Nice place to hang out with friends but probably not the best place to have a large get together. Waitstaff and management made it seem like a hassel to allow a group of 15 or so sit at tables together to eat and drink. We had more guests possibly on the way and they would not allow us to save a few seats nearby. Did not make us feel very welcome.

How this place has over 4 stars is astounding. I ve been here three times and every time the service is absolutely terrible. The last and final time we waited 28 minutes and asked for service 3 separate times before a bus boy came and grabbed our order. The busboy himself was surprised we still had not received service. Since then we ve been here for another hour and our waiter never came and no one has even come to collect the bill. We won t be coming again.

Service and food were terrible. Waited extremely long for our first beer. After we finished our beer we waited for 15 minutes, waitress never came by. Had to get up and go find her talking to her coworkers and let her know we wanted another beer. Boyfriend ordered the Reuben. Barely any meat on the sandwich. One slice of cornbeef! I had a chicken sandwich that was VERY dry and awful flavor. With all the great options in Rochester I would not recommend this place.

This place had always been on my "go to" list, but my last visit was somewhat disappointing. Much of the food we ordered was served cold and soggy. Hopefully it was an off day for them, and not a decline in their service/quality.

I was there with a group for the wings and sliders buffet. The food was good, server attentive. However, the items for the buffet came out slowly and randomly, large plates after we'd used the small plates for the food, condiments after we'd had sliders, etc. Should have set up the whole buffet from the beginning.

Good food and great beer selection! Perfect for a night out. Love their homemade selection of beer. You can even ask your waitress to purchase some to take home during dinner. Their seasonals are always a good variety.

Have come here a few times a year for the better part of the last decade and not sure I've ever had a poor experience here. Very consistent with the way they do things. Gets busy on the weekends (or did pre-Covid) so only advice is to go a bit earlier than planned to get a table.

We met friends for dinner here last night and sat on the patio even though it was a little bit warm.

We started with some happy hour drinks and beer and two appetizers including the Whitefish pate and the chicken quesadillas. We also ordered the charcuterie platter and we all picked at it and enjoyed our conversations.

When it came to dinner we had eaten so many appetizers that it ended up with two of us having salads and the other two splitting a wonderful burger.

The atmosphere was perfect. It cooled off as the night went on and the food was really well done. Our server kept in touch to make sure we were all set so all in all it was a perfect evening.

Excellent experience all around. Food, drinks, service were all on point. The brewer's bread makes us want to try the pizza next time. The shepherd's pie was sharable in size and delicious, and the almond boneless walleye was a super flavorful take on a Chinese takeout classic.

Today my wife and visited Rochester Brewery at 2:00 PM. We were greeted politely and the hostess told us that a party of 60 just arrived. We choose to sit in the bar area so we could get service expeditiously. Our waitress's name was Megan. She did an outstanding job today. I would like to also point out that a waiter working in that area going by the name of RJ was unbelievable. He actually assisted Megan and took our order before the party of 60 started placing there orders. It all worked out for us an the food was outstanding. Just a big thanks to the Rochester Brewery and the staff. RJ and Megan deserve special recognition!

Today we did Rochester Mills for lunch. We got there right when they opened at 11:30am. We stopped first at the Urban Merchant downtown that is always a unique visit. We started off with a side dish of their onion rings which were perfect. Then for lunch we both had their Original Mac and Cheese covered in a garlic cheese bread that was a meal in itself. The Mac and Cheese was so cheesy that we were able to dip our bread in the cheese. I also had the house made Porter beer which was rich and creamy. Well worth the stop!

The beer is great, their Milkshake stout is definitely one of my favorites and their Oktoberfest is usually also very good. Staff is always friendly and attentive and the food is usually pretty good. Plus they have free pool on certain days... Last time I went the bartender that we had was extremely rude and short with us, when asked him what the seasonals were he pointed to a board on the other side of a pole that we couldn't see so we actually had to get up and walk to the other side of the bar to find out what was on

We stopped by while were in town because I really like their beer. It was not quite what I had hoped for. First of all, the beer selection was not impressive. For a company that makes 12 types of milkshake stout for the holidays, I had hoped for more options than the same two I can get in the grocery store. The food wasn't really exceptional. The service was good, but the other issue I had was the place was loud - half yelling to hear kind of loud. Honestly, we can get a better selection of their beers and better food at a quieter establishment closer to home, so it's not worth the drive to Rochester.

The beer from RM is usually of high quality but tonight the private event room seemed like they had a problem with their taps. One porter was pouring an odd color and some beers were flat while others were over carbonated. Rather than pull the bad tap immediately, they allowed me to drink a few sips, although I was glad they eventually voiced concern over the questionable beer pour. I'd expect to get the cleanest, best pour from the brewery bar and I have never had a problem with the Auburn Hills brewery taproom. Rochester location was not on point today.

Used to love this place, but the tales of egregious wait times and rude staff are sadly true. Party of four put in an order for lunch and proceeded to wait an *hour* for food.

Waitress rarely came by our table, and when she did, there was no apology - just a brusque "we had a party of 12 and 20 ahead of you." Fine, but the party of three seated AFTER us received their order before us. Don't think a club sandwich and fried fish are all that hard to prepare, either. Portions seem to have shrunk from prior visits; not sure you truly get what you pay for anymore.

Hate to say it, but learn from our mistakes. Sad to see yet another staple fall.

This place has good beers, but middling to bad food, as far as I'm concerned. I've eaten here numerous times but I've never really enjoyed most of it. The pizzas are alright, but that's a difficult thing to do poorly. What's really shocking is that their burgers tend to be disappointing, which I always feel it's hard to screw up a burger, but I've never had one I enjoyed from here. I've also recently tried the poutine; I do not recommend this. If you're gonna get food, I guess I can recommend the pizza, or my friends tell me the shepherd's pie is good, or some of the appetizers come out pretty well.

As for the beer, well, their selection is pretty nice. They brew pretty solid beers. For the most part it's nothing quite out there, but they're all quite enjoyable ones to have with friends or alone. The milkshake stout is a really good one if you're into some chocolatey stouts, I recommend that. This can be found at many party stores and beer sections of grocery stores as a can, and for good reason. Otherwise, I find the Paint Creek Porter to be a pretty solid one.

As for ambiance, they like to have live music, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. I find it slightly more common that it's bad, but it's pretty half and half. I find this pretty normal for bars. I also find it's a place that likes to bring on more country-focused acts, which isn't my thing, so if it is, maybe you'll enjoy that more. In other stuff, I find the bathrooms are done up nice but that they always feel kinda gross. Just last time I went the floor had something on it that made my shoes start slipping around on the tiles, which really spoils the dining experience.

Overall, I don't really recommend this place despite its popularity.

Super busy on a Saturday night! One hour wait for a table, but not a problem as we sat at the bar and enjoyed some of their excellent craft beer! When we got our table, the service was great. Had the delicious dip sampler appetizer which was served nice & hot. Had the Cajun salmon avacado sandwich with sweet potato wedges. Excellent! Wife had the tortellini pasta with palomino sauce. Delicious! All food was served nice & hot! Waitress was very attentive and pleasant! The restaurant is a large brew pub owned and managed by the same group that has the Royal Oak Brew Pub.

Loved my visit here. They have great service, great food, and great beer. I tried a sample tray then picked my favorites. Played pool and had a great time. We were there pretty late on a Sunday and it was quiet and the staff are very nice.
