Though the Rochester Mills Beer Company always seems to be packed when I go there, I cannot quite figure out why. Their beer, made in-house, is simply not very impressive. I'm a huge fan of craft and microbrew beer and have had nearly every beer made in Michigan and I can say, with confidence, that the beer made by the Mills just doesn't compare to other local beers like Griffinclaw or Arcadia. I've also had the food at the Rochester Mills Beer Co and it's not very impressive either. Not terrible, but nothing I've had there was remarkable or made me want to tell someone else that they *had* to get it the next time they eat here. The atmosphere seems pretty cool and, though it *seems* rather laid-back, you'd better not even stand *near* a table that is reserved or you *will* get admonished *repeatedly* to stand elsewhere by the waitress and another manager. Evidently, standing within a foot or so of a reserved table at this place is a huge no-no, even though there was literally nowhere else to stand. A friend and I were waiting for another to arrive and they gave us such a hard time that we got our bill and left! We weren't even sitting at the reserved table! Just standing beside it, but apparently you're not allowed to do that here. Lame. Save yourself a headache and some money and go drink Griffinclaw around the corner at Mr. B's instead! The waitstaff up there are much more friendly and accomodating than the awful waitstaff and management at the RMBC. Ugh!

I visited this place for the first time last Saturday & had a great experience. Cool brewery to try some in-house beer & food with friends & the family. First time I had chicken quesadillas with a hint of beer flavor to it which was awesome. Entertainment wise, they had live music, plenty of pool tables, & TVs. This place was much larger than I thought it was going to be. I would definitely recommend for any sized group!

I have planned many retirement parties and showers at Rochester Mills. They make it easy to entertain large groups in their own semi private area where we enjoyed wonderfully prepared meals, drinks, and could easily mingle! It was my turn this time and I enjoyed the entire evening at my retirement party! Thank you to an attentive staff for making this evening so special!

When you have to wait over an hour to get a table, then you know the place must be good.

It didn't disappoint. Had a fantastic Brown Ale while socializing before dinner. Ate the Rib Dinner; couldn't stop eating the meat. Highly recommend it, the beer, and the place.

It was my first time being there and it took over 30 minutes to get an appetizer, it was cold, had to ask to get refills on drinks, are regular waiter didn't come back until after someone else gave us our bill. Very disappointed in the way everything was. Not very professional at all!!!!!

Stopped in for happy hour.. not all beers are $3.50 just the left hand side of the wall. That s ok, don t expect them all to be 1/2. All apps 1/2 price which is great, ordered wings w Asian bbq was very thin sauce tasted yummie! BUT order was shadowed to be 1 lb wasn t close was probably 1/2 lb or so, not the best ever had but very good. Worth stopping for a drink building is the bomb! Old school in downtown Rochester Great pool tables view or actual brewery.

Large brewery and restraunt close to downtown Rochester. Great atmospher with lots of wood floors, big bar and 5 pool tables available for use. No charge for pool during week but charge $10 an hour Thursday - Saturday. The food is good with a large menu. The beers are varied and very good. Happy hour starts at 5:00 and offers half off appetizers and $3.50 pints.

Enjoyed our visit, will definately go back.

Beer was mediocre, service was poor. We ordered an appetizer which was completely forgotten about and instead were delivered our entree.. the waitress half-heartedly apologized and asked us if we still wanted our dip. What?! After we declined the appetizer after our meal she immediately brought us our bill, with food and full beers on the table. We spoke with the manager who was really nice and understanding but that doesn't make the experience any less unsettling.

Great food. They have the mill that brews the beer right inside the restaurant. The brew equipment is at one end of the restaurant, pool table in the middle. Decoration is nice, kinda of industrial and rustic. As a part of downtown Rochester, you can take a stroll there after a meal. Really love it.

Work experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Food wasn't very good. Clam chowder was awful (how do you mess up clam chowder?). Fingerling potatoes were hard as rocks and not cooked all the way. The waitress was incredibly rude and did not return or talk to us after we sent back the soup. Turned her back to us and told us to go back to our table when we tried to pay the bill (mind you, we were sitting there for 20 minutes waiting). Will not be back. Honestly kind of surprised they're still in business.

Nachos were undercooked, twice and burnt at the same time. Still charged full price. Unwilling to put a football game on in lieu of a minor franchise team for the entire bar.
Beer is average at best.

Group of six met during a school fundraiser night. Didn't have reservations yet our 5:30 timing got us seated quickly. The venue is large and a bit noisy for conversation but food was great and good server too! This was the 4th street location. Live band on our Sat night at 9pm.

Friendly server and neat atmosphere. Appetizers were great. I was surprised at the relatively limited beer selection for a place of this kind and they're aggressively enforcing mask requirements.

I'm writing this review after my second visit. The food is VERY good. The wait staff is nice. However, the service was very slow. My waiter was taking care of a lot of table alone so they are probably understaffed. Honestly only reason I will come back is because they were nice and the food was delicious. The slow service does make for a less than great experience though especially considering it's not necessarily a cheap meal.

Had a cornerstone IPA. It was better than average. The sirloin with balsamic was ordered medium rare but was rare, although it was still very good. The service was awful. Ordered a beer before the food and took almost 15 minutes to get the beer. The rest of the food took almost 30 minutes.

Excellent atmosphere, pretty good service. Food was decent, but not slap your momma good. Beer selection was ok...the Rochester Red was the best I had....IPAs are the worst (not just there's....all of them are atrocious...)

Ordered carry out. Showed up about 20 minutes later only for the person handling carry outs to tell me my order had never been processed- they just skipped right over it by mistake. So now I m stuck here waiting another 20 minutes for the order that they never bothered to process.

Hate that I can't rate higher but as a place I have been many times there is something about their beers on tap. Almost tastes like they have bad lines, as the IPA I had and have had before (Cornerstone IPA) tasted sour and a bit off. Friend of mine who wasn't here this visit made similar comment from their recent visit and we both indicated experiencing headaches after one to two beers here before which again is not normally the case. Too bad, based on how close this is to my house.

I've been going here for years and never had a bad meal. We would always have our Christmas parties here in college and the staff was always very accommodating and kind (thank you for putting up with us all those years!). They've got pool tables and live music which makes for a fun night out if you're looking to do more than just eat. Oh, and get the shepherd's pie because it's the best you'll ever have
