And on top of that the meat tasted like it went bad! They gave us new burgers but those still tasted awful. It took our waitress TWENTY MINUTES to come to our table to ask what we wanted to drink. And then after that she only came back to our table once to get our order. We had to flag down another waiter to get more drinks and to look at our burnt food. We didn't finish our food and ended up eating a second dinner later that night.

we were 4, and one of us didnt have the id so the waitress alert all the restaraunt to look if that person is drinking alchool, it was so unpleasent,everytime u turn u can see them looking,we called the manager explained the situation and he not only did not wanna serve us but took a drink in front of a gir'ls face...so rude, the worst experience, and the worst customer service,will never go there again

We got some great beer. We shared an alright app sampler. The boneless chicken wings were way better than expected, the queso was tasty. The fried pickles had good flavor but I would have liked them a little more crispy. I would probably give the food a 4.5 if that were an option. I had a nice time at a clean table with good service.

Outstanding food . I had the makers mark gorgonzola burger.. to die for.

The food was great. We had beer battered Cod and I had a spicy sizzling steak. The beer from the brewery was awesome. Everything was cooked perfect, and thus was personally one of the best steaks I've ever had. The server was super nice and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere and great food and drink.

I went to pick up a to go order and I was told it wasn't quite ready yet, okay that's fine... So I went to sit down & wait for it to be ready. The hostess' were talking amongst themselves in a small group about something like vacation/ going out. I was sitting there waiting for my food and out comes another lady that sets food down right at the counter. I look at it wondering if it's mine... The women continue to chatter among themselves without even looking at the order. Then the first lady who originally helped me came from around the corner and saw that I wasn't helped yet, and she was the one to give me my food. I didn't even sit down to eat, but the first impression upon walking in, not sure if I'd want to.

Extremely disappointed with our experience.... We have a private "area" rented for our companies Christmas party and had uninvited guest walk into our space and start a commotion. We asked our servers and the hostesses to get them out, even asked them to call the cops, and they all just stood there like deer in headlights.... After the random uninitiated guests were removed from the resturant, our serving staff decided to stop service to our entire group. Please don't make the mistake of paying this place to host any event, I know we are regretting doing so Pitiful pitiful pitiful.....

I went here yesterday with my mom for lunch. The food and service was AMAZING!!!! A lot of restaurants I've been to lately have been very disappointing and I was very pleased with how well this was for us. I got the pulled pork and it was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had!!! Definitely will come here again and recommend it to others!!! :)

Turkey burger and regular burger were excellent! Beer was great. Service was very nice.

I went there with a friend for a couple beers and some late night appetizers. The food was good, and the service was quite good, aside from the (other) employees bothering our waitress.

Great ambiance for a bar and has dome great food options too.

Terrible service. We weren t greeted for over 10+ minutes until we asked for a server. Ordered pizza and weren t given plates, had to eat off napkins. Never were checked on until drinks were dry and we had been sitting for 5+ minutes.

Decent food and alright prices. Great atmosphere. The staff is also very good.

I like this chain of restaurants. The food and wait staff are always good. This night however as we were celebrating a birthday of ladies shots were going down nicely, until... an order of shots came to us with lipstick on the glasses... this freaking bartender wasn't giving us clean glasses, he was just reusing the ones we had already used. I was furious!! I sent them all back. So they lose a whole star on kind of this dude...

The chicken in the quesadilla was chewy. The cocktail was the most sugary syrupy thing I've ever tasted. Service was okay.

Ruining and reputation of you have one using grub hub....worst experince ever.....got 10 percent of my order from a driver that didn't speak English and never gave me a receipt...spent an hour on there customer service hold before hanging up....when you sign up it reflects you..87.00 dollars later.had a PBJ and went to bed ..no more you or grub hub ..

As someone that goes to Rockbottom 1-2 times a week and always leaves at least 20%, it was extremely disappointing to sit there for over fifteen minutes without anybody saying anything. There were at least three servers walking around us that refused to make eye contact. We told the host ten minutes in that we hadn t been greeted. I saw the host talk to a server immediately after and still nothing. I guess our entire office will not be going here anymore.

Our server was great, but the food was really greasy- and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. Not sure where the grease came from. Good atmosphere though!

I would have loved to to be able to write a real review of Rock Bottom. However, we were refused service following a protest and I am only able to write this. We wanted a drink after the Colorado Stands with Planned Parenthood protest at Skyline Park. We were dressed in pink, and one of us was carrying a sign. We entered the restaurant and saw at least 75% of the tables were open, along with perhaps a dozen tables outside. Despite this we were told the wait would be at least 35 minutes. Everyone else coming in from the protest was told the same. I am extremely hesitant to accuse an establishment of this type of practice, but the circumstances were simply too bizarre to ignore. I would welcome an alternative explanation from management for these events, and I would be thrilled to remove such a negative review.

Came here for the happy and got 2 red rocks beers and a pepperoni pizza, and I was not disappointed! Do not miss the $3 beer during happy hour and $7 pizzas!

First time at this location. Used to visit in Milwaukee and loved it. This one is just as good. Nice waitress, good fresh food, and one of the few remaining restaurants like this. This is exactly what Fridays, Applebees, and Ruby Tuesdays should be.

We actually ate here twice while in Denver. Both experiences were excellent, however we enjoyed the second time more because we got a table in the outdoors area. Food is excellent, drinks are fresh, and craft beers were great. I recommend getting a flight of beers so you can try more than one. I have posted a picture of the flight so you will understand. Highly Recommended

I liked the food even though it was a little pricey.

The Rock Bottom Restaurant has it's own brewery inside. Delicious Santa Fe with grilled chicken salad and pair with cool refreshing local brewed beer is a good delight for visitors in the area.

We had a great time for dinner here on a Saturday night. We both felt our steaks were excellent, and had great service. Was suprised to find out this was a chain brewery, but it has been in Denver for 25 years. My husband ordered the sampler of beers and really enjoyed some of them. Beware, the Sampler glasses are surprisingly large

Good beer, okay food, location is right on the mall which means it is touristy. They have a good patio that is great for people watching when it is nice outside.

Gage was our awesome waiter! Splendid food and speedy service 10/10 !

First I want to say thanks to the staff (Shawn, Chelsea, and Kozy) at the bar. They were all very welcoming and helpful.

The environment was exactly what I was looking for, and the food was great and the beer selection was amazing and tasty.

I enjoyed the place so much I returned a few days later and even reordered one of the same dishes both nights (poppers).

Came here on Super Bowl Sunday, and the atmosphere was rockin' with plenty of big screens. My burger was excellent. The in-house brews are the same basic styles that you find most places, but they're quality. The staff was more down-to-earth than I expected. One bartender drew me a map to find other bars nearby that she recommended. We came back at the end of the night.

It's a great place for a Brewery. Trying the beer sampler is a must, the taste's of all their selections are amazing. It also is aesthetically pleasing. Beware of the trays though, the glasses may easily slide/flip through them and fall down. No, they won't ask for money :P

It's one thing to receive good service it's another to be treated like family in a pandemic. Abraham went above and beyond in this high end restaurant not only taking care of me his customer but assisting with all customers. The kind of hospitality you would expect in a small town in the middle of Denver. The definition of above and beyond. The food and high quality mixed drinks offered were excellent.

The place is clean and modern. They burnt my appetizer and their ranch sauce wasn't that great.

Meh...ordered drinks...they weren't even full. The service was blah. Food was okay. Seems like they are just lucky to have people go once. I won't be going back.

Good place to hang out after a Rockie's game on your walk neck to your hotel

I hae dined at a lot of places in my life, and I will have to say with out a shadow of a doubt the best experience that I have had is my time at Rock Bottom Brewery. The professionalism, customer service, and kindness of the staff is exceptional. Special shout out to Mike Mulhern (Server). Mike you rock!!!! Thanks Rock Bottom for an amazing experience. Cheers.

Great spot. Nice and quick staff. Good tv setup. Food and drink are good too (price and taste).

Zero stars is not an option. Three out of 4 meals were terrible and the service was exceptionally horrific.

Really felt like a very processed customer. They don t give you time to finish your beer before they are asking if you re done.

The beer here is absolutely amazing!!! They have beers of the day which are half off!!! Amazing!!! I really have to commend the servers and management! I was dining late one night and left my debit card behind. The server kept it safe for me and I was able to retrieve it 2 days later!!!! Thank you so much! What a lifesaver!!!!

Waiter couldn't get our orders straight when we were checking out, double charged us for items, so we asked him to reprint itemized receipts, 15 minutes later, he brings back said receipts on the wrong cards. We ask him to reprint it correctly. Another 15 minutes goes by, he comes back with more incorrect receipts due to the fact he hasn't written anything down. We literally write out names and what we ordered so he can finally get it right. He tells us we can just leave and he'll take care of it. Come to find out he charged some of us double what it should have been. Very dissatisfied with his professionalism.

The Host Alyssa was great she greeted us as soon as we walked in the door we asked her what was good on the menu and she gave her honest opinion the service was okay Alyssa was the most professional one there thank you for everything Alyssa

I thought I missed Rock Bottom but this location proved me wrong. Not an enjoyable experience yet costly enough($14 for two beers). Went to the bar for a few cold ones- cold being the key term. The menus could've been wiped down. I had a couple of flies around me at mid bar inside, kind of gross. My first beer was pretty luke, so I asked for a chilled glass with the second but couldn't get one due to the brewers' beliefs against it at this location. Ridiculous for Denver, especially since your supposed to be a chain. I couldn't think of an easier way to appease a guest than keeping a handful of chilled glasses around, especially given the size of this place. No attempt to make up for the warm beer either. Also no type of lunch combos/specials/happy hour going on around noontime. Basic AF, just like the beers, which shouldn't be spoken so highly of on the menu. Typical brown ales.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment while in Denver for a professional conference. There were 70+ people in our group so we dined in the huge back room with its own private bar. The servers were amazing and Abraham the bartender handled the large group like a champ! Delish food and delectable deserts! I would highly recommend checking them out whenever you re in Denver.
