Great place, honest people and excellent service. Beutiful landscape with nature trails. Horse back riding. Fine dining, swimming, and more.
I would give 4.5 stars if possible. Not only is it family friendly. But also fantastic place to bring your sweetheart. Or to come alone and just relax. This post may almost seem like a advertisement. However, it is not. I am actually a former employee. Who lost my position. A short time after being hired. Even though upsetting to me. I must be fair and truthful. Fox hall resort is a awesome place.

Foxhall Resort is just beautiful! We hosted our wedding there because it was a local vendor for my husband. We used Legacy Lookout as the ceremony and reception location, and my dad booked both lodges for family and the wedding party. We endured several hiccups the day of, but the staff at Foxhall helped the day run as smoothly as possible. Part of our package included a wedding coordinator. I thought our coordinator would be more helpful, but the only time she ever contacted me was for payment. A lot of the vendor information she shared with us was false. For example, we ordered 20 table runners to fit the length of the rectangular tables, but 2 weeks before, we were told we could not use the rectangular tables. We had to use the round tables, and we wasted hundreds of dollars on table runners. Our coordinator didn't even contact us the month of. I would call, and she wouldn't answer or return them. She wasn't even present the day of. I talked with other brides about their experience, and apparently our coordinator was not the person they typically use. For some odd reason, they decided to let her work with us despite her lack of experience. Because this event was not local for me, I was really looking for someone to be much more proactive. I was driving 6 hours to Foxhall to move plans along, and she never could meet me. Also, I found the amount of events hosted at Foxhall the weekend of our wedding just plain tacky. We were told 2 weeks before the event we could not access Legacy Lookout the night before the wedding because another wedding was going on. There were 2 other weddings going on the day of ours, and one the next day. I didn't want to feel like just another bride, but I did. If you want a pleasant and personal planning experience, Foxhall is not for you. Choose a smaller vendor. I don't think they even knew my name when I met 2 weeks before to finalize the layout. I really could go on and on about my disappointment with the coordinator and lack of communication. Just make sure you get Brooke Tolleson to help coordinate the wedding details.

The grounds and the villas are beautiful. The wedding facility, catering and staff were excellent. However, the service was terrible.

It seemed that this place is in the early phase of a transition from a basic hunting lodge to a resort. The staff were nice enough, but lacked knowledge of basic customer service, let alone 4 star service.

The hotel advertised that breakfast would be available 8-10am. When we arrived we were told there was no breakfast due to a staffing issue. They offered us microwave breakfast sandwiches and directed us to a town twenty miles away.

I communicated with reception to expect a package containing our attire for the wedding that weekend. They confirmed the package would be waiting for us. The receptionist signed for the package with fedex and then delivered it to a staff person with my same first name who then returned the package to the sender. This experience was extremely fruatrating. They gave us a credit, which helped, but we had to go to a mall to buy attire instead of enjoying the resort.

The Villas walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors conversations, steps, babies cries, and phone rings. They also did not refresh the room.

I have attended several events at Foxhall over the past couple of years & they all have been pleasant experiences. The Legacy lookout, nestled in the countryside with a breathtaking view, has got to be the best kept secret in West Ga.

My husband and I visted the resort last spring to see if we wanted to have our wedding there and it was PERFECT. I knew right away it would be the perfect place for us to say our vows. The resort is beautiful and the people there were so nice and showed us around. We ended up having to go with a different venue becayse of budget reasons, but if we had they money this would have been the place! I highly recommend it!

Falsely advertised the movie in the woods event. Stated in website there would be food trucks and fire pits. The gate was to open at 6 pm. We arrived at 6 sharp and they had open the gates much earlier. There was only 1 food truck with an hour wait and eventually ran out of food. There was not fire pits and not enough porter potties. The entire evening was a waste of money. Leaving 3 stars instead of 1 due to this was an event and not actual staying at the resort.

If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this is the place for all... Beautiful clean lakeside rooms close to pool and Tennis. Very family friendly. Only downside is the Paddock restaurant only has a limited menu for takeout, no other food options for atleast 20 to 30 minutes drive. Another plus would be the premier activities. Horseback ride with Ashley was awesome, she was very knowledgeable and very friendly. At ride around the property was so much fun. I love this place

Couldn t have been happier with their service and professionalism. Abbie at the welcome center did a fantastic job with welcoming us. And answering all of our questions. I would definitely recommend fox hall to anyone, that hasn t been here yet. The atmosphere of other guest was great. Never rode a horse until I stayed here for the first time and the instructor Ashley was Phenomenal from teaching us some basic ride maneuvers to telling us about herself and about history on Fox hall, and memberships. The rooms were amazing. Bed was super comfortable. Very spacious. I can not thank y all enough. Y all definitely made our weekend wonderful and memorable. Thank you!

Foxhall is a hidden treasure! I shoot sporting clays at venues all over the Southeast. This is an incredible setting, but even more importantly- the staff from top to bottom is friendly, supportive, and accommodating. I strongly recommend Foxhall for a wedding, corporate outing or just a day at a beautiful place. Well done!

This place used to be awesome 5 years or so ago. Went back sept of 2020 and it looks like the owners are running a very lean staff on the non-wedding side of the house. It s roughly $90 for a round of sporting clays. The staff was super friendly and helpful but it looks and feels like they re doing their jobs with a quarter of the budget they need. Half the throwers weren t functioning properly in some form or fashion. If this was a buddys backyard it d be great but for 90 a person, the front of the check in building shouldn t look like a junk yard with 4 broken down atvs/ golf carts. If you re going for sporting clays, I d go somewhere else. This place was amazing back in the day but sporting clays isn t something they seem to be focusing on currently.

Paid $60.00 to see an "interactive" movie. There were supposed to be games, trivia etc.. along with haunted food trucks. There was nothing interactive, no games, no trivia and only one guy selling horrible hamburgers you had to stand in line an hour for. We, along with many others, left 20 minutes into the movie.

My family has been enjoying shooting at Foxhall for several months now and could not be happier with the shooting grounds, the staff, and the overall experience. I also attended a sporting clays tournament there in May and it was very well managed by the Foxhall outfitters and other staff and the food served was wonderful. We are considering the sports lawn for our company picnic this fall and my family continues to shoot there on a regular basis. All the shooting venues are first rate - wobble trap, covered and open 5-stands, and especially the sporting clay course. I highly recommend Foxhall to any shooter whether a novice or seasoned veteran.
In addition to shooting and outdoor event locations, Foxhall has one very nice, large indoor event venue and is adding another by converting stables to event space. Looking forward to seeing that space when it is complete this fall.

Stunning property. The cottages are fantastic. The two bedroom suites have balconies in both bedrooms, as well as a sizeable balcony downstairs. Beautiful view when the sun is going down. I attended for one night only for a work related function, however I would have loved to stay a week + to enjoy everything that Foxhall has to offer. If you are considering, please do it! This is also a stunning wedding venue for a rustic wedding.

Beautiful area! The place is kept completely immaculate and is well taken care of. As I was there for a wedding, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to what I needed. The roads within the resort could use some more lighting at night though.

Accidentally found this resort (and specifically the nouveau-rustic and charming Paddock) on our way to a newly restored garden in the area - we were treated to excellent service and very good food for lunch. There were only two of us but all the staff was great and very attentive; the manager talked with us a while as we were one of the few groups at this amazing spot. The development of the resort is ongoing but the landscape and pastures, hedgerows, etc looks to be long established. We were extremely pleased to make this find!

I recently had my wedding at foxhall resort. All experiences leading up to my wedding day were great until the day of my wedding. Their employees were rude and less than helpful, one sat in seats meant for guests all night on his phone. When asked what he was doing he got an attitude and argued with me right before I walked down the aisle. The next day my husband and I contacted Brooke Tolleson to inform her of what had happened with this young gentleman. At first she was very polite but by monday her tone changed, she was rude and condescending. She even went as far as stating that I had slapped a groomsmen and our wedding (which was 25 guests) was wildly out of control. None of which are true. We called the wedding quits at 945 because both my husband and I were exhausted. On Tuesday it changed to that i slapped my Husband, also not true. Even if I had slapped someone it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that her employee sat around all night on his cell phone. The "facility coordinators" also took it upon themselves to take and eat the wedding favors that were meant for guests. Not a single one of my guests got any of the wedding favors. When all was said and done Brooke told my husband she couldnt take him seriously, that the conversation was over and hung up on him. Many of my friends and family left reviews of what they experienced that day on the foxhall facebook page and foxhall deleted all of the negative reviews. Instead of apologizing and rectifying the situation, Brooke did everything in her power to make it out as if i was the bad person. They are far from professional and I would suggest everyone stay away!

Great atmosphere and well keep grounds where all the activities are located. The only thing I'd recommend is adding more shaded areas by some of the activities because it can be brutal in the summer.

February 2020 was my first time visiting Foxhall. ...

February 2020 was my first time visiting Foxhall. I had an amazing time and decided to return. I booked my May reservation online, keep in mind the website does not state that the resort is closed. I received a telephone call the Thursday before my Sunday stay. The women explained the contact-less check in and told me I would receive an e-mail with my room number and all of the resort information. I never received the e-mail and when I called on Friday that was the first time that I learned that the resort is closed and no one would be manning the phones. At this point I began to panic. I left voicemail and sent e-mails trying to get someone to respond so that I could find out my room number. Well, no one called or e-mailed me. On Sunday, I was reduced to lifting up random door mats in an effort to find my welcome packet to determine which room was mine. During my search, I saw a man sitting outside one of the rooms. I asked if they had been given an emergency contact number and as he was about to answer his wife came outside and asked if I was Tanisha. I confirmed that I was. She then told me that she received my e-mail by error. She was able to give me my room number. This experience is unacceptable and very inconvenient. I do not know what information was on the e-mail so I do not know if my address was noted on the e-mail or any part of my credit card number.

Once I arrived in my room, I noticed there were no chairs in the screened-in porch so I was not able to enjoy the lake view unless I brought the indoor chairs outside. It is noted that the other rooms had wooden chairs outside. There were spiders inside which I had to kill. Both plugs above the sinks were inoperable and I had to plug in my flat iron in another socket in another room. Also, one of the light bulbs in the bathroom was out.

This is not what I expect for $330.00 a night. I left a note asking someone to call me back and it has yet to happen. I am disappointed and I will not be back because their lack of action has demonstrated a lack of concern about my experience.

Went to The Paddock restaurant at Foxhall for their Valentine s Day special. It was so delicious! We were not aware that the menu was set for the special occasion. It included a appetizer a choice of 1 of 3 entrees and a dessert. I had the pasta and my husband had the tenderloin. I m usually not one to order pasta often just because it typically doesn t really wow me but when the menu said it was homemade I just had to try it. It was phenomenal! It actually had no meat and an oil based sauce with veggies and I was amazed at how flavorful it was despite the simplicity of the dish. The tenderloin was exceptional and very tender. We look forward to eating here again when the full menu is available. Many of the dishes are farm to table and some of the meat is actually from the property.

The attire for that evening had a wide range from casual to semi formal. I think it would be more than appropriate to wear jeans or dress up more and not fee out of place either way. It s a cozy, intimate, lodge feel with a fireplace! I loved the location because it really felt like we were going to a destination out in the countryside even though it was only 15 minutes from our home. The grounds are beautiful to just drive thru. Be sure to call ahead or book online. The hours may vary.

Very beautiful surroundings but the service is subpar. My friend had a wedding here and they took advantage of her at every step. Not worth the thousands of dollars they charge for a wedding. They will kick you to the side when a higher paying corporate account comes along. My friend missed out on several items that were promised to her because a corporate function came along.

We stayed at Foxhall Resort 2 nights. The room was very comfortable. Staff was so helpful as we were traumatized on our way in from the airport because our GPS was not showing the correct maps and not being used to so much traffic was not easy. They welcomed us with ice cold watermelon water and a cool place to recoop. Enjoyed the pool and watching other guests fishing for large mouth bass. When we arrived, the Dove hunt was just starting and got to wish the hunters good luck and say a prayer for the doves.
I love the southern charm and politeness of all we met. The wedding venue was wonderful and for guests' well being, ice cool drinks were on hand to help everyone tolerate the lessening heat and humidity. Again, thank you to the Welcome building staff for all their help and making this trip fun.

Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club was a pleasure to work with. I am the owner of a professional decorating company, GeriSims Productions. My company offers custom draping and decorations for weddings. I had a wedding to decorate at this amazing venue and it was a great pleasure. The staff was very helpful and offered to assist me with anything. Not to mention the Foxhall is a beautiful venue for weddings and allowed to me create beautiful draping. I look forward to working with Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club along with my lovely brides.

My wedding was at Foxhall in June of 2014. We visited quite often to look at the venue (Legacy Lookout) during the year that we were planning. The staff was always helpful and very accommodating. They also were amazing help to clean up after the wedding was over. I would recommend this venue to my friends, family, and anybody who is looking for a great place to have an indoor and outdoor party! I cannot wait to go back one day.
