Good atmosphere, but the beer can be hit or miss (definitely had a skunked Belgian there within the last year), and without fail there's always an overwhelming formeldahyde/ chemically smell whenever I go in. You get used to it but it's honestly very off putting and makes me want to try to avoid returning.

The restaurant has done an excellent job adhering to the reopening guidelines. Tables are spaced and servers all wearing masks. No menus but you can't a barcode with your phone to see the menu options. Will be my go to restaurant.

Still like this place... but, concerned if they can survive this pandemic... I hope they can. One of the few family resturants with music and can serve alchohol.... I had plenty a fun night there.

Have been coming here more regularly lately. Nothing to complain about. Consistently good food and the service is good as well... I really like the atmosphere here, although, when busy it can bea wee bit noisy. I'm sure it's not for everybody but that's my take...

It's decent for a pub and I have enjoyed it previously but today not so much. Avoid it on Sundays if you can. The macaroni and cheese is watery and disappointing. Their clam chowder tastes like beer cheese soup and the bread bowl they serve it in really isn't the right kind of bread or consistency. The beer is great and the main reason we come here, the service is pretty good as is the parking. The food needs work.

This was our first time here and I was blown away by the staff and their knowledge. I quizzed them about the mug club and they answered all my questions.
After waiting only 20 minutes or so to sit down we were greeted be our server Greg. He was only of the best servers I have every had. He had great recommendations for food and was knowledgeable of the dishes.
The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely be back! Thank you for the exceptional customer service!

I went here to celebrate my birthday. Wonderful environment and our waitress was VERY friendly. Our food wasn't out in a timely manner because one of our orders had to be redone (and unfortunately, no one told us) and my salmon was slightly over-cooked but the beer was absolutely fantastic! I would still try this place again (especially for the seasonal beers). Hopefully they won't be out of calamari next time.

Nice place...better not drink however the downtown routch cops will find an excuse to pull you over...better to avoid downtown rochester all together...it's just a giant speed trap slash patrol zone for the cops...if you do have to enter the kill zone make sure your car has all its lights working...

Tasty food, decent beer, fun venue.
I particularly enjoy their seafood dishes. Faves of mine are the surf and turf pasta, and the seasonal fish fillets.
The live music on the weekend evenings is a good time.

The saving grace would be the craft beers. We ordered the "fresh ground" Buffalo burgers, they tasted like they were frozen for a long time, bland and had a horrid aftertaste. The buns were cold. I've had Buffalo burgers before and these were subpar.

The fries on the other hand were fantastic, beer was great.

I've had the salmon there before a couple years back and it was excellent. I don't know if it was an off day, bad patties or if their standards fell.

Damn shame.

it's all right place. It has a very historical appearance to the outside and it's just a walk from the main strip on downtown so it's easily accessible to. The inside is usually crowded to the point where you walking sideways between chairs which is not particularly helpful but the stuff is really nice. There's unfortunately not much in the way of parking is so you will most likely have to park further away and walk or have to pay for parking and constantly check your time to make sure you haven't run over the meter. it has a nice setting though, and I always see people going to the gardens around it to take photos for prom or weddings or stuff

The food was subpar, and the service was atrocious. My fish & chips was more like fish sticks, and my wife's $30 steak was burned. We were there for almost 3 hours, due to slow waitstaff, and they weren't busy. I would not recommend this place.

At every points of your experience, from the general manager who greeted me at the door to the bartender who made sure I had the perfect beer to go with my super wonderful calamari order, this is one of the top restaurants in the entire area!
